Well I guess I got pretty darn lucky. Lured Stamper to the bottom of the screen, started mangling him, and when the slower Jeff joined the fray he came just in time to help me keep build my combo meter - once Jeff was down, Stamper got up and vice versa. Dans high speed allows for some insane tricks to be pulled of.

Had a job interview today. I am trying to tell myself that if this doesn't happen it'll be okay, and I'll keep on keeping on, but I really want this to work out. Not to mention the FAT paycheck they're offering, way better than what I make now.

I told Steve if I get this job we are buying the 60" TV he's been drooling over.

Job interviews were never my thing, I usually tend to freeze up and get nervous during them. 'm just glad my store manager has a similar sense of humor and relaxed demeanor to my own, otherwise I would never have gotten my current job.

Question asked during the interview; "What's your idea of bad customer service?"
My Answer; "Ever seen 'Clerks?'"

We both laughed our asses off at that point.

I have a 24" TV I got from walmart, it's like a year and a half old and there's this strange green vertical line that only shows up occasionally on the left side.

My last TV had a little dial you had to turn to turn it on..but a digital display thing to change channels. Very classy

At 3/5/09 03:12 PM, Proteas wrote: I know this might be an Endless Crew topic, but... what are they doing to the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie?

I think it's become a test run for the next X-Men flick. Cram as many new mutants into it as possible and see which ones the audience reacts to the best and that's your X-Men 4 roster. Or it's that I heard the idea now is to do "solo" movies...but solo in that you're only going to have one member of the main cast (so in this case Jackman's Wolverine) and then you stick in a slew of other characters to be fought or potentially teamed up with. So it'd be like another X-Men team movie without calling it X-Men.

I was in Wal-Mart earlier and strolled through the toy asile, and they've already got action figures out for $8 a pop. I was looking through the to see all the different Wolverine variations they had, and I noticed a Deadpool Figure.

Man, it's not just this, you seen what they want for some of these Infinite Crisis inspired DC figures? Even the really tiny 4 inch kind of deals? It's like another 8 to 10. The bigger Infinite Crisis figures are like 13 (and truly, I believe those exist for the collectors market, can't see kids being able or really desirous to convince mom and dad they badly need a Hawkman figure). It's either inflation gone mad, or the it's the companies further taking themselves and their wares away from kids (which they swear up and down their trying to attract) and continually playing to established adult market. The really bad segments, of the established adult market.

What in the hell has Hollywood done?

What they always do: Screw creativity! Maximize them profits!!!

I support this. I'd support it further if he said "then video tape it and mail it out to the Reg's Lounge" he'd be the best human being ever (even though it appears he supports the "wrong" Green Lantern ;p).

Also if your job involves a poll and dancing, I'm also in favor of that. I kid I kid, unless that's really the job, then the support stands.

microwaving marshmallows is pretty neat. They get really huge and then when the microwave stops and you open the door they just turn into big flat marshmallow pancake. I did it all the time when I was a kid. I also stuffed a fork in a microwave once and busted the microwave. It was making flames and stuff. My parents weren't amused

man, all my school has is some old hidden tunnels under it and a skeleton they put in there to make sure local kids didn't hang around in the tunnels.

What's with colleges having tunnels anyway? They never let you use them >:(

Yeah, putting things in microwaves in general is just aesoem. The Physicists I was talking about found out that a microwave can cook about five eggs relatively securely. Any surplus chicken fetuses causes it to explode for some reason. They also managed to produce supercritical water from what I have heard. Neat stuff.

Oh, and I forgot to ad that these university bars are somewhat illegal. But every self-respecting academic discipline fraternity keep one somewhere anyways, just for fun. The police raid them regularly, but every year there are new students, eager to restart the illegal boozing.

Yeah, that sounds like the perfect place to accomodate a speakeasy. If I remember correctly, The Physicists had located their hidden water hole in the physics complex bomb shelter. Just about any place away from public view is a potential hidden bar.

But it confounds me too that there would be these cool tunnels under a building that noone would use. Sounds like some sort of scam to me, but I can´t figure out who would benefit from it.

Simple. Authorities who knew college students are going to drink can keep them contained without condoning anything.

I think I may have just screwed up, royally.

I had Mexican food for lunch (ground beef tacos with lettuce and cheese with a full side order of chips and salsa), and my mother brought home Chinese Food for dinner (general Tso's chicken and pork fried rice).

Am I going to die?

And if not, am I going to be in a lot of weeping agony in the morning?

Well, the last time I screwed up this badly, it was Taco Bell and chinese food. And yes, I did want to die the next morning.

However, seeing as how I can't really remember the last time I had an upset stomach the morning after on sit-down-restaurant-style Mexican food (which this was), I'm not so sure what will happen.
