I've been watching so Top Gear in the past week that I now speak to myself with a British accent and using more british expressions.

Of course she will... they always do. She'll also call you nearly every day during your first two weeks until you have to yell at her about it...

Have you learned the "dollar bill" rolling trick yet? it's almost as good as having your own rolling machine. Also, they sell filter-tips at smoke shops, and they actually make rolling a professional looking cigarette MUCH easier by keeping the end a perfect tube.

from what i understood after discussing it with someone it seemed like it was the same thing, its just that there is no "college" here, well at least not in Québec.

never heard of the dollar trick, but does sound better than getting a machine. getting filters seems like an extra hassle, who needs cylinders anyways?
and why do cigarettes make coffee so much more awesome?

Chalk it up to experience. I had done it before and never had a problem with it, but when it hit, the first episode of Jesse Jame's discovery channel special popped into my brain where he talked about having the same thing happen to him, and how the sliver rusted over and fused to his cornea and he had to have minor surgery for it.
So yeah, I can finally say I learned something from watching the Discovery Channel. ;-)

My only guess is that both contain stimulants, and that one augments the other. I know when my cousin was smoking, he used to pound Mountain Dew like it was going out of style, but not so much after he stopped smoking.
----
I learned something VERY interesting today; never underestimate the power of Jeweler's Rouge when it comes to sharpening knives. Long story short; I put a strip of paper down on a piece of plexiglass scrap and ran some green rouge back and forth on it (I got about half that amount at work for about 1/3 of that price), and started working on the straight razor I screwed up a while back.
I took a mill file to a straight razor to get the nicks out of the edge, WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING?!
After a few minutes, I was able to CLEANLY cut through copier paper with minimal effort, and it took the hair off the back of my hand without irritating the skin. I haven't even taken my barber's strap to it yet, but I get the feeling I'll actually be able to shave with this damn thing before the night is through, which is what I've been after this whole time.

Well THAT didn't work.
I guess I'll have to break down and actually buy one of those combination grit waters stones I keep hearing about if I want to get shaving with this thing. I don't know, $80 for a single stone for sharpening one particular item just doesn't seem worth it in the long run.

But for some reason, people think that "university" has certain prestige, or whatever...

Oh yes...
Coffee enemas... I've heard others too like beer (popular with alcoholics... apparently, this is a great way to get drunk and pass the breathalyzer test.)
Now, that's something Starbucks hasn't explored yet. The Double Tall Caramel Macchiato enema.
And people that things like this could only happen in a Chuck Palahniuk novel...

From what I have noticed is that in some states in the US their state university systems use "college" and "university" more to explain the size and type of school rather than the level of the school.
Say the university I'm attending right now. Until 2003 it was Plymouth State "College", now it is Plymouth State "University" perhaps because they added some sort of masters programs?
I know there's a difference somewhere, but it's a trivial type of difference, like what range of programs a school offers.
whereas "college" in many countries refers to secondary school or high school and university refers to higher education.

At least here at U of M(ichigan), "University" refers to the school as a whole and "college" refers to a program that has it's own building(s). i.e. the College of Literature Science and the Arts (or LS&A), the Residential College, etc. This is interchangeable with "School" as well, it seems, i.e. School fo Music, School of Natural Sciences, etc... So basically, a collection of colleges and schools make a University?
Eh, I dunno.

According to some local two-bit reporter the Dutch foreign intelligence agency pulled back a mole from Iran because a US strike with UAVs was 'imminent'. If it unexpectedly doesn't turn out to be sensationalist bullcrap you heard it here first. (source, not like you can read it anyway).
