This happened literally next to my home...
Not my neighborhood, but in terms of proximity... from where I'm currently typing, it's just a few feet away.
I pass that spot all the time... and in the early mornings too (2 or 3 o'clock) if I'm coming back from my Isaias's place or my boyfriend's.
Personally, I've never felt creeped out, but I sorta do now.
This is happening with greater frequency these days because a lot of the important after school programs and activities have been cut off because of the economy.
*sigh*

I am boycotting the movie 2012 and I would like to see the rest of the world do the same (though I know I stand alone on this one). In 2012 they destroy a bunch of landmarks of all different religions and cultures. Even the vatican gets leveled. However, no Islamic landmarks are destroyed.
It's time to stand up to these PC assholes in hollywood and demand equal destruction. If they can destroy christian, buddhist, shintoist, etc structures, like the Vatican, then surely it wouldn't be a far stretch to bring Mecca to the ground.
the whole muslim appeasement deal pisses me off more and more on a daily basis.

I don't understand how the gangs can survive.
If the government is capable of introducing a security service out of nowhere to "chase down terrorists" & keep the 'Homeland' safe (ahhh, isn't that the FBI's job ??) why can't they create an anti gang police group & at the same time create anti gang legislation to combat it. Simple things like just being in an outlawed gang, 10 years hard time (make you work every day) if you commit any type of crime 20 years, you hurt or kill someone, execute their ass...& fast track it, 1 appeal, you lose you die the next day !
Only the very stupid will remain in a gang & you'll be rid of those tattooed fools in a year , 2 tops !

Oh, and apparently my dog DID in fact race, and won some races. They just reported his ear tattoo number incorrectly so he didn't show up in a search. Steve found his racing record and pedigree here, if you're curious.

No kidding. XD Only problem was I went over time, because I was trying to fit in stuff that just happened 24 hours prior, like the blackout and the deployment of the Army to the San Pedro Department.
Now I'm it Pittsburgh with my boyfriend, which is a nice change of pace. I only have Spanish left, so if I were in my apartment, I'd probably be playing videogames and occasionally studying for my Spanish final.
I was surprised to see a post from Sante. I thought of him not too long ago.
My only other worry now is that back tire. My car will be sitting by the curb until tomorrow, so I hope the pressure doesn't go down too much. The good news is there's a 20-degree difference between here and where I onormally park, so the presure will be higher.

I liked it when the congress of paraguay provided a tax cut on 4x4 imports. That was teh lulz considering they stole all the money that had to be used to relocate half of Encarnación for Yaciretá. Not surprisingly, half of the city flooded.
And then they go call Brazilians exploiters for paying little for the electricity they use from Itaipú. HELLO THEY BUILT IT, you only get electricity because half of the river is Paraguayan. Same with Bolivians and Petrobras. My uncle, who lives in the border with Paraguay, started watching Paraguayan media and comes with this exploitation tales. Annoying.

Lynne Koplitz made the joke once that she could never be a good parent, because she was not willing to make the sacrifices neccesary to be a good parent. Like.... "What? You need lunch money? Well I need lip gloss, sorry kid."
My niece and nephew, for whatever reason, like to get up and run around the house before dawn. I don't. I have a longstanding agreement with mornings... I don't like mornings and mornings don't like me... which is why I do my best to sleep through them if at all possible. So when my niece and nephew got up this morning to run around... I wanted to cry. Why? Because I worked the closing shift last night at work, I got home late... AND THESE KIDS HAVE BEEN DOING THIS EVERY MORNING FOR THE LAST MONTH!!!
How much benadryl in a glass of koolaid does it take to knock out a five year old? Anybody know? I figure it won't take much for the three year old, she's a lightweight, the five year old tends to be a little more resillient.
I can't wait for them to move out, I can't wait for them to move out...

Money's an issue for me, and I'm on good terms with my folks... so staying at home is the best option right now.
The current situation as it stands; my brother moved his girlfriend and her two kids into our (parents) house. So now there is our parents, him and her, the two kids, and me, all living in one house. Granted there is enough space here for all of us, but having two rambunctious kids under the age of 5 is a HUGE adjustment for me. But it's a bigger adjustment for my brother... he's legally adopting these kids as his own.
The three year old is easy to deal with. She's pretty much a daddy's girl, loves to cuddle, gets along well with others (although she can be a pest at times). The five year old -- as I previously mentioned -- is a problem child, who hasn't had a strong father figure in his life. He's into everything, a general pain in the ass, and today... well... let's just say that my brother and his girlfriend have grounded the kid for the foreseeable future, just got done having a nice long talk about establishing ground rules for good behavior, and pretty much have guaranteed to make the kid's life miserable if he keeps acting up.
Then there was the shitty night I had at work. Ever been so mad and frustrated about something your coworkers did that it was everything you could do not to cry? Yeah. That was my night. This job was pretty cool to start out, but now I'm thinking it's high time to take my plan forward and use this as proof of ability to hold down a full time job and go FIND another job.

Hey Der-Lowe, are you aggravated that on this Tropico you can't kill the tourists?
I am. My soldiers should be able to get anyone I sick them on.
Also, the AI fails. If I have condominiums set up with 0 for rent, why the hell are they still building shacks??????
