Ok, I remember something like that I saw once. Some vampire guy who goes around hunting other vampires with an enchanted sword? The video store only had one episode. It was decent watching but nothing too compelling
blah... can't believe I was sooooooooo like that.
Well at it's base the idea of vampires can be a cool one. Powers, immortality, mystery, it's all good stuff. It's when people use it to be angsty that it's annoying.

So... we're going to have a major epic battle of "paper, scissors, rock."
Loser goes out to see Twilight...
You mean Rock, paper, scissors.
Regardless, I've already made fun of the local vamp kid groups for wanting to see the movie. Wonder if this will actually push them over the edge and make them try to tear my throat out.
And somehow, I still don't know how but I might be getting myself into a local documentary about the increasing costs of College education, the increased costs of college books etc etc. Apparently I talked to someone well enough about the topic to be mentioned to the group doing the movie.

If you're that angsty about it you could go with Fli to see Twilight.

Yes.
You have no idea how hard I laughed at this.
Although I thought that the Twilight books and movie were not as bad as you are making out. The bad part of all of it is the crazy fangirls who are obsessed. The books are not the best things ever written, but I enjoyed them.

If they make the movie 6 or 7 years ago, maybe they'd have used that song. Wow, has lincon park really been around that long? Fuck I'm old.
Either way, I am sure you will fight well dispite not being physically imposing, an aspect that feeds into the target audiences hatred of jocks.

I don't care what anybody says; Anne Rice's vampire LeStat (from the book, not the movie) could wipe the floor with any other movie vampire there was or ever will be without breaking a sweat. The only thing on the face of the earth that might stand a chance is Chuck Norris.

That all well and good, but how do you get an advantage over other people with those abilities?
While we doing the vampire geekage thing I'll admit something. I read the first few Anita Blake books. In them she dates a werewolf who lifts weights (cannot even imagine what the weights a werewolf would need would look like) and studies martial arts. She sees this as surpufluis as he could already lift cars. He expained simply "not when everyone else can lifts cars too."

Attack in numbers. Or get Akasha to burn them to gooey cinders with a mere gaze.

Martial Arts I can understand, as sheer brute force is nothing usefull if you don't have any way to apply it.

My wife is a fan of Ann Rice. We have almost as many books by her on our book cases as we do from Terry Pratchett.
She got the whole Anita Blake series. She read the Twilight series as fast as she could, but she's not obsessed with it...it was a good read and she's currently reading the third Eragon book.
I'm reading Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book with her and Neal Stephenson's Anathem right now

Vampire Chronicles... by Anne Rice. And I think you're talking about Blade...
The Vampire Chronicles are still a good read though... up to Memnoch the Devil. And if you're lucky to get the old Books on Tape version with Frank Muller reading them, you're really in for a treat.
Well at it's base the idea of vampires can be a cool one. Powers, immortality, mystery, it's all good stuff. It's when people use it to be angsty that it's annoying.
It would be boring... what would be ideal, for me at least, is that I could get past 100 years old without any health problems, with full use of my body and things like that. And then... die peacefully. I guess that's a good compromise between a short life and immortality.

It's a Californian thing sort of like "anyways" instead of "anyway."
"Paper, scissors, rock"-- That's how I've played it in my childhood, and that's how everyone else says it. I sort of get miffed every time I hear it the other way around too cause it just doesn't roll off the tongue quickly enough.
I mean... For me, if you're going to order words, you'll put the longer syllables first, and the smaller ones in the end.
but, anyways...
Oh--
I worked today, so I avoided going to see Twilight...

No I am not. The video store had something called the vampire chronicals and it was about a vampire who was definatly not Blade hunting an evil vampire lord with an enchanted sword. Also, Blades sword was not enchanted.

So basically you want to be like Aragorn from lord of the rings? Basicall the deal with his race is that live a long ass time and "can retain their fitness to the end of their days."

I'm going to google this up and see if there are other "Vampire Chronicles." Proteas, do you know???

I thought Aragorn was a regular human... mmm...
But, yeah-- that would be ideal. Not immortality, but a really healthy long life.
I think, by the time you reach 100, you start to get bored anyways...
So it's like sex and the city, someone in your position has to go?
Ummm... yeah--
I haven't seen Sex in the City. Well, not in full. Just in small segments here and there.
Every guy I dated wanted to see that in the movies (I saw Kung Fu Panda soooo many times cause it was that or... Sex in the City.)
And I have all the DVD's... I just can't get into it. I even dedicated summer to watching them, but I just didn't.
Apparently, I'm the Samantha of the group.
What I'm really interested in watching is the Sopranos... Havent' seen them, and I bought the complete seasons.

FINE.
Ok, there's some verses in the old testament about not marrying infidels/non-jews. The Church of the World Creator probably quotes them; I don't remember what they are. Happy now?
