Im planning to create a topic about my rant on cars just to see how many replies it would receive.

I live in Tennessee. Mass transit is not an option out in the country. Sissy cars are frowned upon. This is pretty much my ride.
This is from a dealership but it's pretty much a carbon copy of my truck. The mileage isn't too bad, 16 mpg. I'm fortunate with money, I have a good paying job for the summer. Gas prices are stiff, but still easily payable. It's worth the towing and off-roading, and it can hold about seven people (although there's only six seat belts.

Well, as long as the baby is okay--
I hope the best to your friend and her baby...
But anyways...
Here's something that you may want to hear.
I had a chat with my cousin. Somewhere, in Mexico, is a rat.
That's been dyed bright yellow, and made to look like Pickachu.
In Mexico, markets sell "pets" in a really cruel manner. For example, they dye chicks in pink, green, blue, red pastel colors during Easter... and sell them, very mishandled. The poor things are sick and obviously won't survivie past a few days. Nonetheless, people by them.
Well, my uncle (who is my father's cousin... so my uncle twice removed, I guess...) bought a rat (and who knows these are the pet store variety like yours) that's been modified to look like Pickachue. It's a suprise present to one of my cousins, Becky, and she LOVES Pokemon.
When he pulls the cover, apparently she screams like Hell and drops the case... and--goodbye-- the rat runs off away.
I went to google to see how a rat would look like Pickachu... I'm not sure if this is how a Pikachu/rat would look like... but, this seems realistic.

Speaking of rides...
Mine got twitchy as hell tonight. Rained buckets for a couple hours and I think some water got up in the engine and screwed with some of my electronics or something. Stalled out and couldn't use it for an hour or two.
But after it had been sitting for a while, started right up and drove me home. Here's hoping it was just a fluke.

It amazes me that to this day peopl are stil shcoked by the fact that people lie about theri age and gender over the internet. One of the gals I went to school with is 'distraught' that someone on the McFly forum who everyone thought to be a gal named Evvy or summit is now a known dude who lied.
I'm sitting here lsitenign to her and starting to think if the fact I'm used to that kind of shiz is indicative of the fact i should spend less time on the interwebs... or that the part sof the web I frequent are just strange when compared to the rest of it.
Either way it doesn't do my ego and self confidence any good lol.

Dude, they're like $250 brand new. Shoulda just asked one of us Staties to pick one up for ya and ship it... woulda been cheaper.
Could be worse, considering Sony have decided 399.99 is the price of a PS3 - in dollars, euros and pounds (although the US vewrsion is fully reverse compatible, the European one isn't). So, the currency conversion amounts to:
US: $399.99
Europe: $629.99
UK: $797.82

I was watching Headbanger's Ball last night and saw the video for "Dead Between the Walls" by Pelican. They're a Post/Sludge Metal band -- are you ready for this? -- with NO VOCALIST WHATSOEVER. You keep thinking that hippie with the microphone is going to start screaming his larynx out, but he never does, and the music goes on.... solid proof that you can be heavy as a ton of bricks and NOT have somebody demon-screaming up front.
I was going to post a pic of the "Mr Zombie" model-T from Twisted Metal 4 as my ride, but apparently nobody thinks to put out pics related to that series that aren't somehow related to the character of Sweet Tooth and his ice cream van full of body parts... fuckers.

I'm not that big a fan of heavy metal. The music isn't quite so bad if you don't mind the cacophony, but the shrieking vocals just completely turn me off.
I'm a big fan of country and classic rock.

So weirdness of all weirdnesses happened to my computer today. Seems I've lost all of my file and folder names when I'm in thumbnail view.
They show up in everything else... and show up when I try to rename, but once I hit enter, they disappear again. Can't seem to get them back.
...this is going to bug me...

I'm much the same way, and that's what I was so tickled when I saw that video the other night.
I know I am going to catch 14 different shades of hell from Funk for this, but... my main gripe with metalcore and other "core" bands (which I can only tolerate to a certain extent) is that the music itself is atonal noise, and is far to chaotic sounding. It's just guys up there banging on their instruments with no musical structure or center point. Is it fast? Insanely, and I respect them for their ability to play that fast and pull off such mind bending rhythms. Is it heavy? Well, when you string your guitars with baling wire and set the distortion on 13 it's going to be. Is it evil sounding? Definitely. Does it sound that good overall? Perhaps to some folks....
That being said, I do tend to listen to some rather evil sounding stuff on occasion (at 2:26, Abbath from Immortal steps in on vocals and really makes the song).
I'm a big fan of country and classic rock.
I was raised on both, so I can't completely write them off from my list of personal tastes (although I don't listen to either near as much as I used to anymore).
Ever heard of John 5?

The character was named "Axel," and he was the subject of a rather cruel experiment that bonded him to the wheels themselves. In the storyline of later games he was actually able to operate the wheels by choice and able to get out of them as he wanted, but he never did in gameplay. He was my brother's favorite character to play in the series... I was more a fan of Mr. Grimm, particularly in Twist Metal Black.
