THat's pretty much the whole spectrum isn't it.
I was never fortunate enough to see George Carlin at a Live performance. Once when Bill Cosby performed at a show in Halifax ,I was one of the follow spot ops during the show...I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep my lamp on him.
When we did a private show a year later & he was one of the performers I was given a job backstage where I got to meet him, really nice , personable guy.
He was cracking jokes ,and just being himself backstage before the performance .

So you were able to communicate with squirlls but you weren't then able to stimulate them intellectually. That's what we call a mixed result.

It's not really that hard...
I do it all the time.

Take a hobby...
When I take my Holga and Diana yesterday, taking just random pics... a guy said, "That's got to be one real old camera."

Then, we talked for an hour or two.
He was Jewish, came back from Tel Aviv, and his wife is a Fillipina.

which, was bad for me... cause, he was a real handsome guy...

It's more fun in Mexico because I LOVE buying stuff off the street, and get caught in the conversations with anyone and everyone.

Up to this day... people ask my family about my whereabouts and when I'll return.

:)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys. No heavy drinking tonight, I need to be up for work in the AM.

being cold blooded a snake is often drawn to a warm place. if I'm wearing a collared shirt she'll curl up in it (not around my neck). She also enjoys the feel of hair and will often weave through my hair or my fiancee's.

She will always be a wild animal at heart and we are sure to treat her with the respect due to all animals. She could very well snap out of fear or anger or instinct.

disturbing story:

this guy had a pet snake he allowed to live and hang outside of a cage in his apartment. At night it would curl up at the foot of his bed. It was a giant python (not a boa like io) and he fed it rats and suchlike.
One day his snake stopped eating and he couldn't get it to eat for weeks. Finally he took his snake to the vet. He also told the vet that the snake had also stopped sleeping at the foot of the bed but lengthwise next to him at night.

The vet told the guy that he had to immediately get rid of the snake as it was starving itself and sizing the guy up. FOR DINNER. It was laying along side him to be sure it was longer than he was. To eat.

now THAT puts shivers down my spine.

Speaking of squirrels, when I was in California on a trip once, I went to pebble beach. The rocky coast is amazing to look at and the sunsets are truly breathtaking. There are however some half tame squirrels that hang out there. They will literally come right up to you and hold out their paws, like a beggar. They are utterly unafraid of humans.

I'll return when posting pics snakes becomes less popular... a page or two later.

I seriously can't even see one, so you can imagine how unexpected it is for me to scroll down to a thread with snake pics.

I'm sorry-- very phobic of snakes. Can't even look at one without feeling the thingles. Major hebe-jebes.

I gotta say Mal, I'm not as bad as Fli is ,but just seeing them ... makes me uncomfortable.

Like sitting here now with my feet off the floor. I once had one ,I believe it was a garter snake, it had a red stripe down its side, was well it looked black & was about 3 feet long. It crawled (is that what its called ) over my foot . I was in a small blind on the edge of a power cut & this S.O.B came out of nowhere & I fired 5 ,30-06 rounds into it & hit it with a couple ,blew it in half & still couldn't touch the damn thing.

I had nightmares about it man.
I have never been back to that particular blind where we hunt.
I really , really am uncomfortable, to the point I just react if they are near , & my reaction is to kill them.
:-( , I will appologise to you for my probably totally groundless fear... but keep that away from me.

I'm okay with snakes.

Spiders, however, make me freak.

Snakes are just... cool. Like, their texture and so on.

I wouldn't want one as a pet, but you understand what I mean.

All the other bugs , esp: the mosquito's, & biting flies that they catch makes them a useful insect to have around. Although my girlfriend doesn't like 'em much .

But if I had to make a choice of what one was crawling (do snakes crawl Mal ?) up my leg ; I'd pick the spider, & even the bigger ones that jump !

What is up with butchering of words lately? Typos are understandable but I honestly don't think words including "retart" would be taken seriously if that continues.

9 ball pool World Cup is on TV at the moment! w00t!

England lost to Finland = (

Mind you, considering Finalnd seems to field most of the European team for the Musconi Cup it aint that shocking realy seeing as England only has Steve Davis and Raj Soemthing or other as well known ( ish ) players.

Just picked up a copy of Beowulf from the bargain bin at Barnes and Nobles. The thing about it that I love, it has the original translation of the verses on the left side of the page, and the English on the right.

It's so interesting to see the evolution that we have made in the English language, from this to this and finally what I'm writing in.

It's such an interesting idea, and then I remembered that I also had the same for Chaucerrs Cantebury Tales. While indeed easier to read then Old English, when you first look at it, it scares the crap out of you untill you realize that Chaucers' words are simply phonetical English, as it the spelling is based on the sound.

people use slither but "crawling" is pretty close. they have these special scales on their stomachs which move like waves. they grip in the ground and help them move. they're pretty cool to hold and let move around on you. A boa isn't slimy or scaly it has these sort of cool, moist scales
