I just don't see how it's really showing us as ignorant if you have a fuzzy picture of a spire and say "I was in DC".
You're sort of pushing on the edges of just being a cheeky tit.

They think schools are making kids fat. Well, it's the parents. Kids only get one meal at school, they get the other 2 at home + snacks. So in reality, what they may eat at school is almost nothing compared to what their diet may be at home.

My mother and stepfather rented a camper van and drove around New Zealand for like a week and a half. They brought back this really heavy dense black sand. And I mean black sand. It was cool.

Don't worry, sweetie, I'm 7 years older than you and I never go anywhere really. I haven't got a passport, I've never been out of the country, and most of the trips I've taken have been with family or very close to home on my own.
Maybe after I finish my master's I can get my passport and go somewhere for a little while. I have a forced break between the MA and the PhD, so maybe then...

I'm not much for singing in public anyhow....
I was in the grocery store today, getting some lunch for work, and for the second time I heard this godawful muzak version of "Angels" by Robbie Williams. This version was sung by some whiny chick singer, and it had a really bad soundboard background, where the original is sung very nicely and has beautiful piano backing. Grr.

Ok, thanks to that spammer this isn't a double post. That cover of Angels was done by Jessica Simpson. She dosen't so much cover songs as she does belt them out so people will assume it's meaningful. That and pouting through the video

Meh, I never left the country until my school trip at the tender age of 17. And even then, the days that were supposedly meant to lose my virginity were spent vomiting in the bathroom of a Barilochean hotel due to shitty chocolates and mayo went bad.
Going places is overrated.

God this is depressing... I just opened the curtains & it snowed last night.
Looks like 5 or 6 inches of the damn shit.
Bloody weather man said it was going to be rain with a possibility of snow changing back to rain.
The only good thing about it is, I don't have to go anywhere today, & I've got lot's of wood for my woodstove... I suppose that's sort of a good thing.

Its more of a nightmare Seven as opposed to a dream.
Trust me your better off in the warmer climate.
The roads are very trecherous (my girlfriend needed to use the 4 wheel drive to ge the truck up the driveway)
We live on what we call secondary roads the Main roads & highways get attention from the Snowplows & Salt trucks (we don't get salted, to many dug wells in the area could be affected)
So its cold & wet, slippery and not very pleasent at all.
Here's a shot out the kitchen window down toward the Shubie River

Am I alone in wondering why, ever 11/11, the BBC reports on remembering the war dead like it's news, rather than what it is: an annual event. It's not as if they report people celebrating Christmas as a headline news event, is it?
Or is it there's no news today?
