That's more of the "if you have to ask" clause in effect than anything else. ;]

JMHX told me it was 300.
Then again, he also told me that sleeping with a Regular automatically made you a Regular.

That I can understand. I do my best to eat healthy despite living here in the south, where anything that can be deep fried has been already, and there's probably a nice sauce to dip it in too... but I think I have a genetic predisposition for low cholestoral, which really aggravates people. Because as healthy as I *try* to eat, I usually wind up eating the same stuff everyone else does, and I still have low cholesterol.
When I told my dad that, he got shock and then upset. Because I told him the truth. Only reason why he was diabetic was because he didn't care what he ate... till it was too late.
Did he give you that whole scoffing "FUCK OFF!" lack-of-an-intelligent-response deal?
My dad has at least a partial excuse for having a high cholesterol count; he's a truck driver, and it's hard to find healthy food to eat at your usual truck stop, even though they DO have salad's at most of the all-you-can-eat truck stop buffets. My brother on the other hand doesn't have an excuse; he works at walmart, and instead of walking over to the deli to get a salad on his lunch break, he gets in his car and drives halfway across town to eat Mexican Food. Now I'm not bashing mexican quisine, but he does this on a daily basis. Do I really have to explain to anyone how unhealthy southern style cooking + traditional mexican quisine =/= good dietary habbit?

Ever seen those McDonalds salads, though? Blargh. They're ALL fat. I don't get how they can make leaves fattening, but they did. Chalk that one up to America. :P

Does anybody remember back in the day when Macs wouldn't let you name two objects in a folder the same thing, even if they weren't the same type of file? My Mac-using friend says they don't do that anymore, but I remember being exceedingly frustrated throughout my school years...My school district never used anything else, and it pissed me off.

Times have changed since then. Why would you need to do that, anyways? Macs got a huge makeover with OS X and now, regardless of what they were before (I still love Classic Macs very much) they are very pretty machines which are good for a lot of uses. Windows may have more apps but OS X totally rips it up in security and interface. Microsoft carbon-copied a lot of OS X features for Vista, and Vista still has many issues. The compatibility/gaming issue doesn't really exist anymore since you can run Windows on Macs now anyways so, woot for Mac!

Yet Mac still only controlls around 10% of the market and compatability with non Apple technology has never been one of thier fan favourites.

triple-entendre
For some people... "catching" comes natural. And for most of them, it first started out as, "I wonder how it would be like if..."
I was never intrigued by it... there was a point that I attempted when I was like younger. I was 17, first starting out. One of my boyfriends was an older Germen mixed gentleman in the armed forces. Talk about an Aryan Adonis: blonde, blue eyes, muscular, macho, hairy chest. After we were together for a month, he suggested that instead of hogging up "the bat" that I should try on the "catcher's glove."
That did not end well. He was way to advanced for me. I was like, "Sorry, LoL K'bye."
Some folks are naturals at it. I ain't.
Perhaps if that experiance turned out positive, I could be receptive. Maybe I could have been ambivilent to it. I don't know... Like I said. I was never particularly wanted to be a catcher.
Besides, it's mostly straight guys who are interested in catching.
And god, how I wish I could tune into that conversation and see that girl's reaction. "You want me to do WHAT?"

Everybody looooves Mike Jones! Everybody wants to be just like Mike Jones! Mike Jooooooones!!!
You can ride, all day long . . . but you'll never catch Mr. Jones! Ah-ha-hah-hah-hah . . . !
Seriously, what the hell is this guys problem? Almost every other word that comes out of his mouth is "Mike Jones".
Also, could someone explain this whole extended baseball metaphor to me? I gather that it has something to do with sex . . . .

Pre-OS X, Macs didn't use file-type extensions such as .jpg, .mpg, etc. Instead, they used embedded file-types. In windows, you could have lol.jpg & lol.gif, but they'd just show up as lol & lol, since windows hid the extension. So, you couldn't actually name two files the same thing if they were in the same folder in either OS.

Marketshare, pfft......
Are you talking hardware or software? Nevermind, you don't even have the right numbers for either.
As for this other statement... You're pretty much claiming that Apple doesn't support third party developers, a claim which is easily dismissed with even cursory investigation.
Grow up. If you want to talk about this in a serious fashion, then do some research, and come back when you're ready to concede points as well as make them. Till then, this is just a "no, you're wrong! no, you're wrong!" battle. A monumental waste of my energy.

and proteas, i had an amazing response to your question about white trash here in "ski slope country"
all about how factories went away like 20-30 years ago and the economy changing to the much lower paying tourism industry and basically because all the stupid fucks from suburban New Jersey are buying up everything for whatever the asking price is and totally fucking over the locals. so basically i was going with the whole economically depressed areas and some weird love of the confederate flag breeds white trash....that and like 3 generations of high school drop outs and teen pregnancies and the same trailer changing hands within the family eveyr other month
