I just ordered $70 worth of flower seeds for my butterfly garden. I may be a teensy bit obsessed with my yard.

But...I thought Seven was having twin velociraptors?

That would be awesome. She'd be pushing the stroller down the street and you'd get the little old lady leaning over all "Oh how cute--" and one would jump up and tear right into her. XD

My girlfriend is applying to a job on an organic farm that starts when we move in together. Pay isn't great, but if she gets the job, we'll have free local organic seasonal produce, free-range eggs, fresh milk, etc.

Seriously hoping she gets that job, since I love to cook :o

I'm glad to hear it! If you're truly on the verge of starting a household of your own, congrats, good luck and more power to you and your girl. That really sounds like the next best thing (probably better) than having your own farm and subsistence food.

I'm frying up some range bacon from about a mile down the road, with darker-yolked, thicker-shelled eggs from the chickens at the same place. If I had some homemade bread to go with the homemade chokecherry jam, I'd really be in seventh heaven.... but I guess wheat toast will have to do.

Yeah, it´d be a great opportunity! My grandparents grow cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet peppers, and while they´re perhaps not COMPLETELY organic (fertilizer!), at least they avoid pesticides to as large an extent as possible (mites!). And I gotta say, it´s really convenient to just hop on the bike and go fetch some greenery when you need it. Especially those peppers, I´ve had a thing for sweet peppers for quite some time now.

Goes well with ANYTHING, sort of. Not all kinds of icecream, and not with cookies.

On a darker note:

Gameguard is giving me ulcers. A friend of mine wanted to play an MMO with me to have something to do, and I thought that was a great idea since I wanted some other occupation on my leisuretime besides lurking the BBS and eating snack foods. Well, a game called R.O.H.A.N.: Blood Feud is chosen. Seems deep and all, with lots of PvP action, buuuttt... It installs an antipiracy software called "Gameguard" that is a serious pain in the butt.

It basically acts like a rootkit, and guess what my trusty Avast thinks about that?

I'm about to start irritating people in PVP on City of Heroes, I've got a few characters I'm working on now that are designed to either take an unholy-hell beating, or dish one out.

I'm thinking about using this outfit on two different characters, though. This is on my character who weilds dual-blades in battle, but I think it would work equally well with my dual pistols character.

In R.O.H.A.N. I was thinking of either starting a Human Knight or an Elf Healer, the Knight would´ve made for an excellent tank and judging from the forums, so would the Healer. Confused? Character class tree. Healer can eventually promote into Templar if you want it to. And that class is exactly as badass as it sounds.

I have to agree, the semi-coloured hood would go well with just about any kind of duo-doing. Different coloured gloves?

Not particularly. There's a guy at work who plays D&D Online that I talk with frequently about online gaming, so I'm versed in things non-hero related. And we use similar terms between the two games to describe what's going on, that way the other is clued in.

My dual blades character is designed to tank, and dit can take one hellacious beating without getting so much as a ding in his health bar... I've got a bit of work to do on him yet, but it's very promising. My dual pistols character is designed to debuff or reduce the effectiveness of an enemy's armor, and then just lay into them with incendiary rounds which do damage per second of fire... but his defense isn't that great due to his archetype/class, so it's a tradeoff.

I have to agree, the semi-coloured hood would go well with just about any kind of duo-doing. Different coloured gloves?

I went with the Teen Titans outfit of Deathstroke/Slade instead of the traditional navy blue/orange outfit of Deathstroke, because once I got it done, it just looked cheesy to me.

What I would REALLY love to do is have a character who is fire themed, and have his fireballs colored white and green. Somebody in the game has figured out who to put a big stylized M on their chest, and I know I can rework that to make a decent Spawn character with flowing red cape and all.

But God knows I'm probably boring everyone else to tears with talk of online gaming, so I'll change subjects to something more inclusive.

It's my day off, and the weather is nice. I just got my car fixed (had to have a new starter put on) and I'm going to go cruise to town with the windows down to return the old for my core charge fee. 51 degrees outside and sunny, nice day out. :-D

All _I_ can think of when I hear that is FIRE LUIGI.

BEFORE WE LET THIS GO ENTIRELY:

VIT DEFENDER OR STR GUARDIAN? I guess I´ll just have to play both and find out for myself.

I´ll probably end up making a Hybrid of either class too at some point.

When I graduated me and a friend of mine went shopping for soda, and then spent considerable parts of the day cruising around at 15 KM/H to the signature theme of the Godfather. That was pretty awesome, I tell you what.

Dad owns a Cadillac -59. I wonder when he´ll fix it up so it´ll be driveable? I´m taking my drivers license right now, and while he probably won´t let me even LOOK at it with the car keys in my pocket, it would sure be fun to take it for a ride on a sunny summer day.

I had a laugh...
I'm falling for my friend and lover...

He sent me a Mix CD-- perhaps the most high schoolish sort of thing to do.

But he drew a covers too, and I just had a hoot.
I look funky, but-- I LOVE it too. The fact he knows that I'm a rose lover, and love roses of historic interest. (We were talking about a lost Welsh rose on Alcatraz Island, where he works at.)

The eyes, nose, ears are off-- but I still LOVE it.

And these sort of things make me realize that the most innocent of things are the most loveliest in the world.

Maybe I'm falling in love.
I think I must be. I'm writing poetry, and I usually hate writing poetry.

I think going with animated series DeathStroke was most likely the right call there Proteas...I thought most of these online games though had rules against creating trademarked or copyrighted characters?

I'm not sure what the rules are regarding that, because there's a LOT of stuff in the game that skirts the issue of copyright infringement yet is allowed anyway. We've got Wolverine styled hand claws available as an attack set, along with the ability to self-heal at accelerated speeds... there's a power-set available for sonic screams.... there's a singular attack available to higher level players that allows you to shoot laser beams from your eyes... the list just goes on and on.

I remember when shields came out as a defensive set, we had a fair number of Captain America impersonators. Really good ones, too.

The costumes I normally use are actually quite boring, because I have a hard time coming up with an original outfit that DOESN'T in some way rip off an established character. My dual pistol's character's main costume takes a sartorial cue from Eminem's "Mosh" video; combat boots, camo pants, and a black hoodie.

I have decided that I hate it when strangers put their face in my dog's face and make kissy noises at him. There are dogs that would rip your fucking face off if you did that - it's totally stupid to approach a strange dog that way. My dog is too nice to rip someone's face off. But it annoys me none the less.

So I have been teaching him that kissy noises means "Lick my face." I wasn't sure he was really getting it, but on Sunday we took him to a meeting of the rescue group and a lady was making kissy noises at him, and he gave her a big ole slurp.

It was awesome.

I love teaching my dog things like this. I'm such a bad person.

On a more positive note, the weather in Phoenix is beautiful. And it has been raining a lot here recently so the desert is ridiculously green right now, with the rusty mountains everywhere, wildfloowers all in bloom, and actual green on the ground, it's quite a sight to see. Once I get some of the pics onto my laptop I'll post a few.

Next week: San Diego!

Whee!!

So long as nothing interferes with Wrestlemania this weekend...

I actually took Sunday off to catch the show, something I haven't done in forever, it's actually nice to be jazzed up to watch a wrestling show.

I've got a rigging call for May 15th Seems WWE Smackdown (whatever the fuck that is) will be Live at the Halifax Metro Centre that night.

Backstage will be filled with steroid ( & surgically) enhanced men & women fo rall the screaming lunat...I mean screaming FANS !
THe last couple of shows I've done of these guy's usually fill the place.
Halifax seems to really like Wrestling shows & figure skating shows, who'da thunk 2 completely polar opposite (IMO) forms of entertainment would be so popular in the same place.

ME though...I'm pretty mercenary about it !
I'm in it for the money, I don't care if its Thomas the Tank Engine or Insert Trade Show here!
The rate we get paid is the same ~;)

I'm.... confused as all hell right now....

I was just watching the encore presentation of "Dancing with the Stars" when I noticed a familiar melody during Shanon Doherty's dancing of the Vienese Waltz or whatever the hell it was. I did a little researching, and the song was "The Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen, but the in house band did a bossa-nova cover of it...

What's even weirder was that the version of the song isn't credited to Echo and The Bunnymen on wikipedia, it's credited to Nouvelle Vague, a french band who specializes in doing bosanova covers of famous tunes...

So the house band did a cover of a cover?

More? You got any gaffer tape I can wrap my head with to keep it from exploding? I'm out of Duck Tape.

People really like the Sin City Scoundrels now, but I'm starting to have blisters all the time. I've got one the size of a dime on my right hand, and one the size of a cigarette cherry on the left. And to think, this is my easy POP band.

I may be joining Torn Apart soon... we'll see how that goes. I'm starting to have 2-3 gigs a week with the Scoundrels, so I may have to choose between them, something I don't want to do because Torn Apart is a nationally recognized band with music videos and shit, but Scoundrels has a pretty humongus mass appeal.

Harumph. I guess it could be worse. I could spend all my time posting shit on the internet....

Proteas, I've decided I want to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Are you close to that? and if so, would you be willing to walk like, maybe a mile of it or something?
