The handle on those is totally different. Mine is from the European tradition, and like I said, it the heraldic attribute of St. Michael. I see where you were going with it, I guess.

I heard one was already made where there is already a discussion being held.

Skunky, I have a tatoo and although I don't regret it-- I wonder what would it be to not have it anymore.
Try this...
Get a permenant marker. And draw that tat you're wanting to put it. It won't be "the same"-- but it will give you a good idea. It's easier if it's just black tribal, and much more difficult with line art.
Or-- go to the mall and find one of those paste-on tats. Just play around.
I'm partial to butterly tattoes. If I wasn't just a slight bit more comfortable with my masculinity-- I would get a butterfly and/or a rose tat.
But... you know... a guy with a rose and a butterfly tat... whose already fruity enough... and not Sylvester Stallone...
I already have enough on my plate.
But, you know, butterflies have a cultural significance that you may like. There's that "happy skeleton" angle of it. Aztecs used to believe that monarch butterlies were the souls of their loved ones.
Thought you may like to know since you're into happy looking skulls.

I need someone, anyone, to explain something to me.
I'm sitting here having just signed on to check my email and the like, and I turned on the tv to so I can have some background noise. The channel; Discovery. The Show; Man versus Wild. It's the Ireland episode, and I turned it on just as he was field dressing a wild sheep he found.
Having a dad who once used to deer hunt, I'm used to seeing an animal skint and field dressed, although I'm not wild about seeing it done. What killed me, however, was the sound of him twisting the legs and head 360 degrees until they broke free of the carcass. It was that snapping and cracking sound that just... un-nerved me.
I don't get what it is, I can watch some of the goriest movies and walk away unphased (90% of the time). But the sound of a bone breaking just... George Carlin described it as the response most people get to hearing someone pop their knuckles, like you've just been covered with snot... somebody else's no less (AHHHHHH!!!!).
Can anyone rationalize that for me?

I don't really know for sure man. There's probably a complicated psychological answer, but I think different people have different triggers like that.
For me, it's heavy bleeding, cut throats, severings, etc.

While since my pyschological information only goes up to Freud, I'll try.
Something something something, oedipus complex, something sex with mother, something something reminiscent of breaking bones something something something dreams of sex with mother and death of father something something id and ego.
That is why you don't like broken bone snapping sound.
Or because it's a natural reflex of the human condition to assume that sound with the ultimly pain of themselves or somebody around them.

It's more "real"-- I guess.
I dunno, I've eaten beef stroganoff while watching lions eating guts, doctors removing 50 pound tumors, watched a woman giving birth, an open heart surgery, and just about everything else on Discovery. Hell, I was eating a peanut butter and bananna sandwhich (ala Elvis style) when I was reading Chuck Palahunik's short story Guts-- and people have fainted when they're read or heard that story. (It's that graphic...)
But I don't dare go on to Animal Chanel without cruising on the preview guide because I have a deep fear of snakes... like, I can't even STAND looking at snakes. Like... I can feel my jaw slack, my hands go weak, and I feel light headed when I see snakes. Crazy as it sounds, I can even "small" them even when it's on TV-- and it's like sweet and musky, like the insides of a hollow pine tree.
And people who walk in snake skin boots-- I got to walk away from them. I mean, anything snake leather print just really creeps the shit out of me. God, I remember I had to let my supervisor, years ago when I worked in a bank, to take over one costumer who took out her money from a snake skin wallet. I just couldn't touch that money... I know, stupid. But that's what all fears are, I guess...
I guess everyone has one of those "things" that they can't stand...

I can understand that. I wound up turned the channel to the news... where it's discussion of Obama's Inauguration tomorrow and nothing else. :-\

I plan to be online most of the day, but once that ceremony concludes? Every idiot and their mother will be on here and in General making threads about it. Nothing will stop the spam from coming, it's just gonna be hoping there's enough mods around at the time to contain it.

Were suppose to get snow tonight around midnight, and tomorrow as well.
I'm happy, but even if it does snow I'll be stuck in school and wont be able to enjoy it.
We don't really get snow here, but it tends to go straight into a icy hell.

Here we've been getting tons of snow but it's all been powder. The explanation I've heard is that it's too cold for there to be moisture in it. So that's been lots of fun to get through.

You want some of mine? We got more snow than we know what to do with. It's that wet heavy stuff that end up knocking out the power every 15 minutes.

Well yeah this entire week has been around 15 degrees. That's without wind chill.

lol I would sure enjoy it. The ice here tends to knock out the power for 1-2 weeks and overall it's not safe to go outside due to trees falling.
