In other news, these mofos are really starting to come together nicely. Sounds tests on them sound great, too. These cabinets can push out a lot more bass than you would expect from three inch drivers.
In terms of quality, they sure as hell outperform the Logitech X-530 5.1 surround speakers I have connected to my computer (which were more expensive than these new ones, mind you).

I had to take apart a home built speaker cabinet the other day at work, to salvage for parts. I don't know who put it together, but they were sick. Completely, and utterly sick.
The speaker itself was mounted inside the box to the front piece of the cabinent, which was covered over with grill cloth, then mounted to the box itself with about 8 screws. When I got the front piece free from the box and cut the grill cloth with a box cutter (no way was I about to pry loose all those damn staples) , I was SHOCKED to find that the sicko who assembled the cabinent had gone back and filled in the screw holes with 1/4" dowel rods and cut them level with the surface before covering over the front with the grill cloth.
I was about to get the speaker out without having to knock the dowels loose, but still... that was a half hour of work down the tubes.

My dad never ceases to amaze me. Today, he got a hold of this tom cat we have that's been running around attempting to kill some of our other cats, and with help from my brother, neutered said tom cat. It didn't seem to effect the cat any, it just gave them both this dirty look and sulked off.
Now I'm sitting here wondering why my father didn't volunteer to do this in the past, instead of letting my mother take our cats to the veterinarian and pay $70 to get clipped like that.

He neutered a cat? Did he use anesthesia?
In other breaking news:
I drove a car today. For about half an hour, I drove the Saab (actually, it's more like a Saabaru) 9-2X four door station wagon around a school parking lot and a road with more people on it than I thought. Didn't hit anything, and I didn't go over 20 mph, but still.
The thing that surprised me most was the fact that even at idle, the car moves without my foot on the gas. That was really, really scary. Otherwise, not so bad.

Nope. But then again, I didn't hear the cat squall either.
My dad used to castrate bull calfs when he was a farmer. So I guess he's got quite a bit of experience with it...

Ah yes, nothing like your first time behind the wheel of a car. Sweet, ain't it? ;-D

That's normal for any vehicle if it's in drive, and it's dead usefull for when you're navigating parking lot spacing and the like. Don't want to just hit the gas and run into the vehicle in front of you, you know?

If you can cut 'em off a bull, a cat should be no problem, I presume.
Driving the car was scary, though, I must say, I didn't hit anything, but I very well could have. 2,000 pound weapon and so forth, I guess.

I always wondered if when wolverine retracted his claws after cutting somebody if their blood got into his system. I mean I know he has the healing factor and all but that still can't be good.

I've got $25 dollars* that says you guys can't figure out what is encoded in the image below.
It's either a mailing address, phone number, or a URL.
Don't bother with Google image search. It will do you no good. All you need is a keyboard, mouse, and MSPaint. (The rest of the computer may come in handy, too.)
Two hints:
1: The mailing address, phone number, or URL encoded in the image belongs to a well known corporation or government agency.
2: ¥þ.
Deadline is 8:00 pm Monday night (NG time). I'll post the answer then.
*Must have Paypal to claim award.

Here is tonight's sunset, please enjoy.
I've been to a Dalí expositon today, and I like Spain even more now :)
Unrelated to old people or sunsets.....but do any of you guys have a webcam? I just got mine and installed it....but it has a mic, so it like overrides my computer's speakers, and it mutes my computer and I have to go in and unmute it....I am trying to figure out if there is a way for me to just not use the cam's mic.....
My headphones had a mic, but I couldn't use them because I had no recording software... :(
Start playing with disabling hardware in my pc-> properties, or see the software that came with your webcam.
In related news, by PC died electrified .... :'(!!!!!!

I like his idea of art coming from that time before you go to sleep, that mix of dreams of reality. I remember Borges stating, that the World was made of dreams.
And one of my many demencies is confusing reality with dreams before I go to sleep. And when I'm having conversations, asking my friends, did (some situation) happen or was it a dream?
