Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Monsters Inc and Calvin & Hobbes. The story should use incest as a plot device!

So he has an imaginary friend and things come through his closet to collect his screams and.............I don't wanna play this game.

Okay then, use this one instead...

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining The Brady Bunch and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The story should use floods as a plot device!

Gonna take a lot more than a towel to clean up a flood...

You know what I realized a while ago? That the big stores make it seem like they or their competitors will have whatever you are looking for, but in reality all you gotta do is run down to the hometown shop of your choice that covers what you're looking for. I can't find fuel canisters for my dad's old camp stove at Dicks or LLBean or Cabellas (let alone walmart) but I can walk into any outfitter, hunting shop or fishing store and grab a case of them.

And unlike walmart, if it's not in the store or not carried, you can easily get what you need by asking. You wouldn't believe the amount of random crap that you can get from a distributor catalog like peregrine outfitters.

actually, there's been great stuff with literary mash ups.
Like, one controversial one that I did read some passages from, essentially cuts and pastes from The Story of O "an S&M french novel" and-- if I remember-- A Tree from Brooklyn.

Aside from its very jarring passages-- the results were good.
The controversy stems from... Can people claim to be an author if they're smashing up two or more literary works?

I've done literary smash ups-- I've smashed up Thorton Wilder's Our Town with parts from Night of the Living Dead. It was good enough to be considered second choice, beside the adaption of Hills like White Elephants, to be put on stage.

I've also done a mash up of Shakespeare plays (and only from them) to produce a Shakespearen 10 minute play that utilizes Queer Theory. In my short play, Titania grows a dick and tries to seduce Oberon. It's pretty hilarious....

*shrug*

When my store originally opened up, they told us that we had well over 2 million different SKUs in stock. I don't know whether or not that's true (I kind of doubt it) or average for a Lowes store, but the thing that was also explained to us during our store opening training sessions was that by and large, the majority of our products were consumer grade and designed to appeal to a larger portion of the market, and as such, we wouldn't carry the professional grade products that appeal to a select portion of the market.

THAT'S why you can only find your fuel canisters at the big stores.

Other shit I get asked for on a regular basis...
- Artsy stencils or the material to make stencils with
- Acrylic art paint
- Wallpaper
- Pool paint
- Boat paint
- Automotive paint
- Paint chip books belonging to my competitors...

You get the general idea why I get so fed up.

That's actually one reason you never, never, NEVER buy plumbing fixtures (faucets, toilets, etc) from Lowes/Home Despot. They may be the same brand, same product number, same packaging, but the items sold in the big stores and not from Plumbing contractors will have plastic pats instead of metal in order to save costs, and are generally far less reliable and sturdy than their more expensive counterparts.

Lesson for homeowners: get to know a good plumber and always get your shit from a contractor who gets his shit from places other than the big stores. Many of these places will actually ONLY sell to contractors. Seriously, the amount of money you'll save in the long run is enormous.

Try having a father who used to be a general contractor, and worked on houses that sold for upwards of a quarter million dollars in the 1980's. He gives me crap every-time I see him in the store about how I don't carry the same quality of products he used to use when was a professional painter, even after I explained to him that we aren't MEANT to carry pro level stuff.

If that doesn't give you a complex about your job, I don't know what will.

But a paycheck helps-- having debt and a job that doesn't give you hours is horrible-- and I can't find a second job still.

I'm applying for the MFA in Writing at University of San Francisco... we might as well be neighbors in the future, Brian...

Really. The customer doesn't always have to be right, just happy. Often times that means he's right, but it doesn't necessary mean so.

Given the humorless approach other regs have been taking to the lounge as of late, it would appear that you and I (maybe perhaps even Seven) are the only ones to show interest in sex with this woman. So how about we do the logical thing and just set up separate days? That way NOBODY gets sloppy seconds. :-D

IT has now been raining for 5 straight days.
Every day they say it's going to be sunny, with cloudy periods tomorrow temperatures of 18-20 degrees...The next day dawns cloudy, gloomy & cold & fucking wet !

I want to try a desert climate for a bit...10 or 20 years.
I wonder what its like to wake up everyday & be able to see the sun ?
Heaven must be like that !

This time next week I'll be out West for 4 days...I'm going to pack my winter clothes, no sense freezing to death .
