I haven't been drunk out of my mind for a long while...
One beer, and I'm tipsy--

But oddly-- I can sip a mixture of tequila and grapefruit soda and not get drunk at all.

My brother tried this shot about a month ago I wanted to tell everyone about, it's called a "Dead Nazi." 1 part peppermint schnapps, and 1 part Jagermeister. I asked him what it was like, and he said that the two nasty tastes together canceled each other out made for a rather sweet tasting concoction, which I found kind of odd.

I've never been out of my head drunk. I've been fuzzy vision dizzy as well poor decision making drunk but I've never reached the point of actually forgetting the pervious night.

ooooohhh--
My friend Reno sent me an email wishing me a merryChristmas. He misses my cousin and me a lot and I guess I've agreed to come back this Agust for 2 or 3 days.

Such a sweet guy. He's learning English just so he can talk with me--
and I'm a bastard, cause I don't really have energy to learn any French.

If you remember, Spanish is our between language. My first languag is English, and his French.

American are quite the tippers, we don't generally give tips, and if we do, we give coins.
That's why Brazilians say we're cheap.

here in the states some jobs, like waitstaff, can be paid far below the minimum wage because of the expected amount they make in tips..that way restaurants can keep their profit a bit higher. so, if you skip a tip on a waitress, she's still going to be taxed on an expected 15% tip for that meal.

so even though minimum wage is $6.00 an hour in your state, you may only be getting $4.50 an hour as a waiter, because you're taking home so much money in tips each night. if you don't declare your tips, you will still be taxed at 15% of the total sales that you had, so if people stiff you, you're screwed.

either way, to my point, ski instructors do make more than minimum wage, but a tip is always a nice thing, especially for the kids instructors. We may look young and probably aren't as experienced, but we do a shitload more work than the other instructors. We have far reaching responsibilities for the kids in our care, and I come home dead tired after work every day. So, we like tips.

for people not from the states, the idea of tips is weird because they may be used to tips being included in bills when they pay for meals or other services, so I understand why people may not tip...but sometimes I want a giant sign outside the lodge that says "TIP YOUR INSTRUCTOR!"

hey seven, want an aver-Christmas project for your students? ;)

You get free tickets because of your job?

sort of.

We get this little laminated card (we call it a chit card) that has little spots where you can use a hole puncher on next to "free' and "$10" tickets, you get five each (and if the boss ladies like you, you can get 5 more $10 tickets). but you only get the card after a year of working and you had to of worked at least a certain number of days the season before (like, for a part-time instructor like me, I had to be there at least 30 days last winter [I actually went around 55 times last year])

I hate ALL of you sleepy people.

I don't sleep.

For example, for the past week, I haven't gotten to bed any earlier than 2AM, and some nights as late as 4AM. I get up at 7AM to go to work.

That means I get 3-5 hours of sleep A NIGHT, and that 5 hours IS ON A GOOD NIGHT. I normally leave my house and don't see my own home till bed time, either, so NO DOWNTIME. I'm basically on full tilt 20 hours out of 24. And that's WITH 30-90 minutes of intense aerobic exercise a day.

Basically, I go to work, work out till I'm dead tired, take a shower at the gym, hit the band house, rock till 10, socialize till 2, then right back to bed again. That's why I'm only on NG on the weekends or when I'm off of work. I'M THAT BUSY.

But people say I'm really fun to hang out with. So fun, in fact, my Cousin Joe paid me 30 bucks to go to a show with his girlfriend and him. That's 10 for my cover, 10 in cash, and another 10 for my meal after the show. And I gave him some promotional tshirts of my band that I got for free out of guilt.

BTW, at church I've decided to make a diorama of origami people in a church. I've gotten really good at making tiny paper men and putting them in various poses (true origami style: one square, no cuts)

Needless to say, I have a hard time empathizing with other people, and I rarely feel like a human being. My life experiences just don't line up with anyone else's.

I'm off for Minnesota tmrw morning to see the (ex)stepmom and my little sister.

There was a big storm system all through the area we will be traveling through, so hopefully the roads will be okay.

Should be fun.

So, in my absence, I would like to wish ALL of you a very merry Christmas! Cheers!

Jesus-- that does sound bad, but-- it's not as horrible as it sounds. If it's leaving the toilet "pink"-- then it's a step up towards better news, I guess. Because black stool means the tear is inside of you. Yours is just outside.

The only things I know that can do this are:

1.) Rectal tears, and they could be done physically (*insert mandatory gay joke*) such as wipping too hard, or even diet or stress.
2.) Veneral warts
3.) Hemmroids.

If I were you, I would be VERY gentle about going potty. And eat fiberous foods. A big bowl of oatmeal in the morning... vegetables and fruits through out the day-- and even a glass of metamucil at night will "clean" your insides. Meaning, you won't need to be so vigorious about wipping. Also, you may have "acidic stool" (I'm not sure what's its actually called, I just know that stool can be out of Ph level. That can also cause fissures.)

And going to the doctor if you were really concerned...
Right now, you should do stuff to eleviate stress and eating healthy foods (or, at least puting extra bulk forming fiber supplement such as metamucil or store brands...)

Oh yeah--
running does fix your digestion too.

Also, on a whining note, what the hell? My presidential bid in the '07 elections for the State of Court Jester Award seems to have been foiled. Did I receive a censorship vote? Was I punished by the electorate? Why's some lame-o beating me? Is it because of all the jewtalk? Throw me a bone here, people!

Just got done with a wonderful family tradition, the annual viewing of the muppets christmas carol. The muppets just suit christmas.
