People who have made a name for themselves with stupid, pointless posts, like the recent influx of General Board rejects, are discouraged from posting in this, simply for the fact that...it's not the purpose this is meant to serve.

Regulars...by regulars I mean people like Nemesisz (whose contributions to this forum can be debated, but his counter-debates are well-planned and structured, and he just has that politician's personality), Ted Easton, Spike J. Wolfwood, Freakapotimus, Slizor, TheEvilOne, D2K Virus, JLop985, Karasz, MySecondStar...people like that. If I left your name out, I apologize.

Most regulars know who they are, and if you think you're one of the people with respect around the boards, just check your signature. Most people with the Politics Crew or League of the Militant Godless badges in them are respected enough to bear them. Basically, this is just a hang-out thread for people of intelligence and opinion that need a quick break from "debate" or have something non-political to discuss.

So I've been thinking of joining the Something Awful forums. I mean sure, everyone in there is a fat fuck with Asperger's and no life, and mods are fascist agents of death who will banninate you for no reason at all, and you have to PAY for it, but I haven't seen a single ad-hominem in the entire 5 pages of po-li-tics I've skimmed thorugh so far, and there are no "omg bush is dum"/"i het towelheds"/"communism is good, fo reel, it just hasnt been implemented properly yet" threads, and people in general actually seem to know what the hell they're talking about.

Fuck is not prohibited. People use "gently caress" voluntarily and as an inside joke. If you're seeing it in every post it's because there's a filter on what non-members can read, I don't know if it has a profanity filter or not.
