No, I did this documentary once about this witch that lived in the woods.
She apparently cut of pieces of their body first, like ears and whatnot and kept them in the corner.
I was so startled.

I gave out king sized candy bars this year...
They're all gone, and my house is called "the cool house." They're all gone right now.
Except for all the older-end of the teenagers who dress in all black and think they're too cool to say, "Trick-or-Treat."
Jesus, one guy was 17... and he had a more complete beard than me. And he weighed more than me (I'm 250) and was taller than me.
I tell them the candy is for the kids, and to go and find a party or something.
I'm headed out in a few minutes to a friend's for a very small party-- depending if my current ABF (Almost-B-Friend) is at his home right now.
He's coming out of work right now and he's probably not in the mood of giving candy. So, maybe some horror movie and an In-And-Out Burger for the two of us.
I didn't dress anything this year, but I'm sure the mask I'm born with is enough for now.
OH--
A cat nearly attacked my cockatiels today. Poor things were so scared today that they looked shocked for a very long while.

We got one trick or treater apparently. Which is cool, more candy for me.
We bowled the fire department tonight...none of them showed up...neither did any of my team mates...I kicked ass personally, but no one saw it.
Also we lost because two of my mates have pretty crappy averages...we lost to people who weren't even there...god that is sad/

If by "in the woods" you mean an actual domocile somewhere out in the middle of a densely grown rural forest area, then yes. I live out in the sticks, and I see my fair share of small furry woodland creatures, but I don't live in the woods.

It may have been over-ripe if it was that difficult to cut raw, they're supposed to be relatively soft and easy to cut if good (like slicing through lunch meat).

True. I broke what I thought was perfectly good steak knife in two one time prying frozen burritos apart, and then I was left standing there holding the pieces when I realized that the shank of the blade only when like a quarter inch into the handle. Junk.
I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on a good Damascus Steel kitchen knife like what they sell on the Japan Woodworker website, but they're so damned expensive as to be ridiculous. I could put four new tires on my car for the cost of one chef's knife.

No, it was exactly perfect, according to the online "how to pick a Hubbard squash" stuff I looked up. It's just that Hubbard squashes are eating squash, and they have super thick rinds and flesh. Cutting a straight line is fairly easy, once you get through the rind, but I was trying to cut the "lid" and that requires curves. Not nearly as easy as a thin-walled pumpkin.

Halloween gone wrong...
that story doesn't even mention why the guy had started shooting.
it wasn't even like "he didn't open his door so the father started yelling" or "the guy was irate and screaming at the family"
all it sounds like is that the family walked up to the door and the guy started shooting them for no apparent reason.
The fuck was going on in that house that the other people who were there weren't involved in this story somehow? was there an ongoing argument in the residence?

So last night I helped organize a Soul Calibur 4 tournament here in AA. It was a lot of fun, but I realized something important: I'm not nearly as good as I thought I was. I might be the best SC4 player in Ann Arbor, but the guys who came in from Saginaw and Southfield were holy crap amazing. I took 5th (I think, might be 6th) out of 8, though I did put up a good showing even in the matches I lost.
Biggest lesson: I need to play against more characters more often. My lack of familiarity with some of the char's options killed me more often than anything else... that and I need to learn a little more about how to gain, maintain, and exploit advantage.
Second biggest lesson: I need a stick like fucking NOW.
