Don't worry... There's a reason why it's called a "McJob."
I'm basically working at home doing photo restoration and photographing weddings.

Now with my new Mac... I'm going to save the money of editing of my own videos.

It's a lot of hard work. I work basically sunrise to sundown.
But the people especially love it when there's no limit of how much you photograph, or time frames. It's unlike other photographers who charge per the hour and per the picture.

With me,
I take a bunch.
Go home and delete the obviously crappy ones. Then they come here and pic out all they want. I get paid for the job (depending what we've agreed and WRITTEN on) and the price of printing up the pictures. I don't make any profit on making the pics, so they save even more.

I don't get a lot, because once the cold season comes... there's nothing, really.
But I bought my new mac from which I'm using right now with that money. I hope to recruit friends and family sometime in the future.

And it gives me just enough to spend something once in a while. Like my mom's new vacuum. God, my mom is odd... all my life she's been one of those women who wear the pants in the family ala Ms. Clinton mode.

Then a Kirby seller comes and she falls heads over heals for a dumb piece of equipment that can only suck up dust. Nearly 2K.... But I helped her persuade my dad, and they split the bill 600 a piece. I gave my mom 550 for her half, and so she's only has to pay 50 bucks for her Kirby Vacuum.

Soooooo...
Why not start a business at home?

I saw the movie The Prestige last night with my fiancee. You know those types of movies that are raved about for being the kind of movies with endless plot twists and a surprise ending, and you have to watch the movie multiple times to get it? This movie tries to do that, but it was sad... my fiancee and I were able to realize what had happened halfway through the movie. It was still well acted and all, but I wanna read the book now because it sounds better.

Also, I'm excited since I finally bought CSI season 1 :)

The good thing is that you understand the series better, and know the chronological order of it, the bad thing is that I had already seen most of the episodes.

No, I don't have the games, and I'd imagine that the current computer I am using wouldn't have the minimum requirements. But after seeing the screenshots and such that's been posted, I'm wanting my own copy

It might be fun to try a game where I'm not killing the people myself. Or better, a game where you're the killer and you have to realistically avoid the police. Parent groups would be all over that.

They kind of tried to do that with Postal, except in that case you had to kill the police.

Can do. I have one here where you're a comic book hero who kills with guns

one where you kill with guns in the old west

one where you were you kill with guns and you're in vietnam.

one where you kill with guns in the future

or if you like old fashioned stuff I have this one where you kill with swords. Tecknically you could kill them with a bow but it takes like 40 arrows to drop the guy and that's both innacurate and inconvienent

Did you ever get past that case on the computer game?

No :'(

Or even better, you're a CSI who commits murder, so you have to plant/modify/erase evidence in order to incriminate other people. You could also have the option to bribe policemen, other CSIs and judges.

Yeah, me too. I mean, the thing about being a mage.

I have decided that we need to create a game where your character can do all of these things at once. A cowboy comic book hero in vietnam who can travel to the future and is armed with explosives, a side sword, a k bar, a staff, and unlimited potions of mana.

oh, and a cloak of invisibility....

sweet....

Harry Potter Battlefield Vietnam 2142 goes to the Far West!

I'm basically working at home doing photo restoration and photographing weddings.

Our photographer ruined our reception. He took us off for some quick pictures and by the time we were finally done an hour later most of the quests had left. Also he was 90 years old, my Mom thought it would be neat if we had the same photographer that did my parents wedding. There's nothing like watching a middle aged man holding a camera to his eye yelling at his father to get out of the shot as he is straightening at your beloved's train on the most blissful day of your life.

In essence, don't be like that.

No...
I'm pretty much liberal in that my way is very informal... I take as many pictures I can possibly take (candid, possed, spontaneous, etc.) And then they pick them out. I don't charge by hours. I don't charge by photo. I don't charge if the reception or wedding is extended or whatever. I've always been cool with the people. I come dressed nicely... mind myself out of things (although it's hard to be NOT invasive when you have to take pics...) And I'm pretty good at making girls to laugh. For some reason, girls don't want to laugh... they make their "ugly photo face"-- which is pretty cold and rigid.

I'm down right corny, but hey-- I got some real damn good pics. Lemme email them to you to show you more or less my professionality...

Only thing that I insist in formality is the contract.
Some people don't want to write anything down on paper... just verbal. But I've seen enough People's Court to know that's stupid. I also make them pay for my entrance to parks and stuff like that because one time I had to cough up 20 bucks of my own money. And sometimes permits for photography.

It's more hard work than what I expected... but I have a sense of accomplishment, and though the jobs aren't that many-- it did help pay this 6k Mac. (Although I'm getting pissed at how I'm unnable to set up my wireless network, and the Airport Extreme is total bullshit in showing HOW to connect the damned thing to the router and computer...)

But... I won't be making any more huge expenditures for a long while seeing that I'm pretty much burned a hole in my pocket. (Until the next gig and a few more after that...)

lol...wow...talk about positive reinforcement.

I actually proved to my mom once that cracking knuckles doesn't cause arthritis and she said she knew...it really blew my mind o.0

In reality, a homeless man on the street would probably be a stabolizing force for Britney Spears.

haha...it's funny because it's true.

Also, I do believe stafff and I both spelled stabolizing wrong. :)

And for the record, Criminal Minds is WAY better than CSI.

haha, I'm supposed to be the succesful one, my parents say to my brother "See, you do things wrong, on the other hand see how your brother handled the situation." And I move uncomfortably in my seat and say "Ok, enough with the comparisons."

I got my dr00d to level 70 last Thursday, and yesterday did some battlegrounds to get my Insignia of the Horde. Now I'm sick of WoW for a little while, and I'm incredibly bored. Maybe I should get my hands on Monty Python's the Meaning of Life, or rewatch The Holy Grail. I need some classic Python entertainment.
