Don't judge yourself too harshly. All the muscle I've put on has to in some way affect my alcohal tolerance. I mean it's there and it's body tissue. It has to have some effect.
In drunkeness news. I gues I'm not too far gone because I've decided to watch "shoot 'em up" instead of "eurotrip" which is my usual drunk film. Right now I'm between thinking I could fight like that and just wanting to fire up the latest Hitman game and doing it there. Damn, I wish I beleived in something enough to kill that many people.

That's why I like it... really good quality burgers. But the name "in-and-out" is a misnomer... so many people, it takes FOREVER to get your order.

But it's worth the wait in my books.

I didn't go to In-and-Out.

It's a long read, but I would appreciate any and all feedback. The window for alterations to be made is now until Monday evening.

Cheers.

One of the head cashiers at work stopped me yesterday after I clocked in, and asked me if I had ever signed up for a credit card through the company. I had not, but I signed up for one for her so she could get the little cash bonus in the contest they have going on.

Would you believe I got approved for a $1400 credit card through my own employer?

I can have six drinks and not be very drunk, and I'm female and weigh 115 lbs soaking wet. But I'm Irish-German with a dash of Scottish, so maybe that's it. I've also never had a hangover.

When I was in Louisville for the Annual Meeting I went to the Maker's Mark bar and ordered a flight of Four Roses - a double shot of each of that distillery's finest labels, for a total of six shots of Kentucky bourbon. While I was finishing that, a gentleman asked if he could buy me a drink, and since I had made my relationship status clear (he wanted me to stick around so we could talk about guns, actually), I allowed him to order me a mint julep.

The six shots of bourbon went pretty easily. The mint julep was probably two shots' worth, and I admit afterwards when I paid my tab and got up to head back to the hotel, besides having to pee like you would not believe (four iced teas at dinner before coming to the bar, plus the booze), there was a little bit of a sway in my step. But I was sober enough to walk into a Borders, ask where the restroom was without slurring, unbutton and unzip my own fly, pee without splashing, rezip, buy a CD, make reasonable small talk at the register, and get back to my room three blocks away without incident.

Not bad for a skinny chick.

He followed me home, can I keep him?

I get tipsy after like half a glass of a mixed drink

but I can drink a good amount without adverse reactions.

Montreal was weird because I had only driken maybe 4 or 5 beers the entire time and by the time I was throwing up, most of those should have been out of my system. I feel my immune system was busy trying to fight something. I never threw up from alcohol before.

I know that some meds will make your liver ignore alcohol and it'll stay in your system much longer...but I don't remember being on anything.

oh well, I had my few shots of vodka in sour mix and a mikes tonight and the buzz is already gone.

Interesting letter from the Student Loans Company yesterday - apparently it's easier to pay off your student loan now. Very tactful for them to send that out in the middle of a global financial meltdown and in the face of an impending recession.
