I got my first credit card this spring, it's a Bank of America-issued George Mason University Alumni Association Visa. The limit when I first got it was $1000, and after six months of on-time payments it was upped to $1500. It's interest-free for the first year, I'm not sure how much I'll use it after the rate goes up.

Surprisingly, no.

And tonight in one of my classes we spent quite a long time debating Walt Whitman's sexual orientation. God, grad school is so fucking pretentious.

After some serious contemplation on what to do for my next NG related release, I've decided to take a shot at a game.
The idea came to me after randomly thinking of the hammers from The Wall.
First though was a platformer in which the character wields an oversized hammer to crush objects, and depending on the action going on I thought about playing a simple strum pattern on my guitar, and change either fret or chord to fit the mood of said action. (Boss fight, Em)
What do you guys think?

Crushing things with a giant hammer. I'd play it.

A LOT.
If you're going to use a credit card, then destroy that because student credit cards have a very steep interest rate versus other credit cards.

If you're going to use it... I would, maybe, max it out at 500 at most.

It's actually not as bad as all that. It's an alumni card, not a student card, so they're expecting people to have, like, real jobs and such. I don't think 13.99% is bad for the lower-end card. The "Platinum Plus" version has 7.99%.

Right now I use it like my debit card - never spend any money I don't have. I'll probably cancel it when the interest rate kicks in, not because it's going to be exorbitantly high but because I'm not overly fond of Bank of America.

my angry phone calls got me the use of my fucking parking lot back.

they knocked out those metal guiding things they had put up LAST MONDAY for the sidewalks that went in the way of our driveway (and a few other buildings) and about half an hour ago I started hearing clanking and pings outside and I looked and they had taken out the metal and were putting some sand there to bring it to the height of our driveway and the curb.

though, I have yet to receive a phone call from them, but at least I got my way.

Since I maxed out the $300 limit on my capital one card last month, it seems like I've been getting two credit card offers every week since. This is not fair in my opinion, because I had to co-sign on a different credit card with my mother and share her credit score before I could even GET a capital one card.

Also; Twisted Pictures in association with LionsGate is coming out with.... Saw 4. There's also talk of a Saw 5 and 6 on the page... so apparently I was wrong when I ventured a guess after watching Saw 3 and saying there was no way they could POSSIBLY make another Saw after killing everyone including Jigsaw off.

Maybe I got the hook up, or maybe because I used to be a banker... but I've never paid that high before. I will tell you, my two rarely used alumni cards from SCU and SJSU is a whole lot lower...

And I always call in like, every 3 months, and ask them to lower it down the rate with whatever special offer they got.

Most of the times, they do it.
Other times, they don't do it... but, so what?

It doesn't hurt to ask.

hurray. my snake is no longer a picky little bitch

as I type she's eating her first frozen mouse.

I'm excited because I really don't like the idea of having a live rat anywhere near me, and I'm also sick of buying a new mouse every week. Frozen I can buy in bulk! and they are cheaper and healthier for her too.

Last winter she had an infection in her mouth and a live mouse took advantage of it and attacked her (she refused to eat) and so she stopped eating for over a month. We tried frozen after that (of course) and the mouse that attacked her was promptly given to the cats.

Either way, we had to move her back up from pinkie mice to adults and now she's an adolescent she's going to start growing quicker (she shed last night, her last shed was only a month or so ago..which she used to be a month and a half to two months between sheds).

well, I was afraid she wouldn't eat it so I only got one frozen mouse and didn't feed her on time this week (she usually eats once mouse once a week...soon she wont need to eat so often) so she's a bit more hungry (thus more willing to not only look at the cat hungrily but also to eat something she's not quite used to)

she took well to it, but now she's running around her cage, not because like my fiancee she wants to burn the calories but because she's still hungry. So, next week she gets 2.

I'm.... soooo... tired.
Done a rush photoshop job for a woman whose husband died. She wanted several pictures restrored and put into an album for individuals to take home.

There was like... 100 pics per each set, and some of the work was just massive.

All I got to do now is wake up early, print them up, and get some help with the organization.

This is a very weird request, but I guess it makes the best gift at a funeral.
But, at least where my parents are from, you're not suppose to have mirrors or photographs or any depictions of that person during the funeral. At least, not until the person is buried.

I remember because I brought a lot of copies of my grandparents portrait when they were 18 years old. I wasn't allowed to bring the copies to my uncles and aunts, even if they asked for them, because my aunt was afraid to have the pictures near my grandma's body.

Now, time or sleep.

That's odd, Fli.

I haven't been to a service where pictures weren't a part of it. And now that my grandmother just died, we need to get pictures-not only so they can fix her up, but for a mural.

Tiring stuff.
