Ditto. I could honestly care less. I did buy Valentines for my students, because they're excited.
Other than that, I don't give a damn.
during that stage of life I liked getting garfield valentines. In retrospect garfield wouldn't give valentines to anyone but himself. Oh the naivete of youth.

I sometimes give out kiddie Valentine's just for fun. Last year I gave Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ones, and this year I bought a bag of mini Play-Doh Valentine favors and gave them to my coworkers (and JMHX, coincidentally).

I was gonna bring this back and sorta make it into some tradition... Last year's penny dreadful e-valentine's day cards...
But I'm having troubles with photoshop and I got so much readings to do.
My professor is a pernicious prick born with a strawberry shortcake silver spoon stuck in his ass.
Heaven forbid that I don't like whatever he's read or incultured. Anyways... I came back from the MLK library and talked to James Kelman. WONDERFUL man. Brilliant. Funny... The only thing that's imperfect is that I hate his book "How Late it Was, How Late...". Sure, I can see it's brilliant but it's utterly boring...
How did he become professor? Damn, he's so utterly different from my professor. (And other professors in general.) He's talked about growing up and writing in Glasgow as a poor and working class man, and damn it-- could there be anyone else in the class who could relish in watching my upper class snooty-nose professor squirm more than me???????????
I think not.
No, seriously. I love it when the poor get up in high places.

Meh, it never rains where I live, too much humidity. 24 inches seem to be a lot, how are you able to walk with that amounts of snow?

It's really not a lot of snow...24 inches would be bad if you already had another 3 on the ground which is supposed to be typical this time of year. But just two feet? That's nothing. You just have to do a little high stepping to get out to the mailbox. Or you could just drag your feet...its not like the snow is brutally thick.

I'm just happy it's finally snowing here. I'll be spending the day at the nearest mountain (screw classes) and hopefully I won't break something. If I do I'll send you all a picture of an e-cast to sign X-D

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day, even to those of you protesting it.
I wanted to buy you all something, but I am poor.
So I have this one bag of Valentine's suckers left over after making gift bags for my class.
They are cherry flavored and have bubble gum in the middle, for anyone who wants.
Although we celebrate the lover's day the 21st of September, I won't doubt in saying:
Me,me!
All you have to do is face southeast-south, let's say 157º 30' and throw them as far as you can. I'll be waiting with my sight fixed in the horizon.
If you want to avoid the V word, Happy Wednesday.

It's very strange to have so many mutants in one place. but I guess ever since world war three things haven't been the same. You probably don't even remember it though, all 45 seconds of it. You remember that? You remember when Carter came on the air and said "Thank you very much, you're on your own, Goodnight."
Used to play an alien, used to do the "Ne Ne Ne-Ne." Not that funny since they landed though. They weren't the little suckers we thought they were. They turned out to be 8 feet tall, black, and they were PISSED. And that's why I have to live here in this cave.
I remember lots of old stuff, I remember the great quake of '85, when all the people in California surfed to Denver.

Yeah, you kids, you shouldn't have come through the force field. About this time of night is when they send through the clones, and you got to get out before they do, but if you meet one... all you have to do to screw them up is turn sideways. And that over amps their vision monitors then I bring 'em in here and make juke boxes out of 'em. 'Cause I remember the days of old, I remember back to the days of Woodstock! You remember that? That goes back 80 years now... that goes back "Now let me tell you hi" Girls used to dance in front of the amplifiers going "I don't know." I saw some of the best minds of my time turn to mud there. But there was some spirits, some CRAZINESS. Some madness there..
So take care of yourself, sneak on out, but one thing from me to you. Yes. Stay a little full duce bozo. Keep a spirit of madness in you, just a little touch of it. Just enough so you don't become stupid. Just a little touch of madness will keep you alive, because no one in the world knows how to tax that.
There was an old crazy dude who used to live a long time ago, his name was Lord Buckley. He said a long time ago that "People are like flowers, and it has been a priveledge walking in your garden." My love goes with you.

After a run of 22 views and one response from some prick who did nothing but talk about his own incomplete work I present to the good people of the lounge
I sleep alone: to the tune of “I stand alone” by Godsmack
(bad ass instrumental)
I told you this twice before
No one fucks me
If I try to open up my heart will break
But not emotion or the random slut will touch me
Always feels it’s worst on this
Hallmark holiday
I sleep alone
At home
I sleep alone
I’m always trying, listening and poem writing
But no it turns out they don’t like that shit they say
I’m not shooting out my league. I know that I’m mortal
Always rested for the cartoons on Saturday
They’re reminding me, I’m ageing
I sleep alone
I lay spread out and lonesome
I am dieing for it
I sleep alone
Every try that I make at mating
I sleep alone
Not inside
I sleep alone
Friday night’s my time (Friday is my time)
And it’s always free (it’s always free)
Play games where I die (games where I die)
And tone up my body that I know that no one will see
Help myself to another long night of wide screen dvds
Fuck I’m lonelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I sleep alone
Yeah I’ve cried
I sleep alone
Feeling no one beside me
Alone at movies I sit
I sleep alone
Every chick just leaves me so jaded
I sleep alone
And then
I Drink alone
Because
I sleep alone
Fucking denied

You know, watching Bush stumble clumsily through the same speech over and over again wouldn't be so annoying if he didn't always call his press conferences during the price is right.

Pienso que usted dijo gracias.
I think that (formal) you said thank you.
Actually, I said To you, Miss
De modo que digo que usted está bienvenido.
Therefore, I say (fromal)you're welcome.
Actually, there is no literal translation to you're welcome, a way to respond to thank you woulb be "de nada" or "No hay por qué"
El día feliz de adora a amigo.
The happy day of adore a friend?
Did I do any of that right? I got out my little translator and everything...... lol
It was ok :)
