yeah, it's finally snowing here! It snowed in Houston, Texas before it snowed in New England this year, and I'm not kidding. Today has been the first real snow fall.
It was also my first day on the mountain since the spring. Good to be back. The mountain was supposed to open last weekend, but with warm weather and no natural snow, they couldn't even make snow, and only the top of the mountain opened this weekend. You have to take a lift up to the upper lift and when you want to get back down to the lodge you gotta take your skis/board off and take the lower lift back down to the bottom.

It STILL hasn't snowed here. it's snowing on the other side of the state, but here in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, the most we got is a few sleety bits a couple weeks ago. I don't expect it to last, because it's pretty damn cold now, but still... wtf.

IT rained Thursday, last night & today.
It is suppose to get colder here tonight, & we're expecting 15 cm of snow (about 6 inches ) along with possible freezing rain.
I've got a show loading in the Metro Centre Tomorrow at 8 am...so I'll have to get out of here by 6ish. Best part is they've got this stupid f'in snow fall rule where to make access for plows, we can't park on the street. But full size pick ups won't fit in any of the local parkades !
Winter & snow BLOWS !
Come on Global Warming...warm this place the fuck up !

I went and looked at that Mosin Nagant today. I don't know what kind of wood they make those out of, but it was an absolutely beautiful weapon. It was everything I could do to keep from cutting the guy a cheque right there on the spot for it.
Couldn't justify buying it right now with everything else going on.
Don't tell anyone, but I did manage to get one bit of Christmas shopping done today. I got my dad a small bottle of Blanton's Whiskey. It came highly reccomended from the guy at the liquor store, and was fairly pricey... so I hope I he likes it.

So I've got this assignment, since I passed my Management midterms with 9 and 8. If they're good enough (and my defense of it is also good enough), then no final for me!
Which will feel great AFTER I've written it and defended it. In the meantime, I've just covered 1/3 of it and I'm already in page 6 =(

I haven't had this issue since junior year of college. I absolutely do not want to do this assignment. I do not like it. Of course I'm going to do it because I don't want to flunk, but it is only slightly more entertaining than getting disemboweled by a shark. Thankfully this is the only required business-type class, because the trimester just started and I already dislike the material. How do you folks deal with not wanting to do an assignment?
As for the reading, I've read it already and don't like it, but I've taken down the pertinent notes, at least. I keep wondering if my buddy Jose Cuervo would make any of this more interesting.
Also, thanks to lake effect snow, what is normally a five-minute drive from the mall took 30.

Well, I ordered quesadillas with bacon and eggs, and had linden tea. I also had mate earlier this afternoon. But mostly I tried not to think about it, and do it naturally.

Now I want quesadillas. Now that I think of it though, food does sound good and I haven't eaten in awhile.
I went to the grocery store today and pretty much bought nothing but noodles. My cart was full of ramen and mac and cheese...with yogurt and a head of lettuce in there. I must not be in the mood to cook this week. Well, that and ramen is cheap. I have also wanted to eat mac and cheese for a while now.

My mom bought home made spaghetti (not the dry one) and it's ausom. Even with just ham and cheese I can't stop eating it. Plus, we have Quesabores, different kinds of cheese in threads.
And today my grandma made gnocci herself. Hmm

I left the house art 5:50 am...got to work at 7:47 am.
Usually in week day traffic ,its 45 minutes to an hour.Sunday you can do it in nice/clear weather in 30 minutes.
No snowplows or salt trucks were yet on the road !
So the problems on the highway were all about cars with "all season tires" they may be great tires for all seasons in any place south of Georgia !!!
But they really are not for around here, everytime I hit a straight stretch I passed the idiots doing 30kms on a 120 km series highway . but everywhere there were people driving in the middle of the double lanes of the damn road !
I need to try to get a law put in that you have to put winter tires on your car in the winter...similar to what Quebec has done.
It's now over & they're calling for some flurries throughout Nova Scotia. So now roads are plowed & traffic is back to normal.

I can be concise, but I don't wanna. Heck, the whole paper is summarized in the first paragraph. I have all this quotes that make the paper look professional. I also wrote linking this topics with other topics in the course, with bibliography that was more than secondary, proving that I read it and understood it.
So yeah, it is now "This is like that just because" and then at the end of the paper: go read this and that.

Once you've had to boil down a 30-page paper into a 1-page synopsis that covers EVERY major point, you no longer care about page guidelines.

Last night we had this maseuse dom russian chick show up. Burly lady. FUNK like.
She specialized in hand and wrist massage on drummers. I think I may have actually melted. She did this top of the forearm stretch, and I was all "ZOMFG!!!"

you know what I find weird?
Last year when I was in the Political Science degree (part of the social science department, sometimes called "Government studies" in other universities) it was a bachelor of arts.
This year, when I changed my major to Social Science with a contract option of History and Political Science (obviously still in the social science department) it is a bachelor of science degree.

Where I went, all you had to do to change your degree from a Bachelor of Arts to a Bachelor of Science degree was take a foreign language course. Aren't arbitrary changes fun?
