Hehe. I love the way they sound, kind of soothing.

Sicko.
I was at work during store setup and they had one to announce breaks. I was standing by the check-in desk reading my schedule when someone sounded one off no less than 3 feet behind me. I jumped BIG TIME then.

My dad works at Peek N' Peak down in Clymer. It's not too far from the state line where we live, so it's about a half-hour drive from my house, give or take.

there were a few PA families around this week who's kids had Ski Wee or whatever their kid's program season passes on.
I assumed skiwee was gone, but I saw a kid with a current season pass...I think the program was bought by the Snowmonsters people. (that's what we have)
we also had Burton Learn-to-Ride for our snowboard school and even had a yurt and trampoline and snowskates and ballance boards for the snowboard school...but they don't set up the trampoline anymore and there's never enough time to actually take the kids out on the snow skates...I don't think the kids program is affiliated with learn to ride anymore, which is too bad because they had a pretty good program
the mountain got all burton rental boards which were designed with higher angled edges so that learners wouldn't catch an edge as easily, and they had some progression techniques that a lot of the new guys don't do...like spinning, that really gets kids to learn how to use their edges...but some people are just there for the free pass, so whatever. I'll actually try to teach my lessons, and they can not get paid and fuck around and not be asked back next season.

Not meaningto correct you Seven, but she may not have injured or killed anyone, but it sounds like she "hurt" you, seeing as she is now a dead friend.
Plus it is a rare occurence for a person to die so tragically & not have any other family or friends.
Who are probably hurting prety bad tonight :'(
It's so easily prevented.
I'm a 3 beer kind of person, if I can't finish my 3rd beer & immediately head home, the vehicle stays parked & I catch a cab later when I'm done drinking.

P.S. sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

Dammit, I hate when I miss two pages... =\
=================================
I have no weapons of any kind (besides, liek, kitchen stuff =P), no food supplies, and did NOTHING for New Years. I was in bed at 10:30 trying not to cry.
I have vote counting to do, and I reaaaaaaallllllllllly don't want to do it right now. My dad is being a prick lately and I can't go on through the day, so I only have limited time at night to get EVERYTHING I want to do, done. =\
I feel like I am sinking, and I don't know why.
On a better note, Nirvana is the fucking shit. Hells yes.

Well I've never played MMOs. The only one was Diablo 2 LoD in an argentinian server. It was great! No dupes, no hacks, no random bans... In the 1.10 i got to level 89. W007! But since the 1.11 the realm became quite boring because they erased the chars, and none of my acquaintances were in...
Anyway, I heard RO is fun at first, but becomes sort of a chore later. What do you have to say about that?

I play world of warcraft. They have priests, but no marriage. I'm a dps warrior, or as the people building groups call me "leper" People in there are so locked into the class you chose on day one dictating your play style.
I've been wanting to check out city of heroes/villians for a while now but I really don't feel like paying two membership fees at once.

I have just now in my posession a freshly printed "e-ticket" to Florida for January 12/08 & I return Jan.19th/08.
What in my opinion makes this so much better than e-wives & e-kids is that a meat space airline (A A) is flying me out of this frozen wasteland for a week !
As an almost solidly frozen Canadian , I am taking nothing but shorts with me, short sleeve's shirts, & short pants (I'll probably bring several Hawaiian shirts because they rock)
I am so excited I'm vibrating... gotta go to google earth & check on Orlando.... never been there.
She's hot :O
which is what I'm hoping Orlando's weather will be,
But I'm not sure if any of you have heard this Canadian saying, if it's over 50 degrees out ! It's swimming weather ---YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY

Hate to break it to you, sweetie, but it's only 47 there now.
Then again, it's 33 here with a wind chill of 21 degrees. So even 47 sounds positively tropical.

Speaking of MMOs, may I suggest Puzzle Pirates, the game internationally renowned for having both puzzles and pirates? People are much less stupid than the average MMO crowd and there isn't any anime bullshit or slash fiction on the forums.

I was just thinking that same thing...
I've been meaning to come up with something interesting, but it's all been done before.
I was thinking a thread about the problems with the US prison system, and a discussion of possible fixes, but I don't have the time or patience (or intelligence) to research that stuff. =\
Meh.
Maybe the entire board will die except for the Lounge?
That would be insane.

Minus 5 here right now & feels like minus 11, light snows starting to fall & we're about to get hit with another winter storm (4th one in 7 days)
My dear Skunky 47 sounds balmy! Definately so, if there's no wind & the suns out.
I'm assuming there isn't any snow there .
by the way neither here nor where you are, sounds like very nice place to try out your new "Ivy" costume ... good thing its not ready yet .
(good luck with that by the way)

This is why I'm glad I have friends who'll let me crash on their couches. I've slept in my car/slept on a couch MANY times for this very reason.
