Nice pic.

Here's one from Miami, by the docks.

I should be feeling the miami vice theme song but for some reason that picture just makes em think of that old song "You belong to the city." Which was on miami vice. I feel correct.

Mine does too, but only when it feels like it. Sometimes it doesn't work and I cry myself to sleep.

Don't cry... if it makes you feel any better, I can't run the streaming audio of my fave radio station AND play City of Heroes at the same time. Both programs wind up glitching out.

Sorry, I'm forever arguing this with my sister.

I still like Horatio Caine better though.

Depends where you live, I suppose.

I have relatively shit service in my home, but it's fantastic in the city. And if you want to, with some companies, you can pay extra for a service boost.

It may be the CD itself. I've got a queen cd somewhere that whenever I put it into my comp it does the same thing, and I just bought a new computer a month or so ago.

Thanks Mal.

I'm putting together a list for town. I've got tomorrow off of work and I plan on stopping at Gamestop, Best Buy, Borders, Games by James and a few other outlets. I really am writing these titles down folks, and if the price is right or the sample is succulent I'll be supporting your favorite artists.

More please ya'll.

Ps2 Game: N/A as I can't think of any at the moment.

Book: Making Money by Terry Pratchett

Practhett is an awesome author and making Money is a continuation of one of his other books Going Postal with one his, in my opinion, best charachters, Moist Von Lipwig.

CD: Manic Street Preachers- The Holy Bible

Awesome CD though its not a happy one. With some of the best, and at times bewildering lyrics ( Not even the remaining band members have a clue about what the song Revol is about) the whole album is dark, grimy, and explores the essentially extremely fucked up mind of the Bands rhythm guitarist who wrote most the lyrics and not long after the album released vanished. With subjects ranging from Holocaust denial, anorexia and self harm, the darkest sides of the album lead to a number of songs ( Of Walking Abortion, Mausoleum, 4st 7lbs, Yes) which have the ability to send a shiver down your spine whilst also leaving you in awe at how anyone managed to create upbeat music to fit downright depressing lyrics and have it work so damn well.

Awesome Cd, one of my personal favourites. Though if you're in a happy place at the moment then some of it might be lost on you.

PS2 game: Valkyrie Profile 2 (I'd recommend #1, but that's for PS1 and you can only find it on ebay for like $100.00, but it's probably the best rpg the system ever saw)

Book: Watership Down (I'd recommend Ender's Game, but you've already read that, right?.. RIGHT!?)

I think we've been over this...

CD: Ferociously Stoned by the CHerry Poppin' Daddies.

Most badass swing/funk/ska/rock album ever. With some of the most fucked up lyrics ever... similar to what TNT said about his recommendation. Drunk Daddy broke my fingers/Drunk daddy done kicked my head/drunk daddy smashed my sister/turned my whole world red... all to the most up-beat swing you can think of. Also has funkier funk than anything you'll find on a Parliament album... no joke.

Also Vegas > Miami for CSI. Sorry, Caruso's a hack... every time I watch him "act", I want to punch him in the face... then find the guy who thought he was good enough and hired him and do the same.

I actually don't have any music "awards", nor have I always been first chair... but then again, I did go to Europe in a symphony band and get accepted into one of the best schools of music in the world... so I'm cool with that. And now, with this job opening with the Ann Arbor Symphony... I could actually start my career, rather than just have a job to pay rent and tread water. Glee!

Thanks for the tips Malachy

I live on a river that bisects the Province.
I'm not planning on carrying the canoe much, I'm just looking forward to the quiet of traveling around the 70 miles of lakes & streams my yard backs onto.
Up stream from me is a lake called Grand Lake & it has water flowng east toward the Atlantic Ocean , it comes out in Halifax Harbour. It also has water running out the other end of it ,going West . It joins the Stewiak River & goes on to the Minas basin, which is part of the Bay of Fundy (highest tidal flow in the World) upwards of 40 feet vertical movement ,twice a day.
About 1 kilometer upstream is another river the 9 mile river, another nice easy stretch of water :)

my area has almost no rivers. we have the Saranac River which empties into Lake Champlain, and We are part of a the Northern Forest Canoe trail which starts in Old Forge, NY and goes all the way to Maine.

I also live close to the only designated Canoe Wilderness in the state...actually, I work there too, that's where my job's outpost is at.

our area was sort of raped by glaciers, because they didn't create very many rivers, but instead made a shit ton of small lakes and ponds. Pond hopping is what you do around here, which is why I had to learn about the different types of canoes, since you don't really want to be walking 3 kilometers with a canoe on your head that weighs 60 pounds, you want the one that weighs 36 pounds.

I would guess at 50 lbs or so.
I have yet to get her in the water... I'm off to the city for a 2 pm meeting on derigging a studio next week & the girl friends doing a double shift today. Tomorrow unless the weather is really bad we're going to take her out & see how she works.

Shadow of the Colossus--Fucking seriously, this game has next-gen graphics even though it was PS2. Basically, you are a kid who brings this dead bitch to an altar, and this voice from nowhere (sounds like God) tells you to go kill colossi. So you ride your horse to the colossi, directed by light that shines off your sword when you hold it up to the sun, and realize that they are really fucking large. Basically, you have to find out how to grab onto parts of it and climb up, usually to its head area, and stab the fuck out of it until it dies. Then it shoots these black shits into you and you pass out, only to wake up back in the altar place with your dead bitch, and God says to go kill the next one.

Oh, and the world is really lonely. There isn't anything there except for you, the colossi, and various small animals.

Aldous Huxley's Brave New World--Dude, coolest dystopia ever. Babies aren't born anymore, but instead cultured from single eggs which are split apart to produce up to 96 identical babies. These babies are conditioned throughout childhood and adolescence to do all sorts of wrong shit, like drown all strong emotions in drugs and sex and cringe at the mere mention of books or mothers.

With Teeth by Nine Inch Nails--Pretty damn good CD, particularly the songs "Getting Smaller" and "The Hand That Feeds."
