The only foreign programs we get are soap operas.... Colombian Spanish, lol.
And Argentinian versions of foreign shows, like "Who wants to be a millionaire"

sorry jose, thats too expensive for one million pesos...you can get one apple pie...or a small fries, though.
There are no more apple pies :(
Cheese burgers are 3 pesos, armed robbery in my opinion...
And my father used to earn a million pesos... and he was lower-middle class.

That's a good one, but I'm a big fan of the whole "we shall prevail... through the purity and essence of our natural... fluids" thing.
That was HILARIOUS!

Frenchy...?
My heritage is as follows; English, Scottish, Irish, German, and Melungeon indian (which is just a menage et troi of Portugese, African Slave, and Native American Indian). There's no cheese eating surrender monkeys hanging from my family tree, buddy, get your facts straight.
I also just learned that McDowell was reciting the madeup teen slang language of Nadsat in the movie, so that's probably where a lot of my confusion came from.
I on the other hand, have already blown up four garden gnomes.

It would be cool if I could get a hold of some ground aluminum, iron oxide, and magnesium for some thermite. Then we really could blow the damn thing sky high.

No, it was because of some young workers law. And yes, the set them on fire. I remember a poor Renault Clio on fire, he's so small and vulnerable!

Tempting offer... but no. We're still way under for rainfall this year, my dad has pretty much put the kaibosh on any fireworks plans this year "unless it rains a monsoon here shortly."
But if you're ever up this way for anything, let me know. :-D

Proteas is a stealth French.
And yes, the language of a Clockwork Orange was interesting and incredibly popular around the UK when the movie came out.
My uncle can still speak it fluently.

the new SAT rocks with higher scores than previous. i mean, you talk to your older brother and he's all like "i got a 1200" and you can be like "ha, i got a 1700".
(i got 1770 on my new SAT, a 1100 on the old, a 36 on the ACT. and I wound up going to community college)

If anyone lives near a scheduled performance of Video Games Live, I heartily recommend it.
Unfortunately the DC shows were among the last US performances. But they do this every year, so it'll be back :)

It is, because at that time they didn't have "Melungeon Indian" on the census forms, so they just put down "Black" because they could easily pass for it due to their being so dark complected.
To paraphrase Robin Williams, "Not even a german geneticist could have thought that one up."
But in every generation since that was introduced into my family tree, there's been at least one person who is dark skinned with dark hair (and looks every bit like a traditional native American Indian) whilst the rest of us are day glow north-western european white with brownish blonde hair. If I posted a picture of my mom posing with her sisters and brother, you'd think that one of my aunt's was adopted based on how dark complected she is....
*SAT/ACT Talk*
I feel really retarded compared to the rest of you on this matter. I think I got like a 900 on the old SAT, and a 21 on the ACT. But there again, I suck at written tests anyway, so that doesn't really say much with regards to mastery of the material. I can know the material forwards and backwards, but the minute you set a test in front of me I freeze up and go blank.
But congrats to the rocket scientists among us on such high scores. :-D
