We had that as a cassette tape years ago.
Was that the one that had "Chocolate Cake " on it as well ?
That has to be one of my favorite skits & one I've practised with my kids. There's nothing that hypes a child up more than a big piece of chocolate cake...for breakfast :)

Well look at the ingredients. There's eggs, and milk, health food. Just be careful they don't sell you out.

I hated NHS. Nothing about it appealed to me.
Come to think of it, I hated all the school clubs with the exception of chess, because it's the greatest game man ever made. Don't get me wrong, I was (and still am) fairly athletic. I'm pretty introverted, so I stuck to chess, singles tennis, and a little bit of wrestling.

Actually my ex & I got into it one day about that.
I said that it was probabl better for them to have a big ole piece of cake, instead of a bowl of sugar bombs...which is like the biggest ingredient in those 'frosted, sugared' cereals for kid's.
After all she had made the cake & I had bought a big tub of a whipped chocolate frosting. The kids also had milk & a piece of fruit...now that ,IMO, is better for them than just a bowl of sugar bombs !
I am also the one who hits the soft serve ice cream shop(s) whenever we go out for a drive/trip/etc.

in my school you were allowed in just for having a high GPA. Some kids didn't do it. I don't think i was at all hindered by not being a member of Key club or Varsity club or Yearbook Committee. I was hindered mostly by my poor GPA.
although, unlike most kids, I had a lot more opportunities and a pretty full resume for my college applications. 3 varsity sports a year, participating in an indoor soccer league outside of school, a job on the weekends and a summer job both working with kids, the summer one with at risk kids for the most part, participating in school plays and the forensics team (acting compititions...sort of like the other side of speech and debate team where you go to the same compititions, but instead of competing in debate, you compete in 2 person acting skits or dramatic interpretations or original speeches.)
If anything, I would rather gain honors at the college level, especially when I want to go onto law school after I graduate.

Most school clubs, in high school and college suck in general, not just for you.
Especially now a days where it's turned into litte Mary Parker padding onto her college resumee by going to the Guitar Club with absolutely no skills nor any real want to learn.
So I just gave up on the club and activity scene in highschool and college.
Unless they open up a competitive keg league, I can't see myself being an "active student" in my community.

Well, she is a retired nurse. So that would be the most logical thing to do.
My brother was home this afternoon and he showed me the proper way to use the little automated one, my blood pressure readings were a little more accurate. 150 over 80. I think my blood pressure headache is further aggravated by the sinus problems I've been having lately.... so today I've been drinking water like crazy, eating low salt foods when I can, and taking allergy and headache meds. I'm feeling better, still a bit headachy.
I want to punch my brother out right now, though. He's making venison chili, and he's sauteing peppers and onions to go in it. It smells so good.... where he learned to cook is anyone's guess.
Oh, and if anyone is on facebook, send me a pm.

I've been sitting on this for a few days, but... you're starting to remind of the subject of Mc Chris' song "Nrrrd Grrrl." Incredibly cute, incredibly intelligent... but sometimes you just puzzle me.
That is not to say I have a crush on you or anything. Just making an observation.

I'm not one much for movies, but that one has peeked my interests quite a bit.
You don't have to ruin the movie for me, but... do is it end well? Because if it doesn't, and I go in there knowing that, I'm going to be pissed on top of being depressed.
At 2/1/09 06:56 PM, SkunkyFluffy wrote: That's why we have Tivo.
I got pissed over the commercials, and we have tivo... namely because my mother would watch them through, rewind, THEN record the commercials so my dad can see them when he gets back from Church (even though I suspect they're having a super-bowl party there anyway). I'm telling her to do the logical thing and just hit "record" when the commercials come on, and she won't do it. So yeah... here I am, listening to songs off of Nightmare Revisited.
And wherever she is tonight, I hope Janet Jackson is FUCKING HAPPY for being part of the reason why we cannot have a cool super-bowl halftime show to watch anymore. No more can we watch great acts performing with each other for one-off performances, now we have to settle for the same old schlock rock bullshit we can see at ANY TIME WE WANT ON YOUTUBE DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR.
