modified soccer?

same thing as Junior Varsity(JV) I suppose. I think it's a little more lax on competition and you can start in 7th grade and there aren't any try outs. My school didn't have try outs anyway, but sometimes we'd have a JV basketball team because you can't play modified after 8th grade, and you can be on JV, so if they didn't have enough people interested in modified basketball one year, they'll drop the 9th graders who wanted to play varsity down to JV so there would still be a team for the younger athletes.

Okay, so I got my financial aid letter today. Apparently the amounts are not final unless eligibility is determined and you register for classes. WTF? I thought both already happened! I know I'm registered for classes since I have a copy of my schedule, and I thought the long wait was them determining eligibility.

Yes, I'm clueless about how this all works.

Maybe you didn't play with a Teddy Ruxpin, but not completly out of the reference of 80s and early 90s things...

But they'll probably care when Sway dies, I can tell you that right now.

I was surprised to hear that Kronkite was still alive, to be honest.

I have Lemon Bars and the Marx Brothers on DVD.

You can crash at my place. You just need to put up with the dance music.

I never had a Teddy Ruxpin.

I never had shit for toys.

Once, me and my brother had to borrow and axe to cut down tree branches to play with.

I was very, VERY, poor.

You know, we're similar. Very poor. Teddy Ruxpin was my only toy, and the Nintendo was my dad's friend who let us borrow it for a while before he took it back.

Otherwise, Teddy Ruxpin was my only store bought toy. And my sister, she had a lot of second hand Barbies and legos.

But we made up our own toys. I think one summer, I did the most disgusting thing and collected EVERY popsicle stick I found around the neighborhood, washed them, and played them in a way similar to pogs.

A lot of kids break their toys as soon they get them, and abandon them.
My Teddy Ruxpin doesn't work, but I never got tired of him. I think I keep him to remind me how much my parents loved me because those things were very expensive back in the days, and to spend on a frivolous luxury like this was probably a big sacrifice for them.

I wonder if I can fix it up and make it working? I could probably find the old cassette tapes and books online if I looked really hard...

I think if I would go back in time, I'd live in the 20's.

Probably be a PI too. Back when men were men, meaning they were chain smoking, gun trotting alcoholics.

Yep, sounds about right.

So yeah, on Friday caught a train to see my Girlfriend. Met her parents. had dinner with them. Sarurday her parents leave for a few days giving us a few days alone. Yay for romantic oppirtunities etc etc. Except no.

Today after we spent some time in town, where I thought she was acting a bit odd but just thought I was being paranoid, she dumped me.

I travelled for 3 hours on a train to get dumped....

life sucks :(

that's annoying man.

who brings home a boy and then breaks up with him? Hey mom and dad, meet my boyfriend, oh yeah, by the way, I'm going to break up with him so don't get too attached.

Not even a phone call before you jumped on the train?

Maybe she had to break up with you because her parents don't approve, and the reason she's doing it now is so that she can tell them she broke up with them, but in reality she oh-so-secretly wants you because that would be rebelling from her authoritarian parents who don't know what real love is! You're like that sketchy guy that she secretly dates fearing the night when daddy finds out.

Hey everyone. I used to post on this website all the time about 5 years ago. My SN was AwkwardSilence (or a variation thereof). I'm pretty sure the account is gone by now. Anyways. I'm back and I just wanted to say its kinda cool seeing many of the same people that I used to talk with back in the day ( Proteas, aviewaskew, I'm looking at you guys.)

The name sounds familiar, the account is still up, but... I'm drawing a blank.

Don't feel bad, though. It's been a WEIRD four years.

Cheers folks.

Am back in Birmingham now. Despite it all, I think me and her are going to stay friends. Her reasons or doing what she did and the way she did are have been made somewhat clear to me. Can't say I'm happy, but hey, life goes on. Her loss.

So yeah in other news:
