First... thanks all.

Any thoughts.
What's wrong with the one you've gone?
I don't have an official church (well, duh...) But members know me in the Guadalupe one, St. Patricks, and the one on 4th street.

Terrible for the joints, as well as other areas. Let's put it this way, I haven't met a 40 year old breaker yet, and haven't met a "retired" breaker past 30 who didn't have arthritis, bad knees, wrist problems, or back problems.
26. And I'm on NG. Mmmmmmm.
I'm 21 and I'm watching cartoons. Big deal.
There are others on here older than you. NG even has it's own Ph.D student right now....
We're all kids at heart, NG is just a bigger sandbox.
Adulthood is just the life of a large child, with a few added intricacies.
All the basic rules still apply; play nice, share your toys, and put things away after you use them.

Go for it. It's always fun to see how other Church's do things, regardless of where you end up taking "residence".
If you can find one, check out an Eastern Orthodox church. They sing almost the entirely of the mass, and if the priests have good voices it's a rather enjoyable experience. At least the Serbian one I went to did that (Serbian is a pretty language to listen to fyi).

Oh, and when he died, some woman on TV mistook him with Chespirito.

Watch out for the incense, though. My mother said that she never followed her parents' Orthodoxness because as a little girl all she could remember was getting a big cloud of smoke in her face coming from "a big bearded man waving around a metal thingie".
Those churches are pretty awesome though, particularly if they're on the fancy side.

OK. I'm pissed off now
last monday a note was posted on our front door "sidewalks are going in, you wont be able to use your driveway for 48 hours sometime in the next 3-5 days"
well....they put up some metal guides and 2x4s on Monday of last week and haven't done anything to the sidewalk since. so we have been unable to use our driveway not for 48 hours, but today is the 9th day in a row.
We haven't even had a drop of rain in two weeks (this whole project they're doing started in JULY and they manage to waste the driest three months of the year NOT FUCKING WORKING ON IT).
Yesterday they were repaving the street with another layer. I called the public works phone number they posted on the notices they keep giving us when they do shit and it rang and rang and rang and finally I got a fucking answering machine. I stated my opinion, left my name and number...No call back from them.
Today I left for class and came back and noticed not one fucking thing has been done at all on our street, in fact I don't think anyone came to work today(oh, yeah last week...they only showed up to work on the street Monday and Tuesday, so it wasn't even as if they were busy doing other things on the street...they just didn't show for work)
I'm sorry...but is the new weekend Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday?! I didn't catch that memo!
so, I called again, got the answering machine again left my name and number again
it was something along the lines of
"Hi, I left a message yesterday regarding the sidewalks on ____ street. nobody has called me back. Um.. nobody even showed up to work today, You guys set these guides down last Monday and haven't done anything with the sidewalks since. You were paving yesterday. If there's a break down send somebody over and take the guides out so we can use our parking lot; there's no parking around here!"
If I don't get a call back tomorrow, I'm calling every goddamn number at the town offices until I speak to a person..and god help that person.

but why?
you would just only reinforce whatever rebellious and or angsty feeling that kid may have against the rest of the world.
Plus, it's denying them their identity, which would further compact their problems.
Just... ignore them, rollie your eyes if applicable, and then try to maintain or introduce positive elements to his or her life.

Three steps to good parenting
1. Find out where sarash silverman lives
2. tell the "leave britney alone guy" where sarah silverman lives
3. be emotionally suportive while maintaining structure for your own kid.

The emo-ish bitchy identity is not befitting of anyone. I'm particularly bold and quick to react when there's something that presses the wrong buttons so if and when my kid went all apeshit emo on me I'd have to do something rash. Don't ask me what since I dinnae have chillins yet. Here's a possible list of considerations though:
a: take him to a strip club
b: take him hunting
c: drop his ass in the middle of a forest with nothing but a swiss army knife and a survival book so he can bitch at mother nature and not at me
d: smack him one right in the kisser
*shrug* s' what my dad would have done... and I turned out fine! :D :D :D ... >.>'

what identity? If my child is trying to tell me that he has it bad...than he needs to see life from a worse viewpoint.
he doesn't like my rules? how about a military autocracy? he doesn't like the things I say he can watch on TV? how about no TV? He doesn't like I call him a fat pussy loser? how about rigorous physical exorcise?
where else can I legally provide such services for my child without being arrested for imposing myself or for sending him to Sudan?

I go by the Sith's "rule of two": one master card and one americanexpress apprentice, no more and no less. But seriously though, the rule of thumb is just 2.
My logic behind the rule of two is if one is not taken some place you can use the other. Then there's always cash, but that comes with its own issues... i.e. laundered money, robbery, no credit, etc..

You gain credit by paying bills too.
I have only one credit card. It's for the Jewelery store I got my fiancee's ring. I paid it off and canceled the account last month.
My fiancee got a credit card with a $200 limit. she hit that limit once or twice....
then the fuckers upped it to $500 and now she's always up in the $300-$400 range. she pays her bills on time...but still.
I don't like credit cards and with the mortgage market in the US going belly-up, the whole credit industry is starting to piss it's pants and one day the next bill will come in with a "oh, by the way your interest is now like a bazillion percent (heh, firefox says "bazillion" is a word)

I have no idea where my limit is, got close to $2000 once :s I just pay the bill in full when I get it. I didn't mention ways to keep your credit score up because I assume ya'll know them already. But now that you mention, yes paying your bill is the no.1 way of maintaining a good credit score, others include, pay as much as you can not just the minimum, don't cancel credit cards. Yes when you cancel a credit card it hurts your credit score, so the more cards you sign up for, the more you will have to cancel. Also, make sure you know if your card has an annual fee (like capital one cards) because even if you don't use it, they'll still get you every year with that and it'll damage your credit score. Speaking of the score, I've no idea where min is *shrug* and I could care less, as long as I know I pay my dues.

My fiancee has horrible credit, I have almost none.
She has that credit card (it's the only one either of us have right now) and she has a car loan (she could have paid in full...but wants to improve her credit). we pay all of our bills on time (usually ahead of time and her card if she can't pay all, I pay the difference for her)
I try to keep my bank account at or above what is needed incase neither of us have an income for a month or two.

Credit cards aren't evil...
You just need to know how to use them and when to bring them.
If you're an impulsive buyer, then leave it at home and bring it with you when you have a planned expense.
I'm not an impusive buyer, so I pretty much bring my credit card everywhere I go.
