worked for 9 hours
went to two different hospitals on account of my grandfather entering into the NY hospital system today right after my sister's high school graduation ceremony (which i missed. because i was at work)
went to applebees and argued with the waiter and my fiance about the whole sing song crap they try to pull.

This was the third year I didn't get mine. I guess we're not on the nice list anymore.

I hate that shit. You know what else I hate? The way you keep spelling fiancee with just one e. Are you marrying a dude?
Don't mind me, I'm a crazy English major.

you're right. I do try to write fiancee but i typically am writing so quickly that the second E is never hit in time, and since i have become dependent on my spell check, if it doesn't come up red while i'm typing, i typically don't correct it (btw, it currently has fiancee in red...it suggests 'affiances' 'affianced' 'affiance' 'defiances' and 'defiance')

When I got the front piece free from the box and cut the grill cloth with a box cutter (no way was I about to pry loose all those damn staples) , I was SHOCKED to find that the sicko who assembled the cabinent had gone back and filled in the screw holes with 1/4" dowel rods and cut them level with the surface before covering over the front with the grill cloth.
I don't get it, he mounted the driver inside the front, but then covered the screw holes with dowel plugs, but then covered them again with a grill cloth?
I don't know, I don't approve of anyone making their speakers impossible to modify. I'm just going to leave bare screws on the front for easy driver access.

Oh great, first I don't get invited to ANY Thai New Year celebrations, then I don't get an e-mail from Tom, despite the cool irony of sharing my birthday with Guy Fawkes and Thomas Jefferson...

That's pretty much the sum of it.
After I got the speaker out (turns out I could have just lifted it out the back without having to disassemble the whole cabinet) I was thoroughly convinced that Satan himself had built this cabinet just to fuck with whoever had to diasassemble it in the future.
I was this close *hold fingers a half inch apart* to going and getting a 40 of something cheap after work that night. That's how aggravated I was.

God bless you. :-D

Be merry, for the worst has passed!
From now on, the days will get longer the temperatures higher, until December, when the cycle starts again.
But that is far away, let us all be merry now!

there are these two mormon fellows who live in the apartment building next to the store i work at. I see them walking around town all the time, they look like their fresh out of high school at most, but despite them walking around in white button down shirts and ties ALL FUCKING YEAR LONG and looking all elitist sustainability style churchy folk, they have a newish jeta and a bike rack on the trunk!
also, every time i see them, i always think of befell (where is he?)...I also snicker at the thought that they're two mormon boys living together...and wondering if they're gay...because that'd be hilarious

they're quite serious as well...I've tried talking to them on the street a few times, asking how they were, avoiding the religion talk as much as I could. They were very caught off guard by being talked to.
Its worse when a girl does it! poor kids, there's a girl at work who loves to run up to them as they walk down the street and strike up a conversation.
a friend from camp once flirted with Amish boys at a market...made em blush like crazy
