i'm not criticizing your effort, just the reasoning behind the response. sure its hard and takes a lot of practise to do something awesome but criticizing the outcome according to what one perceives as entertaining and appealing is irrelevant to the amount of work necessary to make something. obviously knowing the medium gives you a certain appreciation for what was done but the end result is the end result.
not that the people you were responding to deserved anything more than a swift-kick to the rear.
...which i gave out covertly in the form of clicking the "abusive review" button.

I also propose another wonderful edible delight: MANJU.
Another thing to thank the Japanese for.....
It's a Japanese pastry that's like a donut. It's a fried outside with a bean curd inside.
Think donuts.

I had to google monkey bread...
looks good. Never had a piece, but if it's similar to coffee cake... then I'm probably not missing out.

I'd just like to say that at first glance, with only the top half of that monkey bread picture on my screen, I thought it was something VERY different and far less appetizing. I am currently relived and now hungry... again.

Also, Sol... I think I found a new quote for your page... check out the end of the ID is incomplete thread and take a gander at GNE's last couple posts... absolutely mind-boggling.

I thought it was "If it looks good, smells good, tastes good, you're screwed."
ANYWAYS
Coffee cake doesn't always comes out dry. You may just be using a bad recipe, because the recipe I use typically makes the coffee cake, well, cake-like.

I can eat regular ice cream, although I don't eat so much of it that it upsets me. I even had some yesterday at Coldstone, but the smallest size. And I can eat cheese, although no so much as the creamy ones like Brie (but it maybe because it's too rich.) The dry types like Coteja and Parmesan is okay. And yogurt is safe for all lactose intolerant people, and good for your intestines.
Do you have any Native American blood in you?
I've heard it's pretty rare for White people to be lactose intolerant.
Neither of my parents or sisters are lactose intolerant, but both my grandmothers were extremely lactose intolerant, and my uncle.
Truth is...
I've pretty much stopped drinking milk. It was difficult because my breakfast used to be cereal and milk. Now it's oatmeal and plain water with some kind of berries.
Pretty bland, but I got used to it.
although, I still feel I got the genetic short end of the stick.

lactose intolerance...

You're lucky. I've got a mold allergy, which further complicates my lactose intolerance. I can eat American Cheese in small amounts, all the Provolone I want... but Marble Jack, milk, and real ice cream absolutely kill me.

There's some Melungeon in my family tree, but beyond that... I honestly don't know.

That's one thing I've always wondered about these "oatmeal lowers cholesterol" commercials you see on tv; do they mean for you to eat the stuff plain?
I can see eating plain oats, if they're mixed in with something or just by the handful as a snack. With water and nothin' else? BLEGH.

The "related" part was a joke, but it refers to the Air France flight that disappeared earlier this year, using the net code for "Page not found". 404 Plane not found.

A thought occurs:
Queen Elizabeth II is technically the monarch and head of state in Canada, and most Canadians are totally fine with this, since it has no effect, and because we like the Queen.
However, I get the feeling that this tone of acceptance is unlikely to follow through to Prince Charles.

I read somewhere that you stay away from the softer cheeses & go with the hard ones. Also I have found lactose free Havarti in the local store for my girlfriend who has lactose intolerence. She has no problem with old cheddar & can eat some mozarella, she also has no problem with any of the types of goat cheese we've tried.

Now, I must admit I am a bit slow to comment on the whole Japanese thing here, but bear with me here.
Speaking of Japanese, has anyone here ever had the guts to watch Philosophy of a knife? I looked it up, and it doesn´t seem THAT bad, but my friend actually DARED me to watch it, so there´s gotta be something in there that I fear I will not particularly like. When I asked him what the film was about he was like "Mufufufufufufufu" and gave me a scary grin. So. First-hand experiences, anyone?
Also. All psychologists share a different view of the human mind, but they all agree on one thing: it´s important to create an identity for yourself. Really, you´re much better off with one than without one. But I have found out something mildly disturbing to my person. I am, as a matter of fact, a highly effective disinfectant! And to think that all this time, I thought I was something else altogether!

I just read the wikipedia entry for Unit 731. Long story short; it was the Japanese Imperial Army's equivalent to Germany's human experimentation unit at Auchwitz/Berkenau headed up by Josef Mengele. The movie itself mixes archival footage, interviews, and graphic reeanctments of shit that went on there.
eFukt.com has a clip of the movie, if you're interested. I'm not going to link to it (because eFukt.com has a lot of porn adds on it), or describe what goes on in the video... but I'll tell you the title of the clip and let you draw your own conclusions; Death by vaginal cockroach.
