5th semester is fun.
damnit, I just want a degree. Can't I just keep shelling out thousands of dollars to them and get a diploma in the mail?

I once joked in the college bookstore that any day now they were going to put up a price list that read as follows;
We also accept,
- Cash
- Check
- Credit Cards
- Your eternal soul
- Your firstborn child
- Your right leg...
----
And I thank Sergey Brin and Larry Page for the wonder that is google, because they just saved me about $50 on my next sharpening stone. Combination 4000/8000 grit Norton Waterstone that most straight razor fanatics recomend for sharpening; $79 at Sharpening Supplies.
"Surgical Black" Arkansas stone my buddy at work swears by and HAS used to sharpen straight razors with; $29 at Excalibur Cutlery and Gifts.

Kid you not.
I believe it. They aren't there for you to save money, they're there for your convenience. Supply and demand and all that crap.
Which is why I always found it more convenient to shop at wal-mart for my school supplies.

Isn't that how private universities work?

We don't have one :(
Well, there's one but it's private. THat's ghey. The govt used to have a publisher that published really cheap books; dunno what happened to it.
What we will have is a cafeteria. It's sooooooooooooooo yankee, well, im in Economics after all, and we have a snobbish tendency. I think I'll take pics.

I got a parking ticket yesterday.
it's a fucking motorcycle. How was I at all hindering somebody else from parking? you could fit like another car in the parking spot next to it. >:(
and it annoys me because last week I went to the campus police office to do the parking permit thang.
and the girl was like "ok, give me your license and student ID" and I do and she puts stuff in the computer, then I'm like "ooh, I have a motorcycle, is there a different process for that or anything?" and she's like "yes, you need to bring in your registration and we do that here, not online"
so, I go to get my registration adn they closed between me walking back to my bike!
I wasn't able to get back to the office for a week because of my schedule and in that time I got a ticket (for $100). And I walked in today with my registration and the supervisor lady who wasn't just a student on work-study was confused why I came in and why I didn't buy my permit online.
I could have saved myself all of this trouble if it weren't for that stupid twit last week.
So I got my permit online today, and then filed an appeal for my ticket (also done online, wtf). The permit was $95. This month it was either pay for the ticket or pay for the permit.

How many times will I wait in a line?
It's three-thirty, I fuckin' got here at nine
I'm finally up to the front, can't wait another minute
Why am I here? to pay a fucking parking ticket
The lady at the counter acts like a fuckin bitch
No smiles, no help, you're just a piece of shit
I'm gettin' pissed, calm down, fuck it, forget it
Back to my car, and there it is, another ticket
How many times will I ask myself why, how many times?
How many times will I ask myself why, how many times will I cry?
It'll be all right man.

I just got back from the wood lot where I get my wood that I burn in the winter to keep from FREEZING to death. Leaves are starting to change color.... they are also starting to drop a sure sign the cold weather will soon be upon us !
As much as I hate winter...I do like Autumn.
The trees are turning , the fresh local produce is readily available & inexpensive, the helicopters are flying low all over looking for pot grow sites.
Yep Autumn in Nova Scotia, same shit every year .

Dammit, 7C, you got me started. Now I'm remembering all the cheesy pick up lines I have, and they're fucking stuck in my head!
For example,
Are you a drummer? You make my heart pound.
Do you have keys baby? Cause I'm you're car, you get me started and I go.

Hahahha. Good thing I'm not the drummer, then. Lead vox and backing bass for me. :)
But while my dad's out of the country, we're using my house as the practice site, so I have the drum set here. Fun fun fun. :D

Hi there Seven.
Weather here is a bit cool, well cool for me freeeeeeeeezing for you. If you go to the Weather networks online site & pick Eastern Canada , go down to Elmsdale & you'll see its Sunny & 15 degrees (about 62 degrees on the American System)
So I've been out & about in shorts & a T Shirt .
You probably wouldn't be as comfortable seeing as how much warmer you all are down where you habitate. Its nice to see you came through the last few storms in good shape & you & yours are OK .
Hope everyone out there has a nice week end, & remember to hug someone you love today.

I'm just looking forward to getting to wear my jacket again. Of course that means getting used to where I keep stuff in my jacket again and invariably having a few moments of feeling where my wallet used to be and having 2 or 3 seconds of mortal fright.
