There was no runpee time during Star Trek either.

Yes there is. The outer space part when they first go to Vulcan, or when Kirk's on the ice planet.

And then by the end of the movie you have to go so bad it's become part of your personality. We've all been there.

Yup... no runpee time on Terminator Salvation.
I had to get up with the awsome giant robot scene and missed the end... all because I was about to explode.

Gah--
The bodybuilder with the CGI face of Arnold Schwarzennager... that was so grotesque. They should had found somebody with the proportions of Arnold instead of finding some big ol' mofu.

I mean, that's what made Arnold famous... being big yet proportioned.
The actor was just... big... and fluffy looking.

That's why I wait until the movie comes out on DVD, so I can just hit "pause," get up, and go to the bathroom without missing the good parts. I don't have to pay $8 for a ticket, or exorbitant prices at the concession stands.

And I hate to let you down, avie, but no... the similarities between The Hulk and Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hide never crossed my mind. I am sorry. :-(

======

My mother is PISSED right now, and for once in recent memory, me and my dad are just thankful that it wasn't something that we did.

Long story short; my mom and dad came home today after going out antiquing, my mom had her antique in hand as she was opening the door to come inside the house, when the dauschdunds we have ran around and between her legs and caused her to stumble, bumping the antique against the door frame.

The antique; one of these. She has one already, but she wanted to sell the one she bought today on eBay and make some cash (their appraised value is supposed to be considerably much more than that). But now that her plat has a nice big chip missing out of it... one that mainly affected the paint on the plate... it can't be fixed, and the value is considerably less.

So yeah... the dogs are in doggy time-out right now. We've been trying to break them of the habit of running around people's feet, and they know they did something wrong.

Okay... pissed off family members and small dogs.... scratch that off the "cool things to discuss" list.

*scratch scratch*

Tie in of two subjects; movies made from non-video entertainment forms AND firearms. Or in other words, has anybody seen the Taurus Judge revolver? A revolver that is chambered to fire both the .45 S&W round AND a .410 shotgun shell, and was famously used in Mark Wahlberg's "Max Payne." My brother wants one for the simple fact that it was in that movie.

The problem; the 410 shell is longer than the .45, so it presents an accuracy issue because the bullet is fired then it goes through the barrel, thus reducing accuracy.

Notice my solution to this problem as mentioned on that page.

Am I the only one who's brain works that way?

I had such a work out...
I'm so weak right now. I remember I could run on the treadmill for an hour without feeling tired, and then do some dumbbell work outs.

But I couldn't hit the weights after that...

You forgot, being able to pause & make a drink, or get a snack & my favorite...WHOA LOOK AT THAT ! ! ! Go back & play it again ! ! !
Not too mention no morons to deal with, no crowds, no screaming babies, no cel phones going off, just you, possibly someone you care about, your 60 in. flatscreen & wireless surround sound system, a nice fire going in the fireplace :) and in my case no 40 kilometer drive to & another 40 clicks back from the nearest theatre !

Who'd have thought life in North Korea was so much better than in America? This objective documentary captures neutrally the essential and fair representation of both countries. Korea has picnics and water parks, Amerikkka has riots and Nazis.

This is so sad and grotesque I shouldn't even laugh at it. But that only makes it even funnier.

Hey Proteas, are you still thinking about making your own forge? I recently remembered how my own rebar-machete came into being, and the design for the makeshift furnace that constituted it´s cradle could be something you might want to consider adapting to your own needs...

Oh, and another question, exactly how many of you mods regularly visit and post in politics? Out of the whole mod-chunk, it only seems like Malachy, Tri-Nitro-Toluene, Sevenseize, Aviewaskewed and StephanosGnomon seem to be "guarding" this place and appearing in threads with regular intervals. How come?

I already bragged in my userpage blog. I need to finish up some essays and do a timed essay tomorrow morning for my credit-by-exam.

as far as I remember, we were all regulars in Politics before being modded so naturally we would still frequent the forum afterward as well. In fact, I went from being a mole here in Politics to becoming active in other forums like Where is/How to? and even General (gasp)

I see dirtysyko pop by on occasion, evark posts once in a while, and poxpower is around quite a bit. Funk of course was left off your list.

They were regular users of this side of the forum before they became mods... it seems that the path of becoming a mod often starts out in Politics.

seems that way doesn't it? but that is easily explained by the FAQ when it says

Q: How does one become a moderator?

A: Do not ask to be a mod! Users who are model poster, act mature, and help point out problems to the current moderators if they appear to have overlooked something (without being annoying about it) are invited to become mods themselves. If we decide we need more moderators, this type of consistent, helpful user will be more likely to receive an invitation.

it just so happens that people who make thought-out and well mannered posts are the ones who will frequent Politics, and not that simply posting in politics is what will get you noticed. Other forums where these types of people frequent may be Where is/How to?, Flash, Programming, and Clubs & Crews where people are more interested in conversation than the "lulz".

Not at the moment, no. My dad recently took a job that has him running long-hauls, and he's not around near as much... so days where we both have the day off from work to construct such things are fewer, now. :-(

Most of my knowledge of hand-tools and the like is limited to woodworking, he's the one that has all the metal-working knowledge.
