You know, the pine trees on the Blue Ridge Mountains produce huge amounts of air pollution, so much so that noticeable haze occurred over them as far back as we have records - certainly before industrialization.
We should cut down all those fucking trees.

I'm as fresh as a daisy...
But, anyways...
I have a wicked sense of humor, especially in difficult moments.
My mother was worried about my sister because she didn't answer the phone (they were at Disney)... and I said, "Well, of course! How can they pick up the phone under the rubble?"
That made my mother go phone-crazy...
But, anyways, they said that their stuff is okay, but tossed on the floor.

Isn't California currently on fire or something?
well, I had my 2 days off.
replaced the brake pads on my motorcycle, the car is currently getting de-head-butted at the shop and we're borrowing my dad's full-size van (yes, the one I took to mod meat)...
But we watched Dark Knight tonight. It was good. X files is probably next on the list of things we're going to go see.
and gas is strange. between here and the nearest city there's this pocket of gas stations at $4.09...but everywhere else is still at $4.26

Gas prices are strange that way. I think it has to do with the clean air standards of each particular county more than anything; the closer you are to a city center, the more expensive gas will be because of certain detergents they add to the gas to make emissions cleaner.
In my hometown of Portland, TN, gas is hovering at around $3.70 a gallon for regular unleaded. Across the state line in Kentucky right next to I-65 North exit 6, it's $3.47. The further north you go (as you get closer to the town of Franklin, Kentucky) it gets back up to the $3.50 to $3.60 range.

I flipped out the store manager and HR lady at work yesterday. I was invited to do a "focus group," where they randomly select 5 full time employees from the store to participate in an open forum style meeting to discuss policy and procedure issues in the store. At one point in the discussion, an issue was brought up about how some members of middle management didn't seem to give much attention to the needs of the employees, and the store manager stated that he had noticed the same thing, and would (on occaison) go into the security office on his lunch break to review security cameras to see what these employees and certain others were doing on company time if they weren't being helpful to other employees.
My reaction; "You're really making me feel paranoid, sir." Everybody cracked up laughing, but the HR manager kind of gave me this weird look and asked why I was paranoid, and wether or not I had done something to BE paranoid about. My response; "My grandfather was paranoid schizophrenic, paranoia runs in my family." Now I'm suspicious that management may be keeping an eye on ME.
Also; I just sent someone in a City of Heroes player-versus-player zone RUNNING LIKE HELL after the twerp tried to take me out. I'd be more exhilarated if I had actually taken the guy down, but the simple fact that he ran makes me feel good too.

There is none of that geeks vs. jocks bullshit in Britain. In sixth form, there is none of the ethnic clubs (Black, Hispanic, Asian but not White, for obvious reasons). Thank God British students don't care about all that ethnic club shit, unlike the States.

There isn;' geek Vs Jock stuff but there are cliques and the like and you can certainly look at certain things and work out whetehr they're geeks, or popular or whatever. At least you could in my school.
I wonder why it is we don't have the same amount of emphasis on social stereotyping and groups as the US does?

HAH, fuck you guys and your >$4.00 gas.
Today, half a mile down the street it's $3.92, and a few more miles and around a corner, a little po-dunk gas station (where I go) is selling for $3.82.

I notice a trend:
gas is always cheaper south of wherever you're currently at.
Which means it must be practically free in Cape Horn (er....the nearest city to that point)!!

Imagine if you lived in the south pole. Where would it be cheaper?
Okay, that was dumb.

A little off-balance. The composition is dominated by a large, dark, featureless (mostly) building on the right, without any balance to the left. Had you walked across down the sidewalk to your left about 100 yards and included a little more sky, it would be really striking, I think.
Honest constructive criticism. Technically, it's great... just needs a little composition tweaking. Your other ones have been pretty good in both areas.
Tis better to sit in silence and be presumed a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

We're hoping for next year to do a Joker and Harley theme, and I really want Steve to do 60s Caesar Romero Joker, but of course Harley didn't exist in that series. So I'm hoping to create a 60s-style Harley. It's not uncommon for people to do this kind of thing with costumes - there's a Gotham Girls group that does 50s-style versions of a lot of the female characters. It would be an easy costume, too - mini dress, eye mask, pigtails, go go boots.
But I'm really frustrated at not being able to find a decent go-go dancer dress sewing pattern. You'd think they're popular enough as a Halloween costume that Simplicity or one of those companies would have a pattern for it, but I can't find them.

Ukelele is a polynesian word for "underchiever."

Thanks all for the crititism. It's most helpful.
Here's one from tonight from the strip. I was out with some friends, And I thought the strip might make for an interesting photo. So here it is.
I was going for the "Yeah we're done here, but what's up there?" thought.
Still any help is helpful.

The older, more cartoony ones were a lot more interesting, IMO. The recent trend with the Joker is to make him as dark as possible, when back in the day, he was, well, a joker.
I dunno, I grew up on really old villains, so I liked when the villains were actually a little funny and not completely serious.
But that sounds pretty cool; I hope your costume works out well.

Found a few examples, took some photo's seen a rainbow & came home just as the sun was setting...
A perfect day :)

Sometimes I hate being a pack rat. On the one hand, on I rarely lose anything because I've always got it kept away somewhere, but on the other hand, most of the time I can't find anything because I've always got it kept away somewhere.
I was doing some heavy duty cleaning in my room today I found two books that I bought a few years back that I had desperately wanted to study; The Berlitz "Hide this Spanish Book" of conversational spanish, and 100+ Winning Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions.
Both of them found under my bed, in a shoebox full of assorted junk I had forgotten about.

ATTENTION BACHELORS AND HEN-PECKED WIMPS;
If you wish to convince people that you worked your fingers to the bone cleaning house all day but really didn't so much as lift a finger to dust, buy and light a candle that is scented like recently washed fabric (i.e.; "clean cotton," "clean linen").
It doesn't smell much like anything, but it works better than any air freshener or cleaning product you will ever find.

The Toothbrush.
Toothbrushes are indicators of what's going on in a relationship... if you see one: RUN. (Unless, you want it serious.)
Yes, listen to Scrubs... it's basically a life guide.
I had basically been friends with Antonio, nothing serious. We made lunch together... breaded chicken cutlets and chicken adobo.
And-- he said, "I bought a toothbrush for you."
then, not too long ago, he asked we ought to be in a domestic partnership... and, I said it's way too soon, and in honesty, I didn't like him yet. He was a friend whom I'm trying to hang around with.
no sooner than you know it, I'm taking a bus ride home without shoes.
He was that quick to spurn me...
So, I guess sandals for tomorrow...
It could be much more worse in my opinion...
