I AM A HUGE fan of the Japanese mini-series... Hana Yori Dango. It was based on the manga comics.

I'm not so much for chick-flicks and chicky shows that are on the WE channel... but H.Y.D, with its quirky dialogue and really lovable protaganist (and cute) really caught my heart.

I even bought the DVD cover although it's not the US' region number but I got special 1337 skills and I can watch them here on my computer without changing the region code on my DVD drive.

I was watching them on YouTube (subbed by fans) and I was so sad that season one had only 9 shows.

But season two I'm so excited and I'm watching the first show (2 hours long) and it's GREAT. Too bad the second newest episode will come out several weeks (like the others) latter until somebody records them on TV and puts English subs.

I really hope that the US will pick up on this under ground fan trend like Yo Soy Betty La Fea and create an US version (like Ugly Betty... which is also a big favorite of mine.)

Whites invented scalping. Just keeping it in context for you.

I was feeling fat this morning so I jogged a lot further than I usually do. I guess anger really does pay off.

Well, we were doing a pretty good job up to that point without thier help. We could have won, just not as quickly.

Yeah I did see them going the distance. We can still bet on how many kids Brad and Angelina will have by the end of the year.
What was the critiera for your bet again? Do they just have to hook up or actually become a couple?

I can do a dollar.

Now, for the Angelina and Brad wager, do we make separate bets for how many biological and adopted children they take in, or just combine them all together?

Because there are already rumors going around that Angie is carrying yet another baby bump. I anticipate one more biological child before the year is out, and I'll guess that they might adopt as many as 3 more kids. So, the total I guess is that they add 4 more kids total.

Just saw Children of Men.

The movie was simply fucking outstanding.

Clive Owen was magnificent, it was scary how they show immigrants and immigration and how they were treated.

I recommend that you all see it

It's not so much the temperature or humidity or any of that...really it's the fact that it keeps changing. First warm, then cold, then wet, then dry.

I want snow.

LOL, you people still sleep on the weekend. I got 3 hours of sleep thursday night, pulled an all nighter friday, went to bed at noon, and went right back out at 9 that night to party untill 4 AM. I got home, slept til 9, ran some sound for the church, and now I'm ready to go out again.

Damn I rock. Sleep is for bundles of sticks.

We've been going from mid 30's and 40's, down to 0 with 25 mph winds, and back up to snow-melting weather. The result? Some stellar smooth ice on all the lakes, an ice skater's dream and a fishermen's bane.

Had two more people go through the ice last week, one in a brand new Cherokee and another with his tractor, hauling out his fish house. If anyone here is a snowmobile rider, WATCH OUT FOR OPEN ICE FROM IDIOTS WHO GO THROUGH. I lost a good friend a few years that way, and every time I see sledders cruisin across the ice, I can't help but think of it.

I'm seeing a lot of progress with my cousin in every aspect of his life. He's eating slower, taking care of his skin problems, losing some weight, improving in both grades and athletic peformance in wrestling.

But I'm feeling so guilty right now because I made a grown up boy cry. These are the tears of a spoiled kid, but still... I feel pretty bad.

And the problem is that I still feel he isn't submissive, that I'm the opponent in his race too... trying to be number one lazy bastard in the world. Only reason he comes to me is because his mother forces him to come (or else I come over there.)

I guess this how it should be.
I tend to be cooler with my cousins once we're old enough to share a beer and watch some boobies (like my other twins who for all their life thought I was a prick until they became legal adults. Now we're like "The Three" in our family, or the big four once we combine with our cousin Carlos in Mexico.)

*sigh*
I just want him to understand that he can do more better and that... one day... His parents are gonna die and that it would be terrible thing if he didn't have an education, a well groomed appearance, or social skills to fend himself.

I just left him go after we've done two hours Reed-Kellogg diagramming (a skill that isn't taught in Californian public schools anymore, and I don't know why the Hell it isn't because it's DEAD-USEFUL in learning grammar.)

He's so behind in so many things and if it weren't for the fact that I'm pushing him, he would have no ambition to learn unless he got into some real deep shit.

Sometimes people need to be pushed to succeed. Sometimes positive reinforcement doesn't work, and you have to be a little negative. It sounds as if you are doing great things with him. Keep it up and I hope it works out.

Yeah, go Fli!

Grammar, hmm, lemme see, was I actually taught that beyond year 6? Nope. Not a sausage. And I have no idea what a Reed-Kellog diagram is. Makes me think of Cornflakes.

The funnest thing to do with grammar...

I'm such a nerd... I even got a new book called Sister Bernadette's Dog Barks which is about a woman's passion to diagram sentences...

I'm not the best, but man... trying to diagramm an ee cummings poem, "anyone lived in a pretty how town," was the biggest success I've felt in university.

It's truly an lost art form that I hope that California reconsider reviving because, in my experiance, even immigrant children with minimal English are able to accomplish this easily once they've practiced it. It's easier for them to see the physical parts of sentences in a picture than to see the sentence with out it.

Very interesting. I got stuck at "predicate", which shows how bad my theoretical grammer is. I continued, however, and it looks quite good. I thought it was a bit lacking in that it doesn't specify whether each modifier under a line goes before or after the word above. (My understanding of the diagram is alright, isn't it?)

My main trouble is in punctuation. I only have a faint idea how to use a semicolon, and I always put a comma where I pause in speech, despite the fact that you're not supposed to put a comma before an "and" at the end of a list, like I did earlier in this sentance.

in my life:

a day or two ago we spent a few hours crying in my car one night because I want to drink legally at my own wedding. i mentioned it and she said if i wanted a year, it was okay...so i said, yes a year would be okay with me. then the crying began because she refused to have our wedding on any other day then friday, july 13. no matter what. so it was either this year or 2012. which led me to cry because i was being an ass to her about it. and then she realized that the date really didnt much matter to me, it was just a nice thought for me, but i'm ready to be married. so we cried about being jerks to one another and kept the date for july 13 this year...bah.

been working. a lot. my boss told me last week she coulden't promise me work anymore because the mountain is hurting bad because of this fucked up winter. so she said take up evenings at a shopping center or whatnot. he had promised me every time i came to wokr, i'd have something to do to get paid for. then this weekend they had a trooper out on the hill making sure everyone out in their jackets were getting paid and were actually teaching (state run mountain etc...). also the mountain is being nazi about over time, you cant get it.. period. so basically you can't work more then 40 hours of group lessons in a week and then you better hope to god you get a private leson (not that bad in thought...but sucks when it's slow). but i havn't run into that problem because i wind up working half days most of the time now. even on holiday weekends.

Didnt go to work today because of my pet cat who decided 4am is the perfect time to howl for a few good hours.

aside from my emo rant, life is good. i got a $612 paycheck for christmas week and the week after, and hoping to at least get 400 for this next payperiod. if my parents dont want to pitch in and pay the $500 deposite for the reception hall for the wedding, i can still pay it now. heather and i are going down to albany soon with my little sister so the girls can look at wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses and i can look at fancy tuxes and she can get some 15000 mile check up for her car. (my car just passed 145,000 miles this past week...its begun to stall out during really hard turns where i have my steering wheel cranked all the way....

ordered pizza, answered in heather's sexy pajama stuff to make the pizza guy feel weird, he did, he also got lost and i had to look out the window and tell him to turn around and come back to our apartment building. then he forgot our 2 litre of pepsi and he had to come back, this time i wore pants for him. but i kept the sexy shirt on ^_^.
