I am saddened to hear of your little ones problems Seven.
My youngest daughter stopped breathing in my arms when she was 9 weeks old. One of the (my) top 5 freak out things to have happened to me so far on this journey.
I hate it when babies get sick as well, but at least if you can get them to a hospital...they have a real good chance of coming home.
I meant to ask earlier...what exactly is the operational problems encountered on Vista, by you out there who experience some ?

heart murmurs happen all the time, depends on what type though.
exercise is your best bet, give that heart some pushups, so the murmur does not become a stutter

New story coming up.
It's weird, I figure out how to do great background info, but the actual story is a pain in the ass to write.

Yeah, my problem with my story is that I've been way too literal about starting a chapter right after the last one ended. I have to learn to let time pass and count on the narritve filling in the blanks. But I'm keeping all the explosions. If time passes assume nothing exploded.

I'm kinda writing something right now.
And I have this idea for a story, the process of conception and development in the womb from the perspective of the baby. Probably going to be an allegory.
Meh.

You know you want to see anadorible baby girl doing aerobics. She'd have a little pink headband indicating that she's a girl.

I feel so sorry for your kid.

It might not come back, and if it did, it wouldn't be right in the head.

Lolno. This will be our first performance.
We've had problems getting members. He can play like any instrument, but he's the guitarist. I play bass. No one we knew was able/wanted to drum for us. There's this girl in my class who we'd like to play with us (backing guitar, and she has an amazing voice) but she needs some work. And ANOTHER girl in my class is picking up bass very rapidly, which would be cool, and would enable me to sing more (I play bass right now).
So, all in all, it's a rather complicated situation. But my guitarist is really musically talented and can come up with great stuff so easily. So we're hoping soon we can get songs forming, now that I'm developing ability. :D
Now that things are getting rolling, look for us: Too Much Like Sleep. I'd like to involve NG with our band once we start making stuff; probably submitting our songs to the audio portal. And I had this idea that, IF we ever make an album or something, maybe we could have a competition in the Art Forum to design our album cover. Who knows. Dream big, eh? :P
unrelated to tool and music, guess what I have?
Fundip.
That sugar kool aid stuff you dip the vanilla candy stick in.... it's awesome.

On computers;
I haven't had any issues with Vista as far as things crashing on me, which is surprising given my personal history with computers. I just set my tool-bar appearances on "Window's Classic" style, got rid of all the goofy Vista bullshit on my desktop, and went from there. I actually like the fact that when a program does lock up on the rare occaison that I can actually open up the task manager INSTANTLY to close the offending program.... unlike Window's 2000 or prior versions where I'd have to reboot completely.
The only thing that really gets on my nerves is that security window that pops up every now and then when I'm deleting stuff or opening my CoH connecting tool. I could do without that for damn sure.
*looks around*
A friend of a friend stopped by at work today to chat. He's a knife collector, and let me take a look at one of his Cold Steel knives, a piece from the Voyager series (the medium Tanto Point).
I'm a little bit conflicted on the subject now that I've actually held one. Because that handle they talk about seriously weighed next to NOTHING, which sent off little red flags in my brain that it was a cheap knife. But, the blade itself was fairly sharp, and that's where the fun is. I guess I'll have to save up my money and buy one to find out, or buy one of their cheaper fixed blade knives.

Seven's video re-defined win.
Also, anybody checking out Sarai's thread on Israel? Don't! That thing is like a car accident.
It's horrible and violent and people are suffering...and yet....I can't...look away...
Also, something to throw out to my fellow mods, we should probably just fold all other Israel type threads (until this current conflict is over anyway) into that, because it's pretty general and can cover all of it really.

I don't think car crash is an apt discription...more like a train wreck.
I've been playing in amoungst the wreckage while carrying a large spoon to stir with ;)

A train wreck after hitting Will Smith in "Hancock" is a more accurate description.

Star Trek...? Okay.
I wanted to get one of their Spike until I heard from that same friend-of-a-friend how their constructed. When they say "zero edge grind" on there, they mean that the v-grind taper of the blade goes straight from the spine to the edge. No extra taper to the edge, meaning you would just lay the blade flat against your stone and start sharpening.
And I don't like that, simply for the fact that by the time you dull it enough to need to sharpen it, you're going to sacrifice a LOT of the blade just to get it re-sharpened, and it would also severely fuck up the finish.

Star Trek Voyager. The basic premise is that this ship was flung way out in space and they had to do what they do without the federation backing them up. It was good.

It's been so long since I seriously collected. Here's the most recent piece I bought. I'm told it's from some magna. I don't know. That's never been my genre.
I got it at a cool game store that apparently no longer exists in my town. It's a shame. The owner had to get up from his game of magic to sell it to me.
