I'm making tacos with smashed potatoes... (my favorite).A bit heavy... but for thanksgiving, whatever.
Basically, you smash up potatoes... and just add some cilantro and chicken bullian and cotija cheese.Fold some up on a tortialla, and pan fry them.
Better than mashed taters, I think...
Oh dear jumping Jesus... That must be a delicatessen... What is the taste of cilantro, exactly? Something in the line of perejil, or more like albahaca?

Everything smells good upstairs, and I am in the basement alone, trying to write a research paper. It sucks. They're playing Rock Band over my head. :(
But that's grad school for you, and in a little while they will set the table and I will have turkey.
He followed me home, can I keep him?

Albahaca ("albaca" for us...) is nothing similar to cilantro. (It's "basil" in English, folks...)
Well... for me at least, perejil is very similar to cilantro.
So if I'm gonna make a comparison, it's gonna be something similar to perejil.
Anyways, I'm making a second turkey... a few unexpected people are coming. Friends from Santa Clara University.
The roasted turkey is way to small for all of us, but we got a second thawed out turkey from my aunt. So, I cut that up and I'm boiling the pieces right now. I brought some really high quality chocolate mole paste from Mexico City that's really great.
When I told my friends, they were like... "Turkey with chocolate????"
So, they're eager to try something new.
I don't think you may have tried mole-- but, depending which region of Mexico you're from-- is often a sauce made with chocolate, chilies, and several kinds of herbs.

Ehhh, too bitter for my tastes.
I have, however, found a little something: Lawry's 30-minute Marinade Baja Chipotle with Lime.
Goes on EVERYTHING, even mashed potatoes. I am addicted to it.

Mole should never taste bitter...
It should be sweet, savory, fragrant, and delicious.

I think that was the best game of scrabble I've ever played. 393 points after final score adjustment, and two seven-letter words.
In retrospect, I let them get away with throwing a "W" on top of my "rapines" but I wasn't paying close attention because it was a timed game.

That actually sounds pretty good. One of my co-workers suggested taking shredded turkey and sauteeing it in a pan with butter, then pouring on Frank's Red Hot Sauce and letting it simmer for a while... I'm getting paid tomorrow, so I'll definitly be getting some Frank's to try this out with.

I love the smell of fresh cilantro, to be honest. It's one of those things that's hard to describe if you've never had it, but it's usually a key ingredient in fresh tomato salsa (both in the dry "pico de gallo" and wet varieties).
I need to make a shopping list for tomorrow... I'm getting ideas. Spicy turkey burritos with pico dip and chips...

PUH-REECH IT BROTHER!!!

I know some of you are sitting back reading this going, "Wait... Proteas likes Mexican food? wtf?" I can't help it, it's like kryptonite to me. I don't like the way the illegal immigration situation is being handled by our government, but that doesn't mean I hate the people, the food, or their culture (although parts of the culture could use a bit of work).
I just wanted to make that clear, because it's kind of felt like my relationship with fli has been strained as of late because of this. I don't you hate you, man, I don't hate anyone on this board. I could strangle a few of you on occasion, but I don't hate anyone.
On a different note, I got home at around 10:45 last night. I could have gone home earlier, it turns out, but I wasn't physically able to because I was out on a delivery run with one of the drivers. We got back to the store and there was a grand total of maybe 8 people there, most of whom left as I did, everybody else had been long gone since about 9:30. Midnight my ass... although it was about midnight before I feel asleep, and I've been walking around drowsy all day long. Thanksgiving at Grandma's house did not help matters much.

There's M-Bot,which is the actual review bot that goes through the portal and deletes movie reviews that have fallen through a quality threshold, then there's Mbotwho is simply a twerp with to much time on his hands.
I will assume you're reffering to the latter... in which case, just go into your pm inbox, click on "Block List" and add his name when it comes up. Or just simply click "block sender" inside the next pm he sends you. Tom and Wade have already been notified about him, now it's just a matter of time.
------------
Also, never underestimate the power of a cheap mill file when it comes to sharpening knives. I was working on a knife this evening when I realized that the edge the manufacturer put on the knife was at a higher degree angle (30 degrees or so) than what I was trying to put on with my lansky kit (17 degrees), so my effort was for naught. Out comes the old mill file to grind a low angle on the blade... and after about 5 minutes of work, I actually had raised a wire edge on the knife (a paper thin knife edge where the metal will fold over and actually snap when you first use the knife, usually a sign you've sharpened a knife past the point where you should have). So now I have to grind on it some MORE with my lansky kit to get i back to the point where it should be... lovely.

no it was M-bot (come to think of it, i already blocked the other guy) but i found it odd because i was able to reply to his messages and the html for the text was wrong. and receiving 5 delete notifications in short order is pretty strange too.

There's not much I can do if the actual M-Bot is doing it, the moderation staff is not immune from m-bot's sometimes erratic behavior. I'd say contact a review mod for help, but I have no earthly clue who the review mods are anymore...
