I looked for a few minutes, but that was all I was able to find was that green paper. It's getting to close to dinner for me to look anymore, and that bacon is making me hungry.
I've got a suggestion, though; you could make your own pattern in paint, and then have kinkos print out a full sized poster sheet of it.

I did that one time to make custom wrapping paper for a copy of Watchmen I was giving someone - made a collage from scenes in the book and then had it printed on a large sheet. Thankfully the clerk didn't realize she was reproducing copyrighted material...
He followed me home, can I keep him?

Dammit, I want a quesadilla. I was considering grabbing some Mexican for lunch today but ended up going for Chinese instead.
It's snowing here. All my life, I was never astonished with snow in October, but I lived in a warmer part of the country for a year and I guess I'm no longer used to it.

Went to a bar tonight for a radio stations second birthday, they had a band and had some contest.
I volunteered for the first contest, they got a couple and 5 guys to come up one stage. So the 6 guys had to line up and the gal had to put a blindfolded on and TOUCH EACH GUYS ASS. The DJ took her to each guy when they got to me there was a little hesitation after touching me once the DJ was like "want to touch that one again" and she did. After touching everyone else she had to obviously guess which one was her husband. She guessed me and touch my ass again. She wanted to take it back but the DJ said to late. Her husband was right next to me. Ironically the husband, the DJ and I had the same first name.

I hadn't slept for almost 50 hours until yesterday (midterms... new holiday job training.)
Yet, I've only slept for 7 hours... and I can't sleep anymore.
Essentially, I was drinking those 5 hour Energy drinks through out the day.
It's crazy... today, my only free day, and I didn't sleep in.
And my sister returned "Drag Me To Hell" this morning when I fell alseep watching it yesterday. Now I have to rent it again...
And, oi, the class I need to graduate for my theater and dramatic writing majors... won't be offered next semester. This is due to the budget cuts.

Fli, any chance you can take that course in the summer? I was always able to squeak in classes that way.
Snow today...and next week it'll be 60 degrees. This is crazy. My boyfriend will have an interesting drive here.

Sorry about the college, issues, fli. But I must leave since I want my sleep of death, to recover from the sleep deprivation that I am under during the week.

the nbc nightly news had a story last week about California budget cuts doing that, but also how it's happening all over the country.
Schools have all of these "required" courses for majors and then they would cut the course from their schedule, or in the middle of a school year decide they are only going to offer it in the Fall/Spring or every other Fall/Spring, while at the same time cutting the number of available seats in each class, making it near impossible for seniors and juniors to graduate in 4 years.
In fact, the news had an interesting statistic that the average time spent to get an undergraduate degree is 5 and a half years! for a for a 4 year degree!
I know you're a non-traditional student, fli, but I get where you're coming from.
Sometimes I get the feeling that universities totally miss the point that they are supposed to be a business.
I could rant on about how difficult it is to graduate on time, especially when schools set "full time" status as 12 credits when in reality to achieve the 120 or so required for graduation, a student would need to take 15 credits, or they do like my school and require 122 credits, and set "overload" at 17 credits, neither of which are divisible by the typical 3 credits a college course is good for. I'm 1 credit in overload this semester, because they set their requirement at 17, how retarded is that? I'm out an extra $900 for a class that would otherwise be 2/3 covered by what I already paid.
Other things like graduation fees, and 90 credit requirements by the fall semester to even ask to walk in the spring commencement.
And god help you if you change your major or transfer.
And they make it a pain in the ass for part-time students. You aren't eligible for almost anything as far as scholarships, grants, housing, and parking. You are charged per credit, which could wind up being as much as full-time tuition, all because you have a full time job, and to top it off, you're in school for 6 or 7 years instead of 4 or 5.
NYS is probably the most concerning system at the moment. Not only did they raise tuition, but they cut programs and funding and those tuition increases? went to the general fund in the state budget. You are supposed to be paying for your education with that money, that's the point of paying a tuition to the school.
Schools charge upwards of twice their tuition to any student from out of the state (average of $21,000 a year), and have residency requirements well beyond reasonable to change status, which means you could move to the state, declare a primary domicile, pay state taxes, car registration, PO box, vote, etc... and for 4 years will not be considered "in-state" because you were arrogant enough to start school that same year as a full-time student to finish your degree in a timely manner.

A quesadilla is kind of like a fried taco made with a flour torilla and lots of cheese. I like some diced onions, green pepper, and chicken on mine. Although there was this time where I made one just using pepperoni and american cheese, then baked it.
mmmm... pepperoni....
I just had a ham, pepperoni, and American cheese sandwich on white. It was FUCKING DELICIOUS.

I think I know what chainmail patterns I'm going to make for my sisters and mother this year for Christmas. Either a scherzo or rhinos snorting drano chain with one of the following pendants on it. These patterns are pretty easy from the looks of it.

Pepperoni sounds so delicious, but I'm on a diet. A month and a half of leave + Doctor's orders to take easy + all the food I couldn't have in the desert = a little fatter Mason

Everything is good in moderation, man. :-)
I've got just a small bag of the sliced pepperoni hid in the fridge right now. I can't go to a grocery store deli and buy it by the pound because my brother will inhale it.
You make those? They're awesome.
I haven't tried to make the pendants yet, but I have made a few chains. I've got a picture of a bracelet I'm working on for my sister in law on the previous page, then there's a pic of a persian pattern necklace here and a round maile necklace here.
I was going to make gifts like that for Christmas, but the time and effort going into those is ridiculous. I think I've spent all of about 3 or 4 hours a piece on each of these bracelets (the first one probably an hour), and it's extremely tedious, which is why I'm going with a more simple pattern for the gifts I'm going to do. ;-D

Things wouldn't feel so terrible if I could find a job.
I mean, I got a few jobs... but I'm talking the boring 8 to 5.
Without school, what else am I going to do with my time?
Twitter thumbs?
I got an English degree, but so does everyone else in California.
I thinking of applying for a Masters if I can't get the second BA.
At least it will keep me moving.
Oh wells...
Things were worse in the Depression.
Actually, I found an essay I wrote back in 1996 and I interviewed my adoptive grandma for it about her experience during the Great Depression.
I'm in the process of editing it (God, I'm embarrassed how I used to write...) and posting it up on my blog.
I'm very glad that I've kept that essay, and I was lucky that too.
It's on a 3.5 floppy disk, and I hardly see a computer with a 3.5 floppy disk drive anymore.
