apply for the PC, because you guys are great debators,

boycott the PC, cause you have been known to be elitist (not too often, but there are cases),

apply for the PC but be a DAG (Devil's Advocacy Group) member and use my reverse swastika vs inverted cross sig pic (or beg shrike to make one that looks cooler but on the same premise), or,

finally try and form the DAG as a seperate group (which will probably never fly because of the PC monopoly)?

some of you like me, some of you merely tolerate me, and at least one (bumcheekcity) has called all of my posts stupid. I feel this is the only way to address the politics crew with all the respect a potential member should, while keeping my personal beliefs intact. (I still think a DAG sub group would be a cool idea) see the DAG rough sig below, although I have previously posted it. (notice I have not yet added it to my sig)

Alternately, Ted, I can also just give you a sig with your name and a rotating white yin-yang, although that will take some time. I have to re-size and re-color, which isn't quite as easy as it should be. Also, it would be like mine, with one strike-through on the dollar sign.

Onto other stuff:
I actually think that the idea of a DAG is pretty good.
But that emblem is terrible. Sorry. It is. Maybe the silhouette of an angel and a devil against the yin-yang? Or possible just an inversely-colored yin-yang (see illustration below).

I suggest this because I see what you're getting at with the reversed swastika and upside-down cross, but those are both a little more inflammatory than you might think.
The last thing I want is to have a bunch of misconceptions about the PC because people may see the symbol, and think we're some sort of hate group.

So, in summary~ I outright oppose that variation on the logo. It would breed misinformation and doesn't properly represent the intentions or purpose of the crew.

And about elitism, all I have to say is that people in the crew represent their own opinions. Even when they say they speak for the PC. When people say they speak for the crew, most of the time they're only speaking for themselves. We don't all meet up before every post everybody makes. We do have standards in the crew, but it is in the interests of promoting good debate that we have these standards. We love lively debate. We just want lively and intelligent debate.
Sometimes we do snub posters and their posts, but that's usually because the post was crap to begin with.

And I'd also like to point out that joining the PC doesn't mean any sacrifice of personal opinions at all.

We promote differing ideas within our ranks.

Our very basis is the promotion of good debate.

And I don't think boycotting us would do much good since these are our stomping grounds, too. Not all of us spend large amounts of time @ snooble.

Now, if you want to join the PC, you need to head over to Snooble and PM Ted.
I'm sure it'll go to a vote. We'll see.
