Whoa whoa whoa, calm down.
Sorry if I disturbed you; I just don't consider what I said creepy, since I have been taught to accept these phenomena.
In any way, I think you should also be less marginalizing, since these experiences might be kinda traumatic, and I have known people who have had them (not like me, that I dream stupid stuff, they foresee accidents) that had to deal with others holding your STFU attitude, and they're not very happy, they're rather lonely. And they can be your friend, your relative, or even you. Heck, it has happened to at least one person per generation in my family.
heh, reminds me of homosexuality.
Come to think about it, I know no homosexual in my family. Doesn't surprise me that much, my family's strongly Catholic, except for my father's side, who are anarchists and fascists.

Regardless of whether I'm "marginalizing" you, what you said was incredibly creepy and inappropriate. I don't believe that whatever weird psychological thing you've got going on that gives you weird dreams gives you the right to belittle my feelings of personal privacy and my right to determine what makes me uncomfortable.
You moved beyond lighthearted, acceptable sexual humor and into the realm of creepy stalker shit, and considering some of the incredibly improper things you have said to me in the past on IM, I don't think I should have to forgive you for it. Nothing I said was a "STFU attitude" and you're not some kind of tortured psychic. Share that shit with your psychiatrist.
You have made me feel personally violated. You are not the victim here.

Well, I can't say as I've ever had any precog dreams (thank buddah)... but I am a lucid dreamer. I can control my dreams as though I'm in real life, and sometimes better than. It used to be that if I got to a point in a dream that I didn't like, I'd "rewind" (almost literally) and re-do it until it worked. The result of this is I haven't had anything close to a nightmare since I was 10-ish. Kinda handy actually.
Also, I have to be like the only person in the world who almost never has sexual dreams... no idea why. Though my underwear thanks me I'm sure.

I've had some precog dreams. stuff that makes me think I'm losing my mind. Like we'd have some conversation in class and I'd be amazed that my friends don't remember that we had this exact conversation a week ago. But that comes from me having problems telling apart dreams from reality. Just a few weeks ago I was talking to my friend about the time he gave me a ride home from college and was like dude, I don't have a license. I distinctly remember being in his car with him driving. It pisses me off. Plus I also had a dream, one of my few sexual ones about some chick my mind invented, then after the dream, in what was apparently another dream I saw her and tried decide whether or not the sex we had was a dream or not, and I decided it was a dream, while in my dream.
As to nightmares, not so much, although I did have a falling dream recently and I was a bit freaked out so that may count.
Also, I have to be like the only person in the world who almost never has sexual dreams... no idea why. Though my underwear thanks me I'm sure.
Never once had a wet dream here. I rarely dream about sex, but then I don't remember most of my dreams so I could be wrong.

Hey let's go into the series of events that happened here:
1) You have a sex dream about a BBS regular which involves personal details that the person has posted about
2) You decide to go onto the very same BBS and post about it
3) Someone replies to your post, you go into further details in a non-joking manner
4) You post again, going into even further details and saying that sometimes you dream about stuff that later comes true, in an extremely blunt manner
5) Said BBS regular (correctly) informs you that your posts are getting creepy and tell you to shut up
6) You complain about being marginalized
Even if you DIDN'T have some sort of IM history with SkunkyFluffy, what you did was weird. Like, objectively creepy.

In other news, my third year of university is nearly killing me to death. Coupled with the fact that my parents pressure me to get very high grades, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about these next two weeks, and whether or not I'll be able to sleep at all during them.
Fortunately, I don't feel so bad now, because I recently found out that my mom dropped out of university ten months before finishing, and my dad apparently barely scraped by with passing grades, and that was after he switched out of engineering because it was too much work for him.

My mom had dropped out of highschool and spent a few years out of school, but ultimately wound up going to college and even getting her masters in education. she's a teacher now.
my dad was the typical work hard, good grades person...he was like a semester away from getting his masters before he took a transfer and a promotion (which was what he was getting his masters for anyway) and wound up never being able to finish his degree because back in the 80s SUNY schools wouldn't take graduate credits from other states.
my sister always did well in school. my brother and I are more like our mom...I takes a lot for me to get motivation for school. I'm still struggling with my slackerish ways.
also, der-lowe, you crossed the line for creepy. Sorry, but yeah...
I guess this isn't the right time to mention my dream about stafff and I making a WWE related gay porn together :/

It's weird, but I can control angles and perspectives in my dream.
Just like a video camera...
But I can't control what I dream.
Recently, I had a horrible one where my arms were being gnawled on by something monsterous but I couldn't see it... just see my arms being chewed off.
It doesn't help that my arms are sore very often now that I've returned to pumping weights. Waking up with sore arms sort of added to the realism...

.... how? The whole sex and poison ivy costume deal?
I can see how it is creepy for everyone reading it (skunky in particular), but unless everyone failed to notice, even Der-Lowe admitted it was creepy himself. I experience deja-vu on a weekly basis, and it messes with my mind enough as it is, so I know where he's coming from. I don't think he intended it to mean he was stalking Skunky, not by any means.
As far as my dreams go, it's usually just everyday life stuff when I have deja-vu. Nothing spectacular. I rarely dream anymore, or if I do I don't remember it. Case in point; I remember on on occaison listening to the orchestral version of Tool's "Schism" in my playlist one day. The next morning, I remember waking up curled up in the fetal position close to tears, wanting my mother, scarred half to death. Still have no idea what THAT dream was about, and it's probably for the best.

My dreams are very mundane.
I took David Caurso's place I was put through several situations where I just uttered one liners.

3rd year is hard for some reason, whether it's high school or college. I think it's just because you move from pre-reqs to more difficult, professional work. My experiences anyways.
Either way, if it helps you any, what works for me is setting a good schedule and cutting out anything extraneous. I've got a few difficult weeks as well, and in addition to studying this whole weekend, I've put myself on the "old man" schedule: Bed by midnight, up at 6am (or earlier). You still get some sleep, but it's the harder weeks where you have to use all the tricks of the trade. All the things they tell you in studies and all that. Works for me anyways.
Fortunately, I don't feel so bad now, because I recently found out that my mom dropped out of university ten months before finishing, and my dad apparently barely scraped by with passing grades, and that was after he switched out of engineering because it was too much work for him.
My parents always give me the same line whenever college comes up:
Neither would probably even get admitted to Umich if they applied today.
Ironic considering they're both Wolverine grads, and my mom graduated with honors.....
I think they're lighter because they know (and Rav can back me on this) U of M has a way where at one point in your college career it makes you feel just completely and incredibly stupid. Eg, they don't have to put any extra pressure on, they know the institution does a better job anyways.
Good luck though, I'm sure you'll do fine.
=====
When I dream,
I dream completely uninteresting things. Like going to class or talking to teachers.
The closest thing I get to nightmares are when I dream about being late for a test or something equally stupid.
Either way, the fact that I dream things that would make accountants look interesting probably would be worth a few pages in Freud's book.

Look at what your thread has grown to.
It still has regulars in the Politics Forum coming here . Although many new "faces" have appeared & some of the old ones are no longer here...I believe your original idea is still working out the way you originally wanted. Or at least that's how I see it when I reread your opener on page 1.
The Last sentence in your original post quote> " Basiclly, this is just a hang-out thread for people of intelligence & opinion that need a quick "break" from debate or have something nonpolitical to discuss. "<end quote
Although I believe the "intelligent" part can be debated on, if there is or isn't any... You can't argue about those of us here dropping by to express an "opinion".
That's going on in Spades. At 2500 pages I believe this is the longest thread here at NewGrounds. I just did a quick flip through the forums & the 'Whereis/How to ' Forum has a thread with 2267 pages as of today.
This one seems to be the longest, good idea....nicely done .

If the current trend of bullshit and deserved slices across the face continues, I see no point in carrying on with this. Though rest assured that those who wished upon me great amounts of misery can now be content that, though perhaps not in the form they intended, their wishes have succeeded beyond measure.
