Hey, that's just good family entertainment right there!

Not only is it entertaining, it's evolution in action.

I haven't been home for the majority of the past few days(work and Girlfriend). My Dad just came in and told me "Mail came for you on Friday, but I forgot about it" and then he gave me my mail. I usually wouldn't care about mail for me, but this was great/awful news.

I got an acceptance letter from Johnson & Wales Charlotte campus. I was accepted into the "AS Culinary Arts Honors Program", which was something I really, really wanted to get into. This completely surprised me, because when I applied for the school (march, 2008) the rep. told me I wouldn't get accepted because I had yet to take the SAT. Apparently, when I took the SAT (in may) my scores got sent to the school, which then decided that I was eligible for enrollment.

But here's where it gets fun.

I enlisted in the United States Army back in June. I finished all my necessary paperwork back in September, and I pretty much finalized everything else I needed to do. Basically, there's no turning back now.

I called my recruiter, and he told me it would be almost difficult for me to attend college and do my training/job (Gulf 92, or cook) at the same time.

So, I have to call the admissions office tomorrow and find out if the school can delay my enrollment 'till the 2013 school year.

God, I'm gonna be so pissed at myself if the school can't/won't delay my enrollment, or I can't attend while in the army.

some places will allow you to defer for up to 1 full year and hold your spot for that time, and after that just re-admit you through the same process. usually getting into a school after high school (like say, transferring or getting out of the military/continuing ed) is much easier.

I have a friend who was in college and joined the army and was deployed and the college held onto all his scholarships etc. Call that admissions office first thing, it's going to work out.

They don't have a mood happy enough for how ecstatic I am right now.

I just got of the phone with Johnson & Wales college. The school is willing to delay my entrance(without needing to reapply) for up to 5 years, by which time I'll be done with the army.

The best thing though is that when I attend in 5 years, I will receive the amount of aid that I would have if I attended now. I'm only going to end up paying $60,000+ instead of $140,000+

My sign on bonus (for the army) alone covers 1/2 the cost, so I'll have plenty of money left after school.

I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!! :-D

I went to work today, was there for all of... 40 minutes... and left. I felt like I was going to fall out in the floor from nausea and start throwing up.

I drove down the road a piece, and went to my doctor. It turns out, I have fluid build-up in my ears. A repeat of the double ear infection I had some six months ago. They gave me an antibiotic shot, heavy duty antibiotic for two weeks, and ten days of heavy decongestants, an excuse off from work, and 6 months of refills on my ocd meds.

So... yeah... I'm a REAL happy camper right now.

I'm back...
Las Vegas was boring, I don't gamble that's why... and the Fruit Loop area leaves much to be desired (as always.)

The family is gone, and I'm having trouble adjusting to the low volume of people in this house. Too quiet now.

I submitted two other stories to be considered for publication today-- I wrote them at Hawk's Gym (gay bath house) with Isaias and Leo.

One story is about a beauty queen who loses half her face and then works in a mortuary... she falls in love with a blind gardener. She goes insane and, in my older version, carves a dildo from the blind gardener's femur so she could always feel beautiful.

Effing gruesome, but I barely read "Guts" by Chuck Palenhuik, and I wanted something that could make people faint. I don't think I succeeded.

In the second story, I wrote a story about a pedophile who finds an abandoned baby, and decides to raise it as his own. He a tormented character, but when his son is abducted by another pedophile... he goes his son while remembering the past and working with a female detective who is struggling with depression after her rape. They save the man's adopted son.

The second story is amazing to me, it's amazing what you can write. I think, of the two, this one has the most potential for publication.

I'm still waiting on others, soooooo.... who knows. No luck so far, but I'm working on my talent.

I'm working on a new story about a woman who wants a baby so badly that she chops off her abusive husband's arms and legs just so he could be like a baby. She takes him on strolls in a baby carriage. I'm not sure how this one will end, but--

doesn't that paint such a picture in your mind???

Anyways...
happy belated New year...

I may not return for a while, I've caught something and I've been sleeping a lot. Today I feel better, but it's going to take a few days. Just wanted to drop by and say I'm all right...

So, apparently in Michigan leases "Rent must be turned in on the first of the month" doesn't actually mean what it says.
