I've got you all beat; my dad has a smoker in the back yard, and he's smoking two pork shoulders (a.k.a.; boston butt) and a whole fryer chicken over a recently felled hickory branch, the meat having been seasoned and marinated with Paul Prudome's BBQ Magic.
I'm on countdown until dinner.
Also; my mom recently gave me a magazine Skunky and More may mug me over. Page after page of nothing but mixed drink and shooter recipes, with alcohol ads like this and this.
Here's one shooter I just want to pay somebody to see them drink it...
"Hot Houdini"
3 drops Tabasco Sauce
2 oz. Fernet Branca

Absolutely...my girlfriends a bartender ( I think I've posted that at least once lol) & she cringes everytime I make a martini, because I use a mason jar. drop in a large handful of crushed ice, in goes the vermouth ( I like Noilly Prat ) a couple of ounces of triple distilled vodka & shake the shit out of it ( or until most of the ice melts) drop in a couple of Extra Huge Olives & 'life is good' ! ! !
He's been waiting for this so long I'm pretty sure he's moved beyond both shaken and stirred and gone somewhere in the neighborhood of awkward spirals set to demonic laughter.
Actually I had a martini & went to the pub for an order of chicken wings & a couple of draft beer.
I'm going to be good tonight I gotta de-rig the show I put in Friday night at 11 am tomorrow in Halifax.
Skunky...I have noticed none of the Storm Troopers are eating !
So there's no way to eat & drink in those helmits ? ( this is just a guess)

I've had Galliano in mixed drinks before , MArtini Rossi's sweet vermouth is ok, but I perfer dryer martini's. Disaronno Ameretto mixed with vodka ,was called 'panty remover' when I was in High school ! ( that should be self explainitory)

They take off their buckets to eat - at a lot of the parties and such we get the pictures out of the way and then everyone takes off his or her helmet for foodstuffs and beveraging. There's also one of Steve in his biker scout begging at the keg and a TK telling him he's been cut off.
We went to Free Comic Book Day today and there was a VERY short Vader trooping at the store. Usually around here it's our buddy Tank, and he fills the costume out a lot better. One of the stormtroopers out today was actually a girl we know, but she had to walk up, take her helmet off, and say hi before I had any idea.
I thought about breaking out a costume, but we slept in this morning and it would have been pretty rushed. Plus the gloves and mask from my Speedy costume have vanished, and that's the one I'd wanted to do, since I've gotten so little wear out of it.
He followed me home, can I keep him?

Ewww....
I've never been the type to drink straight alcohol, much less the way some of these shooters and mixed drinks call for them to be done. I'm just a wimp that way. I'm really curious to try Absinthe, though, for the simple fact that supposedly after the water and sugar cube process, it dulls the taste alcohol enough to the point where you

I think you're missing the point of the joke; Fernet Branca is like the Italian equivalent of Jagermeister, but with a less of a sweet and more of a mouthwash taste to it (so I've been told). So that, plus Tabasco sauce... and thus the reason why I'd pay to see somebody drink that.

I've got a friend who makes chocolate martini's.
He uses dark chocolate liquour, or white chocolate liquor something else (he won't say) ice & a quality Vodka.
The damn things taste like a candy...a delicious smooth creamy chocolate candy but your putting 2+ shots of vodka & a shot of liquour in each glass...after 4 of those your starting to feel it & the party's only 30 minutes old ! ! !
His wife has banned him from making them until near the 'end' of their parties.
I just got in from de-rigging my show & I'm having a beer & going to put the ribs on low heat.

It still works. It's not like there's an expert on Medieval mythology on here.

Ponce de Leon was born in the 1470s and died in 1521, cementing his notable activities firmly in the Early Modern Period and not the Medieval Period. I suppose you could say that his youth was during the Late Middle Ages, but by the time he died Europe had definitely shifted into the early part of the Renaissance.
And yes, we do have some medieval mythology experts here :D
Expert might be too strong a word, and the story of Ponce de Leon is history, not mythology, but all the same...

I have an interview for a grad assistant position tomorrow and HOLY CRAP I'M NERVOUS.
Then Tuesday, I'll be driving back to Ohio (back home in Pennsylvania now), and once I'm there, I suppose I can have a mini-Cinco de Mayo celebration. I have margarita mix and booze. Does that count? Because after 4 1/2 hours of driving, I'll be too tired to go party.

There's a lot of embellishment in the story-- some people suggested that actually found a fountain of youth in Florida.
Otherwise,
him stumbling around and finding the place. Well, that's true.

It goes in cycles, just the natural up and downswing of being a member of this forum.
--------
In a fit of pissed off energy last night, I started cleaning. I'm a bit of a packrat, so I've got stuff piled up here and there. But my mother has been making cracks ehre lately about needing a bulldozer to clean out my room, or hiring Merry Maids... yeah, my room is junked up, but it's not like I've got stacks of newspaper up to the ceiling.
What really did it for me was this small pile of junk they set in my room that they thought was mine, and it had crap in it that clearly wasn't mine and had other family member's names on it. Junk I don't use, have no purpose for using, and clearly isn't mine... and they just left it in my space. I just got out the trashcan that sets next to my desk and started slamming shit into it.
If I could just get my desk cleaned off and my clothes folded, it wouldn't look so bad. :-(

These are the times when we must stand most closly bound to the intellectual warmth of the lounge, only occasionally venturing out for hope of finding a non-lame beast from which we can draw sustinence.

Yeah, when it's something I desperately need/needed once upon a time. I found a book on good answers for job interviews while cleaning out a box from underneath my bed a few weeks ago, which I could have used a few years ago when I bought the damn thing.
I SUCK at job interviews. The only reason I have the job I do now is because my store manager has the same sense of humor I do.
SM; So, what's your idea of bad customer service?
Me; Ever seen the movie "Clerks?"
We both died laughing at that point. ;-D
