And yay for driver's permit.
Yay from my perspective, it should probably cause everyone else to have a deathly fear of driving.

its been a rough couple of days.
my fiance was fired because of some girl lying to the manager and her sending an angry text message to the girl. unfortunately, this pissed off the manager even more and they sent her home. yesterday they finally called her back in despite her repeated phone calls and left messages for all management she was under (she was working as a massage therapist and at the front desk in an upscale hotel) well, they avoided her like the plague and yesterday they called her in to "hear her side" you know, while the guy had the paperwork to fire her all written up and there in that room. called her a lier despite her telling the truth, spent a good half hour just tearing her apart for things she hasn't done and then finally made her sign this rather conspicuous paper work. unfortunately in our state's laws, they can do whatever they damn well want to her without any documentation (they mentioned documents about what she did, saying they could prove she was lying to them..but not once showed her [they can do that too]).
yesterday i was pissed, quickly called the state attorney general's office and left messages for a labor lawyer to call me back today. I spoke with one and she was very frank and explained there are absolutely no rights for an employee when it comes to a business firing them. they dont need to state any reason for it if they wanted, they dont even have to supply documentation of reasons why you were fired. basically, unless you are a due paying member of a pretty powerful union, you're screwed if you're fired in the state, unless of course you happen to be a black muslim woman.
either way, the man who talked to her treated her pretty poorly, which i've left a few messages with the owner of the hotel about, because legal or not, the guy acted like a fucking dick to my fiance. my aunt is good friends with the owners, and she spoke with one of the vice presidents of the hotel today about how my fiance was treated.
either way, it's all been one stupid fucking soap opera, if they had just said "you're fired" five days ago instead of saying 'don't show up, but don't make plans" she could have a job by now. so, she finally has closure about all of this and gave her resume to a brand new higher scale spa in an even nicer hotel (it was just built a year or so ago and basically hires firees from the hotel that she was fired from just to spite them). she's excited. i'm happy because she was treated like shit.
and just to put icing on the cake, the bitch on the rag manager who fired her just received two week notices from 5 of the 7 or so employees under her.

Ah, the disadvantages of pure capitalism...
Anyway, look at the bright side, she'll get a better job! :D

I just hope that the law works on your side. It seems like it should. I mean, I'm no labor lawyer, but, still, it doesn't seem like they had just cause to fire her.

There has been little activity in the Lounge lately, I think it's because Seven, staff and avie have taken their sexual behavior into the realms of real life, and have been very busy doing that.

I'm sorry, I'm in a weird mood today. I beginning to think someone is out to get me here lately... the other night I nearly choked to death eating dinner while watching "Last Comic Standing," and last night I almost got food poisoning from bad deli pepperoni. I'm sitting here now wondering what's going to happen today.

There's still enough mods not going in order to keep this place in check, so I wouldn't worry about it much. :-)
It seems like I remember last year, FUNK saying he was going to chop you up and put you in his trunk to ensure you went. lol
Oh yeah, I let it slip that I'm double jointed, and he made the comment about folding me up inside of a duffel bag and kidnapping me this year. I haven't be able to do fold up like that in a long time, due to my weight, but still... pretty funny lounge moment.
Nah, I'm in a "mood" as well.
I'm glad you're still with us. :D <3

All the forum moderators meetup in Glenside, Pennsylvania at Newgrounds HQ to hangout for a few days. They go out and party, play video games, get blitzed, that sort of thing.
Tom has put up a page somewhere around here with photo's from it last year...

No, I don't. And I don't, as seen a while ago with Grammer's C&C General's DVD.

Yes, two on ones, and making things personal are nasty.
You have to include the irrationality of making fun of a person for supporting the most popular sport in the world, too.

You could've said that instead of OMG NONE OF YOUR BUSINEZ!!!
And one time I made a joke about Argentina and you clarified....I think you spent a few posts clarifying.
You have ADHD and you want to beat Funes? 1, only 1
And I cooled down, because I thought you could not understood, you could not understood what is to fall from being considered as a serious challenge to the US, to disputing leadership with Brazil, you cannot understand hope and being deceived, you cannot understand looking north-east to your motherland? What is Argentinity, what is our identity? Europe? Latin America?
How is it that we had the GDP per capita of France, and now we have less than Portugal?
How can we have lost 3 decades? 3 decades! How come there is no model defined, there is no certain plan, there is no security, and in the meantime, people we kicked their asses in the past, like Chile and Spain, have progressed?
Knowing that "soft spot" Argentinians have, you wouldn't have made such comments. Then you wonder why there are no happy tangos. "The world has been and will be a piece of crap, that I know, in 510, and in the 2000 as well". Siglo XX Cambalache, Libertango, Uno that are tangos, not some made-up song you listen to in a Hollywood movie.
I decide to forgive, and let things pass, but you won't talk badly about me, or my country, or the people I love publicly, or even worse, with the help of a friend.
I feel better now :D
Sorry everyone, I promise I won't make such a drama in the future, this is the last thing I'll say on the subject.
*cools down*
