Visting will be the bull in the china shop (wow that was a crappily used metaphor). I dunno how I'll have the time to visit them.
Narrow it down to less than ten. Go visit all of those on the short list.
I've visited Tufts (not my fave) and Brandeis (I really REALLY liked it). Next up are UChicago and Northwestern. Problem is, all those are at least 2nd tier schools.
Then apply to no more than six.
I've heard that from a lot of people, and it's seeming more and more true as I look through what the common application plus the suppliments is, lawl.
Take this from someone who has both applied/been to college and worked for three years in a university Admissions office.
Admissions...? Office...?

Speaking of which, what admissions office?

George Mason University, in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I was a Mason Ambassador for three years, gave tours and staffed events and such, and I also had a paid job in the document center, sorting application materials and contacting schools and the like. I also did a short stint in the Office of Graduate Admissions for the College of Arts and Sciences, filling in over the holidays when they needed people.

Fall 2003-Spring 2006 for my Bachelor's in Arts in English, concentration in Creative Writing. Spring 2007-present for my Master's in Arts in Literature. Probably finish up the latter at the end of the Fall 2008 semester.
I'd be happy to discuss my experience, if you (or anyone else considering applying) are interested.

Well he is only a second cousin so it wouldn't feel too weird.

And it's only $37, I mean... hell, I'd pay that.
Assuming I couldn't find the camera so I could bludgeon someone with it, I'd pay it.
------------
My brother called in sick to work yesterday, in order to keep an appointment with a tatoo artist. They were running a special, "All the ink you can get in 8 hours for only $200." He got a punisher skull on his right bicep, a Korn Logo on the inside of his shin, and a Slipknot tribal "S" on the outside of said shin. $700 worth of ink, for only $200. Today, he's going back to work (on his day off) to show some of his co-workers his new ink.
Meanwhile, he's running his car on bald tires.
Am I the only person who see's something inherintly wrong with this?

1. As much as I like the punisher I'd be hesitant to get a tattoo with that much white in it. They still can't remove white right?
2. For all the band tattoos it would have been cheaper just to ger "mainstream" on his forhead. I won't pretend I'm the most alternative guy but I don't have a nickelback canadian style N on my back.
3. He's going into work to show off what happened while he was out sick.
4. The price of tattoos has exploded.

Folk's in my family aren't quite that bad, but it seems like I have met quite a few people unrelated to me that are that way.
But this is the first time in a long time I can think of whee I am in complete agreement with my father and mother on an issue. I keep thinking Satan's going to pop up any minute now wearing a sweater going "DAMN IT'S COLD DOWN THERE!"

He had the guy do shades of gray to make it look washed out, which I thought was odd... but then again, I didn't know that about white.

Understandable. He's even made the comment that he doesn't know what he'll tell his grandkids when they ask "Why did you have corn tatooed on your leg, spelled wrong?"

Yeah, and he jokes that I'm the dumb one. :-\
He keeps asking me when I'm going to get inked, because I'm the only one of my mother's four children who doesn't have any. I was contemplating one, but now that he's brought that up, might as well forget it.

My family's good with money, well some of them: my dad, his parents, and my mum's father too. My maternal grandfather used to do the books of the Army with only 7th grade done :)
He bought a house, and a car, and payed for her granddaughter's 15 yo party.
His son made the BIG mistake of taking a loan in American dollars :(
And my mum burns the money.

1st time is over, nil-nil so far. Since Boca won 3-0 the previous match, Gremio needs 4 to win the cup. But so far, Argentina wins its 22nd cup, if I'm not mistaken :D
but the most important thing is that Brazil loses >:)
Anyway, their clubs PHAIL.

I dropped a drawer at work on my foot.
You know, the usual cash register drawer thats reinforced to protect it.
It was also stock full of quaters.
I hope I didn't break it.
But a girl at work felt sad for me, so I got a kiss.
Wonder what happens if I break something.
