Speaking of books...
I just finished chapter20, the final chapter of The Cutting Garden. I'll be typing it up in my free time over the next couple of days.
I've already written out the plot line and character list for the next book, which curently has no working title. The plot's pretty much just laying there, waiting for me to pick up again. I hate to say it, but I'm TOTALLY one of those guys that writes because he HAS to, and not because he wants to be an author.
If I had no job, I would just work on novels all day, and would probably crank'em out. I can't help it. I love LONG series, and I love the idea of really deep character development.
I'll probably never be good enough to get movies made, but these days, who knows? The world's population has increasing amounts of free time, and maybe there IS a market for what I'm writing. My demographic (women with children in their mid twenties, teenagers and prison inmates) seems to like what I do.
But yeah. I'm just another loser on the internet trying to write professionally. However, / really like my book, so everyone else can kiss my ass. It's a blazing fast read, the words just kind of flow in nice, smooth lines that caress the mind through the eye.
I'm so excited. I'm gonna write the most profane, rancid author's note EVER on this book, just to contrast how restrained and professional the writing of the book is.

I hated what they did to the Penguin. I thought Danny DeVito gave a tremendous performance, and I think that movie is awesome, but I hated how they twisted the character to suit Tim Burton's weird tastes.
In Batman & Robin... continues to develope the Character & build on the Comic Books Stories which as we all know developed Robin & Batgirl...I really liked the job Schwarzenegger did as 'Mr Freeze' the 'Hero's & Villians' profile galleries in the special features disc2 of that DVD were an attempt to give us more info as well.
Batman and Robin is a travesty. They played fast and loose with the origin of Batgirl (she's Jim Gordon's daughter, NO RELATION to Alfred at all), they hammed it up to the point of Adam West silliness, and they ruined Bane.
Also as a male I have to mention Catwoman with "Halle Berry" while many Batman fans still put 'Julie Newman' as the best (she was the original Cat woman) & Eartha Kitt ,who I didn't find that hot...she did have the purrrrrfect character part down ... But honestly I found Halle Berry to be hot !
Again, they completely fucked over the story of Catwoman. Michelle Pfeiffer was ten times the Catwoman that Halle Berry was, and they got the story much closer to who she's supposed to be in the comics.
And it's Julie Newmar.
Lee Meriwether is my favorite Catwoman.
Yes Skunky the Batman has always been a favorite of mine as well-More
Yet it sounds like you know almost nothing about him beyond his depiction in the movies...

;;;
That is exactly where/what I know him from...that & old batman TV shows.
Michelle Pfeiffer was too scattered , in and out for me, I found her part all about shaking her ass, I found they spent way too much time on her building the costume . there is only so many available minutes a movie can be for Theaters.
I also disliked her return to work , like everything is ok ! and they accept her back . Was too badly done even for TV.
Undetered by your seemingly distain of movie batman fans...I just found & bought Batman forever on DVD. I do not remember seeing this.

Speaking of Barbara Gordon, I loved what was done in DK. You're watching the movie, you know Jim's got two kids. Anytime Jim mentions Barbara, he means his wife, not his daughter. The little girl is never mentioned by name, she's only mentioned as "my kids" or "my children". You never see her face, only the back of her--or she's in shadow.

Welcome back!
I agree with everything said so far, there was so much greatness in Dark Knight. A lot of people I know are bitching about Two-Face being killed off here, but I thought it played brilliantly into the theme. Harvey Dent was the hero Gotham wanted, but he's not what they need, he's too fallible. Batman is not the hero you could really want or feel comfortable having, but he's what the city needs, someone who will get dirty but won't compromise his ethics or the spirit of justice. By having him make Gordon cover up what Harvey becomes...it's great, he robs the Joker of his triumph and tries to save the city's soul at great personal sacrifice.

It was like a minute or two of her sewing. My only problem with that was a raincoat having enough material for a body suit.
I also disliked her return to work , like everything is ok ! and they accept her back . Was too badly done even for TV.
The only one who knew she shouldn't be there was the guy who tried to kill her. He wasen't going to advertise.

1) Where's the pizza?

I don't do beer runs...
maybe because I hate it, and more then likely... I'm sort of sneaky.
Several years ago, my friend nearly knocked my head off because I wouldn't get him two bottles of coconut flavored rum, and gave me 200 bucks, thinking they were two 10's. (As if 20 dollars was going to buy two of them... yeah right.)
I didn't pocket it, but I gave it to his mother the next day... and, man, was he so fricking pissed that I did that. He didn't get it back, at all. His mother refused it, saying that it was better spent with her than him.
I did, however, keep 10 bucks for all the troubles he caused me to buy myself burger and fries... and he didn't get his beers. LOL.
His mother bought groceries that week with his cash...

Maybe. It's good, but I think you could flesh it out a little bit more. It's to the point, which is a good thing, but it doesn't set up, and as a reader I know what's happening next.
Just my opinion.

But I just told him your comment on PsychoSocial being "slow and poppy" sounding, and he wants to go... ahem.... forcefully pleasure yourself with a 12 foot long double ended adult toy, then listen to the title track of the new Slipknot CD.

There's no certificate to go along with it, but I've handled the sword itself and seen the thing disassembled. It's virtually the same as what's pictured there in the eBay listing, kanji and all. The reason he's letting me have it for so cheap is because I'm his friend, and he couldn't sell it for full collector's price because the previous owner attempted to refinish the scabbard (it's black instead of green).
