Do we all have to do new introductions again? Crap.

Hello. I love to talk endlessly, make one liners, use sunglasses as a prop for making points, and have an obsession with suits, overcoats/trench coats and CSI Miami.

That is all.

While we're rattling off personal problems or ragging on those of others, I would like to note that I enjoy the fact that my job involves cutting people open.

I would also like to note that I am completely desensitized to blood, that I enjoy working out five times a week, and that I collect guns.

Does that make me a secret psycho?

It seems it... But I cut people open to help them... And that is what desensitized me. Other than that, I'm just a guy who works out and collects guns, probably because of growing up in a military town.

Now you, you're just a psycho case.

But I still love you.

We've found a new way to hate 2012 - the money usually spent salting and gritting the roads in case of heavy snow and ice has been diverted to paying to paying for the Olympics.

So, when the heaviest snowfall in nearly 20 years hit the UK on Sunday night and into Monday, the roads were up to a foot deep, and many have yet to be cleared almost a week later, with several placed becoming cut off as a result.

We had a foot of snow the other night...in about a 10-12 hour period. Main roads didn't shut down.
Mess was cleared up by lunchtime the next morning, we've had freezing rain twice since then, getting hit again last night & expecting snow this afternoon & this evening.... then above freezing & rain on Sunday...then freezing & snow possible on Monday.
That's pretty normal for this time of year...and we're better prepared than you are.
But it really doesn't make it any better a place to live in these types of conditions.

So D2K, what do you think of getting hit with some real winter weather?
Anyone in Government or Media "yelling" about the 'Global Warming' catastrophic problem lately ?
Oh yeah... Are 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicles common in the UK ?

Bite me, canucklehead. I laugh at your misery as I enjoy 54 degree fahrenheight weather this week.

Granted, I might freeze my nutts off next week, but I'm going to enjoy this weather whilst I can.

I think I'm going to have to turn in my Southern Membership card here shortly. I bought a Mr. Coffee Ice Tea maker we had on clearance at work the other day, and... it makes a better glass of sweet tea than I can, and sweet tea making is imprinted in my genes.

Take the PSAT scores with a grain of salt. I did horribly on the PSAT, but then I took the SAT and got a 1250. I did better on the ACT, though, since math is my horrible subject and the ACT focuses on my strengths (English, writing, stuff like that) and not my weaknesses.

Governor Strickland now wants to get rid of Ohio's high school exit exam and make the ACT mandatory instead. My question is, will students have to pay to take the ACT? I like the idea, though.

it's to prepare you... that's all.
Some people goof up on the first attempt, and do better on the next now they have a good clue of things. That said--

Why not?

I don't even remember my scores. From what i remember-- I did exceptionally well on the vocab, not too shabby for the written, and horrendous on the math.

But with the vocab, all you have to do is apply your knowledge of foreign language... and take good guesses of cognate words.

RUBBING SUCCESS IN OTHER PEOPLE'S FACES IS FUN!

Oh yeah.

So every year my firm offers a promotion based off the last year's performance. I was not eligible last year because I hadn't been working there long enough. So this year comes around and I'm the leading candidate based off the office's pool.

Ok, so that's cool.

Now, last year I had a beef with another guy in the firm. Fortunately, he didn't get it last year because he performance was terrible. So, as the year grow on, I give the guy another chance. Maybe we started off on the wrong foot. Whatever.

So, the time rolls around again. Around this time the guy starts acting like a jerk again, claiming victories when not needed, telling how he was taught but some great guy and how he teaches other people yet for some strange reach when he's at the plate he can't deliver. The majority of the office hates him, no surprise there. Hell, even on of the bosses even does like him.

I get the promotion, no surprise. So the guy's acting like a bigger asshole, because he doesn't get it. So in a meeting, he tells me to do something ridiculous as a joke. SO as a joke back, I reply "Why should I trust a guy who's record is terrible?"

Apparently that tipped him over. He says "Say that again". So I repeat it, and walk out.

NEXT DAY:

So I'm in my office the next day and the guy comes in. "Say what you said yesterday again" and I do.

The guy erupts. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU'RE JUST A SNOBBY KID YOU THINK YOU'RE SO GREAT HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THE PROMOTION YOU THINK YOU'RE ALL THAT YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED YOU SHOULD BE HIGHER AFTER WORKING 1 YEAR BLAH BLAH BLAH etc."

"Who do you think YOU are?" I retort. "I only need to say 1 word: Performance. You've been working here longer than I have and you feel threaten by a youngster like me? Anyways, what are you going to do about it."

"I'm going to kick your ass" (LOL, yeah right.)

He yells so loud several bosses come in and ask what's going on. Surprisingly, he doesn't get fired.

TL;DR: Promotion=rubbing success in another persons face.

I have all the Vegas and Miami games and those were great.

This one has horrible graphics and lame puzzles. Don't waste your money.

Heh, I've been playing Sid Meier's Pirates! recently, and it's ausom; I'm about to finish it.
I have a Frigate, all the specialists available, 9/9 secret treasures found 8/9 pirates defeated (only Morgan left), I am a Duke for the Dutch, and high rank positions in the other nations, and I JUST FOUND MY ARCHRIVAL SECRET BASE AND OMG I DUELED HIM AND WON AND GOT 100.000 PIECES OF GOLD.
So my crew is pretty happy now.

Now, I am going to find my last lost relative (grandfather), find the city of the Incas, and retire.
