I'm not sure whether to like what Capital 1 did to me or not.
I had my card up near its max, so I made it a point to pay the whole thing off.
I did that several months later & when I got my bill, they had raised my limit to double what it was befor... I didn't even ask for it & I sure as hell wouldn't want to be into a credit card for that much cash, even if they have some of the lowest interest out there.

When you need it, its like no way, when you don't its like have a bunch more...What's up with that?

I'm thinking of taking a cue from the guy who wrote the Scary Sharp article and making a few wooden hones that I can wrap in automotive sandpaper and use with my Lansky kit. I've just got to figure out what exactly I would use on the underside of the hot between the sandpaper and the wood to establish a dead flat surface... surely a glass cutter wouldn't work with me on that, would they?

The basic idea behind the Lansky Knife sharper system is that the knife is held in place by two clamps, and then a hone (with a guide rod attached) is moved back and forth across the kinfe's edge at a predetermined angle (set by a guide hole through one of the clamps, the guide rod goes through this to establish an angle). Since the trick to sharpening a knife is keeping a constant angle while grinding the edge, this kit makes it pretty much idiot proof. I've been sharpening up kitchen knives here recently to box cutter sharp.

BUT... the actual stones that do the grinding are carborundum, which if you're not careful (as I have not been) can actually become dull itself, and rendered useless. So I'm thinking of making a wooden block of similar dimensions to the hone (complete with guide rod adapter) and wrapping it in automotive sandpaper to sharpen knives with. The only issue would be the flatness of the wood itself, thus my pondering about affixing glass strips to the wooden hone a moment ago.

At least your employer will work with you that way. I was only able to get the day off for my grandather's funeral, then I had to work 6 or 7 days in a row. Not because my employer was being a douche or anything, we were just understaffed at that time.

Had a long work day...
From 4pm-ish to 4AM... just got home right now...

Was at a concert, set up my booth.... made a lot, but lost a lot too... today can't be called good, but after all the huge amount of shit I've trodded through-- I'm glad that I broke even with no debt to pay. 900 bucks, easily gone... 500 for the arangement, and the 400 toward the people who helped me.

I have to make more than 2000 bucks to get a decent wage, because I'm being milked everywhere I go...
but anyways... was starting to eat a tamale made with banana leaves, and then I put it down.

That's how I got fat in the begining... eating at odd hours. I still got the taste in my mouth, and I really want some more because I'm hungry... but, damn... I eat that and I have to run 2 or 3 days to counteract its effects. *sigh* I fear middle age once my metabolism will decrease...
