Here she is... holding a potrait of her father.
My grandfather was a mayor of her town, and he was in the opposite party. And he was actually a pretty good guy from what I heard from other people... who still remember him.
He was murdered by another political opponent, from the PRI if I remember correctly.
They think it was because he wouldn't accept bribes from the PRI.
I dunno how do I compare him... he's legendary in the sense of Abe Lincoln. "Honest Abe"... "Log cabin"... etc. People still talk about how he was born in a cave. (It's true, he was born in a cave during war.)

I think my crazy grandfather is trying to die, and he apparently wants to take my rats with him. It's 88 degrees Fahrenheit outside and 43% humidity, and he won't let us turn on the AC. He just doesn't think it feels hot (he has circulation problems). Well, it's supposed to get up to 95 today, with a heat index of over 100 degrees. My rats are in a nice airy cage in the basement, but it's already like 73 or 74 down there, and those little beasties can start to overheat around 77 or 78.
And I'm at work, so there's jack shit I can do.
Called my grandmother and told her they needed to hit the air conditioner ASAP, but her response was "I'll see what we can do." Which means she probably won't do anything for fear of making him angry. I don't want my rats to get sick, even if one of them did bite the everloving shit out of me this morning (I was clipping his claws for the first time, he panicked, not his fault).
My bf is moving in February and has floated the idea of me moving with him. If this kind of crap continues, I might throw all my commitment issues and bad personal history out the window and go for it.
How could you not have mercy on this sweet little face?
He followed me home, can I keep him?

Still, though, you wouldn't want one to stifle to death in the heat, would you? Rats have next to no way of cooling their bodies down. In the wild, they hide in the shade or dig in the cool dirt. In my house, they don't have that option.
When I left, they were already lethargic. I'm worried about them.

Go outside and run around in the rain. Then, go back inside, throw all your clothes in the dryer, and put them back on again as soon as they're finished.
Best thing ever.

After and endless struggle with my screwdriver, I have managed to fix it.
But I dropped one of the drawers from the PC desk, so there are lots of little things waiting for me to order me in the floor.
Maybe my father should move on his own...

eww...
"Snakes. Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?"
Anyways...
I like mice over snakes and rats.
I mean, I'm only typing it but I swear to god I feel there's a musky sweet smell that's heaving inside my nose, which I associate with snake rooms, and that's a total ploy of my mind. I even changed barbers recently when she used a cape that looks like snake skin (it's fake, it's a print... but I can't even stand to look at the patterns and scaley texture of a snake.)
When I used to work for retail, snake print was the fad for women and so snake skin wallets and skirts, no matter how trashy they looked, were what they wanted. I really hated anytime a girl would bring those type of items to me because I would feel disgusted for a long time after that.
The only movie which I have seen snakes was Indiana Jones. And that was back in the 80s... I never even got to see Anaconda.

Being scared of snakes is rational, though...
I bet an anthropologist could explain ophidiophobia.

We went to a workshop on science and there was a poster in the room of common Louisiana wildlife. There was a pic of a snake on the poster. She wouldn't sit down until the presenter removed it.
I turn my back against it...
but for me, I have in the past blanked pictures of snakes in my book with construction paper and tape.
And I remember I had biology and we were studying snakes... teacher brought out a fake one, and I went to the bathroom. And never returned for the rest of the lab. It didn't matter, I got an A in that class...

Yah, that's true. Though it depends on what sort of grade she'll teach, I mean, elementary school, probably not much to worry about, but if she's gonna teach AP Bio or some sort of anatomy class at the college preparatory level, well, yeah...

Yeah-- some fish are kinda cute.
More pretty than cute (like angel fish or clown fish...)
I've trained Dorian, the brown dove I saved over a year ago, to come to me.
It took some time... she's a nervous bird. (After all, she was on the verge of death--) But now when I make that "cowboy clicking sound"-- she sticks out her head to see if I have food, and if she sees it-- then she will either fly to my head or directly to the bowl.
She's so spoiled. Of my doves, she's the one whom I allow to roam in my room. Okay, the other birds too-- but mostly her. That's because she's very well potty trained. She uses only the bathroom or the bottom of her cage. Mind boggling, eh?

Moving is very tiring... especially if you use a Ford Fiesta.
My dad was sad... he said he felt like crying... and he had only rented that place for 18 months!

Happy Birthday--
Are you wrapped up in a blanket? Is it cold over where you live?
San Jose is wacky--
All the lovely rose seedlings I grew from seed were putting magnificant growths-- in the cool but generative weather. Then suddenly it became a scorcher... and it burnt all the tender growth. And now it's sort of cold.
