Yeah well we're gonna have oil-canes this summer.
Mal is in favor of the oil being set on fire so we have fire-canes.

That whole episode is flashing in front of my eyes now. The home reconstruction. the painted dirt, forced pespective oorway and load bearing poster. The happiest man in Springfield, the doctor who saved Ned and then was retconned out when they decided to make him sixty. I could go on to flashbacks of that episode but I' already nearing the family guy rememberance singularity. I don't want to know what's on the other side. It's probably the cleaveland show. eww.

I missed the tornadoes luckily. But I will be joining Seven in cowering in fear as they've actually said with the warmer atlantic waters this year we have to worry about hurricanes...but we're also very far in land so we'd probably deal with not much worse then when we got hit with the remnants of Ivan in 07.
Still, cowering in fear, offering animal sacrifices to the storm gods.
Also, great coloring job on the oil addition seven...looks completely authentic...yes...*gets in the car and peels away simpsons style*

I know it sounds lame, but inspired by the main character of that video, I made a new character in City of Heroes with the same outfit and similar powers (sword wielding and inulverability). Should be interesting.

I got a decision to make. I've been letting my hair grow out, but I have to get my licensed renewed, so do I cut it short or let it stay long, I've had people say they like it long, but I don't know what to decide.

Not. Funny.
I'm fortunate enough to still have some hair up top at almost 25, as my dad had a complete reverse mohawk by the age of 20. I've decided I'm going to do one of three things; (1) Rogaine, (2) keep a military buzz-cut, or (3) shave it bald. Haven't decided as yet what to do.

It is very funny
THe way bald guy's look like a circumcised penis with ears is always good for a laugh.
My dad has all his hair, his dad died in his 80's he still had most of his....a small bald spot right on top but otherwise you wouldn't notice it, because there was still some hair.
But it is after all just hair, & if you go bald & don't like it, there's lots of options.
I Haven't decided as yet what to do.
I have, I'm going to let what happens, happen . But I got a haircut last week & the stylist said there's lots of hair there...no sign of thinning.

Okay, I have to ask; does anybody here get or appreciate the humor of "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job" or it's spinoff, "Check it out with Dr. Steve Brule?" Because I sure as hell don't. Is the whole point of it supposed to be like it's just so stupid that you can't help but laugh at it?

No, you're not alone... I don't find Tim and Eric or Dr. Brule funny at all. I mean, I can appreciate that line of random/ spontaneous/ stupid type of humor as in Robot Chicken... but it's just not funny.
(and neither most of the live action stuff on Adult Swim...)

Ditto.
I think the reason why Robot Chicken can get away with it is it's pretty clear pop culture references they're parodying, while the other stuff doesn't even make sense while stoned.

I actually liked their first show "tim goes to the mayor." It had some kind of frameing premis and, since I'm from a small town, I could dig the vibe of dullness they gave it.
With the current show, I think the humor is supposed to come from how clearly the washed up celebrities don't want to be there.

You know, I never really liked the awkward-silence style of humor in shows like The Office.

I think that style of humor can work but you really need actors who can give it presence. Like you can't just count on the moment to be funny but more you need to get how awkward they feel about it.

I found a Japanese porno starring a woman who cosplays as Rey Ayanami, and gets it on in that outfit.
GOD BLESS THE JAPANESE!!!
Now THERE is something for you to "awkward pause" over.
