I am making it so my new cell phone plays part of the theme song from Bucky O'Hare as its ringer. My lifelong dream has been achieved.

SHARING RINGTONE TIME!
Mine simply plays the opening riff from Extreme Ways by Moby.

My power went out for about half an hour (in the middle of watching a recorded show).
Luckily my gas fireplace in the living room can run without electricity. The downstairs monitor doesn't.

R-G its stuff like this that you post that brings me back...& makes me so damn glad I've gotten away from that that part of my life...but as a smalll little side note. I never realised I would be using so much math to hang shit from a buildings sub structure. & when you need to build bridals to get a single pick up point that needs to be with in an inch or so of the structures so light lines & sound sync works...its math , complete with calculators & proof of building load capacities tolerances, on paper with your signature, to your rig.
If anyone had told me I was going to need algebra & trig math to work in my adult life ...I would have laughed at them in school.
So R-G who knows what can happen...
don't you find the thought of that something to look forward to?

I answer phones all day long for a living, so when I leave the office I want my cell phone to make a sound that is nothing like the ring or the beep tone that the phones in our office use.
And my dad beats everybody: one of his phones is an actual honest-to-god rotary. I think he keeps it around in case there's ever an intruder in the house and one of us has to bludgeon the guy with it.

As far as picture posting on the endless boards as I recall it's a bit of basic HTML combined with having the image hosted somewhere, or it may be able to recognize something off your machine, but I doubt it.
I would suggest doing it this way:
1. Take image and put it on photobucket or some similar site that will let you host images. If you have a myspace or a facebook, you could use the images section there I guess.
2. you type these tags into your post
Simple html at it's finest.
3. Wait for us to not give a crap about what you posted and/or ridicule you.
I'm pretty positive that's how it works, if I'm wrong ask Seven or Foangel since they post a lot of pictures.

Also, who the fuck sucked all the fun out of this forum? Every topic I seem to see anymore in here is just people yelling at each other for pages and pages, or being full of shit, or a combination of both.
What happened to the free exchange of ideas? Why does it now have to be like watching a Yankees fan and a Red Sox fan argue over who is better (which really is a stupid fucking argument...everybody knows the Yankees are better...yeah...I said it...)

I know how to recite it, by memory, in the Middle English.
I even have the resources to help you... umm-- I'm not sure how to give it to you. I recorded them from those big giant records from the 1950s into a digital format.
All you do is repeat it hella times, try to mimic then hella times.
I even know how to recite Troilus and Criseyde, although that's a little bit more tricky for me because Chaucer frequently threw a letter off here and there to make the rhyme work (cheat, otherwise...)

You must remember that more often than not it is those with the most extreme views that shout the loudest. If you are really passionate about something chances are you get easily offended if you feel your point of view is being questioned.
A psychological explanation to the "recent" recession of politics forum manners would be that the majority of posters has failed to form an identity and thus they feel insecure and challenged all of the time.
Perhaps a therapy-thread would be in order?

If only.

Hot-linking is when you link an image directly off of some private site that's hosting it that isn't set up to where they allow such things (so basically, sites that have pics, but aren't set up and advertised as picture hosting sites). Why it's bad is because you take bandwidth and resources from that site to support your linkage and lots of site owners obviously don't like that. So at the best, they just terminate your link and that's the end of it, or they turn your link into a porn pic or banner without warning, or they email me all pissed off threatening and stuff. I don't need that kind of friggin headache, it's not worth it, so I don't want people doing it, simple.

I don't believe it would be used in a serious manner...plus there might be a club for it. But yeah, it'd be a neat idea if it was used properly, but in the end it's still people confessing stuff in public that other people could easily read and make fun of them for/use against them in later posts (not like we haven't seen that sort of shit before). So yeah, it sounds like a good idea on the surface, but I can't see it really panning out.

The problem with some of these shouting matches could just have a lot to do with either some users moving from general (where everything is shouting and insulting) or just completely new sign ups. I have seen some of the older crowd arguing more, but I lot of what I've seen have been people who are relatively new.

I cannot see a therapy-thread working out as expected either, but there might be a chance that people who consider themselves in need of psychological aid could PM other users on newgrounds schooled in psychology and thus receive help in full confidentiality. This would be effin hard to maintain and effin harder to make sure it works, so perhaps we all should just put a link to an official website that specializes in treting mental disorders and can give medical advice on neurothical episodes and the like in our sigs. I am up for it if you are :D

I couldn't help but notice that on the bottom there it said you're listening to the classic Bill Cosby bit about Noah's ark. "How long can you tread water?" I can remember from almost as early as I can remember listening to my dad's Bill Cosby records. It's what defined comedy for me.

It's called "Same thing happens every night" and it's on his album "Himself." There's a great bit earlier in the album "Natural child birth." Where he talks about the adventures of he and his wife having their first child. This includes lamaze breathing so rythmic they're asked to do it at parties and the very human consern that she might give birth in his new ferrarri. A lesser comedian I would have ruined for telling you that much but beleive me there's so much more.
When I saw the album a while back I just had to grab it up. But somehow my ipod fails to capture the memories of laying on the floor listening to a LP.

Yeah but it's not that easy to recapture childhood. As a grownup you worry about getting your shirt dirty, how long it's been since you vaccumed, all that kind of stuff. As a kid you don't think twice about laying on the floor. Plus there are so many places you can fit that an adult just doesn't.
I dare you as an adult to find a place you fit comfortably on the floor and lay there for a while. I assure you it will be obstructive.

I've only ever listened to my old lp's once or twice, I'm always paranoid about getting them scratched up.
----
So I've been battling this on-again off-again headache for the last few days, and this evening it evolved into a full-blown migraine. My mother got home and gave me one of her Valium to mellow me out (it only took the edge off), and after while she took my blood pressure with one of those little automated blood-pressure cuffs.
First reading; 170 over 111. Second reading; 240 of 120.
For those of you who don't know how to read blood pressure charts, I'd be on the verge of a coma right now, stroking out.
My mother tried the cuff out on herself, and it gave similar numbers, and she's always been on top of her blood pressure.
I think the little gadget she has for taking blood pressure is screwy... still, I'm heading to my doctor on Monday, drinking lots of water, and avoiding as much salt as possible until then.

I think your mother will do fine to invest in a stethoscope and a manual sphygmomanometer
It was fun to learn how to use one when I took my WFR course. My second favorite thing to learn was how to make a makeshift litter out of planks of scrap wood, duct tape and twine.
