Watching the special features on my Casino Royale DVD, it amazes me to realize that Honor Blackman is still gorgeous, forty-odd years after portraying Pussy Galore.
He followed me home, can I keep him?

Today was a a long day--
Did a nice job with a wedding although the "Bridzilla" just got to stop thinking that she could be a bitch just because it's her special day.
Otherwise,
her family were VERY nice. They offered me sweet potato pie, which I haven't tried before. It was... not great. But nonetheless, it filled me.
I'm just glad it's just photoshopping and no video.
She looked pleased when she saw them then and there on my computer.
But she got REALLY upset when I wouldn't give her a disk or pass a few over on a flash stick. No, no, no, no! First off, she didn't pay me. And I wasn't going to give her copies of the pictures without making them black and white with a watermark everywhere.
She looked very shifty, and her attitude was just plain horrible.
Once she buys the prints, she can purchase the actual digital archive and do whatever she wants with them. I'm not like most photographers who holds on to the digital.
But whatever,
I'm hoping that she isn't going to be a drama mama in the end.

Politicans are full of bullshit, and they use that to their advantage in order to pursuade large audiences of people they are really being truthfull.

I'm very flexible.
I tell them up front that I'm not a professional photographer, but I'm very good. Then I show them my portfolio and give them references if they want it.
I don't charge my the hour. I don't charge by the photo.
We make a WRITTEN contract, and in it, I write that we settle on a certain amount, and that I charge only for the job. For the actual printing, they pay seperately the cost to print whatever photos that they personally choose.
I stay for the whole event, and my lunch is to be either paid or made for me. And whatever it costs me to get to certain places (like parks that charge for enterance)-- They have to pay for that fee.
So, they get a real good deal with me. And since I don't ask for a deposit, they get real friendly with me. I've done real good results, and I've seen worse photo jobs that costed over two thousand dollars. And my cap is below 600 bucks. (Mostly at 500.) If they want the actual the jpegs, I charge them 100 if they want it. Which is a better deal than buying reprints through me.
One time, these couple tried to swindle me. They said they didn't like any of them, and they were especially fine pictures. They didn't pay me and I went home upset. It was an especially rocky time. So months went by and they suddenly want pictures, but at a discount price because it's been so long. I told them no. And they harrassed me every day and I told them they can have the pictures at the original price. No more, and no less. After all, I did a fine dandy job and I wasted all my day with them. Then they wanted to sue me, and I said they might as well so that I can get them to pay me. (I upheld my part of the contract and did a good job.)
So in the end,
They paid me and although they looked happy with the job, you can NEVER satisfy cheap people.

All day-- no formal hours. I come early to take pics of the girl getting ready. Make up. Dress. And all...
Pictures of the kids getting ready. With the groom, I take pics of him having fun with his friends.
Then I take posing pictures: looking outside of the window. Stuff like that.
Then I try to take spontaneous photographs of the family. Kids provide the best moments, IMO... Especially if it belongs to the bride and groom.
So. I'm gone from morning to sometimes 3 in the morning. Usually, midnight.
Hard work, especially if you're impatient. But it bought me my Mac Pro and nifty camera equipment.
Which in turn will help me get me more business.
I've even toyed with the idea of making my own business where it will offer jobs to high school students who are intersted in photography. A lot of these kids are full of creativity and since they are young and still experimenting, they can offer discount prices. The only risk the couples will have to take: getting a newbie photographer instead of a professional.
It's an idea I've had. Of course, this will be a sort of weekend job that's 8 hours at most.
It really depends.
There are lots of people who are hard to satisfy :)
Preach it, brother--
