Tonight I broke my Chinese takeout dry spell. My fortune cookie read:
"A handful of patience is worth more than an armful of intelligence."
And oh my god, am I full. I may not eat the rest of the weekend.
Oh, and Seven - I made hot chocolate from scratch the other night, super rich with whole milk and a dash of cinnamon. Loads of marshmallows :) It's like pure undiluted happy.

I ate like 3/4 of one, lawl.

The image of a 5yo learning to roast marshmallows in a bonfire comes to my mind.
A few moths ago, a cadny store was opened downtown, and I got the chance to buy marshmallows. I roasted some, but since I live in an apartment, I used a burner instead of a bonfire, and a fork instead of a stick.

That's not something my grandmother would have done at all. If it didn't have eggplants, she woudln't cook it. And trust me, there's A LOT of things that were done by that woman using thousands and thousands of eggplants.

Normally I would splash a little Bailey's into my hot cocoa, as well, but I picked up the ingredients on the way home from a late evening class, and the ABC store was closed. No liquor for Sarah. And all I've got around is expensive whiskey, which a) probably wouldn't be that great with chocolate, and b) is so nice I would hate to waste it on hot cocoa.
Not a coffee drinker, myself. My dad, on the other hand, loves Irish Coffee more than is probably healthy. He uses the expensive stuff, and really nice coffee as well. I remember him and my mom discussing it, and she asked, "Do you use a whole shot in it? That seems excessive." My dad replied, "Heck, a shot? How much is *blurp*?" Meaning, pouring until the bottle makes that sound.
My dad is hardcore.

Bought a 3lb container of Folders at Costco for the year. Don't plan on finishing it all, but....never know.....

Amazing to see how different even simple things can be between regions. We call em blackboards or chalkboards.
If a class is lucky enough it'll have a whiteboard instead (those digital projector type ones are sweet).

yeah, grades are out of 10, 7 being the pass grade in secondary school, and 4 in college, but it's harder to get a 4 in college than a 7 in Secondary School :\

Seven, New Zealand has some major ski resorts, so the mountains can get cold like snow...
I went to church tonight. My dad was there with his confirmation class and he was very happy to see that we had gone on our own accord. We even gave $7 at collection. (typically we donate $2, but we haven't gone all summer on account of work)
Either way he was so happy that he took us out to dinner after. We went to a Mexican place. My father and my fiancee both poked fun at me because they hate my favorite restaurant; a Caribbean/Western/Cajun spot, and when given a choice I typically would like to go there...so when asked where I would like to go, since nobody wanted to make a decision, I said a mutually acceptable Mexican place.
I had a burrito. It was good.

I took a five-hour nap today, so that's what screwed up my sleep schedule. I've been tired from work. I'm doing seasonal stuff at Target. I work "softlines," which is the carpeted area (shoes, clothes, etc.) and hop onto the register if necessary. Yesterday, we had FOUR BUSES from Canada show up. It was absolutely crazy.

I've been up till like 4am every day since Wednesday night (or Thursday morning) and I keep sleeping in until 2pm...
well, maybe this extra hour of night will do something
also...how awesome would it be to live on a planet just a bit further away from the sun or perhaps just a bit slower at the turning so that you got really long nights..like really fucking long 10 hours of real night life...The ravers would love it. I'd be the perfect night owl then...because my tendency to stay up all night is really worthy of a night job...stupid learning and real jobs being during the day...

Caffeine stays in the body for 6 hours, if you drink it at night, you may fall asleep, but you'll be unable to fall into REM sleep, your brain won't be repaired.
That's why I only drink coffee/energy drinks in the morning, or in the afternoon :)

awesome legs (the type you see on soccer players) but with an disproportionately developed upper body. I've been doing push ups lately. I wish I could get my legs better because I realize that I do use them all fucking day. But thus far the ankle weights (which make crunches punishing) and the thigh master have yet to yield results. I don't want to look like one of those typical muscle freaks who lets their legs rot away. I've got enough bad weight on me now to keep that from being too apparent but still results would be nice.

Gyms are bad for me: I get a rush of endorphins and get competitive half the time, and damn near kill myself in the process - so I'm surprised I don't have at least 40 England caps and seen as the lynchpin of the Blackburn midfield, as that's what England fan s usually term as "passion".
No wonder we're useless at football if aggression and running around a lot is apparently "passionate". Come to think of it, it's miraculous the birthrate is increasing...

Also on eBay, I find myself wondering how many of the phones for sale were stolen before they were listed, but that's not important right now.
