Example; if the government had no qualms in killing 3,000 innocent civilians on 9/11 just so they could have a reason to blame middle eastern muslim countries, why wouldn't that same government just stage a few more "terrorist attacks" to silence conspiracy theorists like Jon Conner and his site?

No only would killing him by the same means of his theories be far too predicatable it could be determined that he's not worth the collateral of that or a more concielable and thus just as fishy death. It's good for a government to keep some of the less credible nay sayers around as it gives others a bad name.

Well that quote backfired in my face.

What I was trying to get at by quoting old Benny is that maybe those 5 still frame images were all that was caught on camera of what happened that day. In my mind, it would make sense that if there was any other footage, it would have been leaked to the internet by some lemming in the pentagon by now, or better yet; officially released to the media.

I personally think it's pitiful that our government can spend $200 on a hammer and $300 on a toilet seat, but can't afford a decent security camera for one of it's most important buildings... but meh. That's government for you.

But then, here's something else to consider; who made the claim that there was any other video evidence to begin with? As far as I know, the same conspiracy theorists we're griping about now.

Oh, and on a different note, I measured my dad's shot glass. It can hold approximately 2.5 fluid ounces...

So last week when my brother downed the straight Jager, he really downed something like 3.75 ounces (112.5 milliliters) of Jager, a little over half of the bottle I bought. YUMMY.

The ever relatable evil overlord list:
107. I will see to it that plucky young lads/lasses in strange clothes and with the accent of an outlander shall REGULARLY climb some monument in the main square of my capital and denounce me, claim to know the secret of my power, rally the masses to rebellion, etc. That way, the citizens will be jaded in case the real thing ever comes along.

can you remember the last time video leaked from the Pentagon?

or better yet; officially released to the media.

they did release 2 more inconclusive frames. Makes one wonder why they need to bait nutjobs, kinda like they did with that Roswell (Cold War espionage) saga.

At 12/29/06 05:54 PM, Bolo wrote: Hey Fli? How is that whole thing with your friend working for the Scientologists going?

Are they still following you?

\

I "bumped" into him but, you know, it's still creepy because all the stuff I'm reading on the net... for those who don't know-- remember the friend whom I've bitched out for taking the front seat and how he annoyed me for sleeping over here two nights in a row while I did his laundry...

He's in Scientology... not because he wants to be with them, not because he truly believes in what they say, but because... they offered him a job.

Here's the story-- "Witness my creepy Scientology story..."
Here's a pic of him (not full face)--

In short, he told them about me because they told him that whoever is telling contradictory stuff about their organization, he should inform them so that they can tell him the complete and "straightened out" version of Scientology--

And guess what?
My friend is still "in training" after several months... so the work he's done for them is essentially free. And he's got a 5 year contract with them. For what? I don't know--

He told me he wouldn't have never joined up if he heard about "Lord Xenu" space alien... he said that he heard "science" in the name and said, "I'm a man of science... why the hell not."

Science fiction, but science? yeah fucking right...

So in the end, I'm acting paronoid, but google up stuff and you'll see why. AT LEAST I planted seeds of doubt in his mind because if he's working for free for them, I feel they've effectively brain washed him enough and it's only a matter of time they start asking him for donations and forcing him to do odd medicine and retrivals and stuff. (Like Lisa McPherson...)

Most of the time when I get to my pm's, the problem has been taken care of. It's not that I don't check them, it's just that due to my erratic work schedule and homelife I'm not as active on here at times when I would like to be.

And yes, I do get the same amount of maniacal thrill from banning alt accounts as everyone else does.

I got "recognized"

And by that I mean some of Burn the Masses (local grindcore band) friends saw my NG sticker and went "YAY! TEH NGS!!!" and then I gave them stickers and told them Tom has a swishy ass (which he does).

I also spent like 6 hours jamming with a 32 degree mason with a doctorate in judaic studies.

Apparently I get around.

ie, not on NG so much.

Not doing much for New Year's Eve. I figure that's okay. Our water heater's broken. This means that if anyone wants a shower, Dad has to light the pilot light and we have to hurry before it goes back out.

No, not a joke thread-- but the situation was this:
my friend told them that I told him that Scientology is wacky and that I showed him South Park, websites, and the such.

They're trying to convince him that I'm not a good friend because I'm persecuting them for his beliefs. Well, I told him like this:

"I don't mind whatever people believe because towards the end, believing or not believing are equally absurd. A half-mortal/ half god man born from a Virgin dies and then comes back to life. That's freaky, and it doesn't make any more sense than the Xenu story." This is more or less what I told him. "For me, it's the same as being an Atheist, and so in the end you have to choose 'the lesser evil of the two.' And not even that! In that case, you gotta choose what ever makes you happy. And before you do that, you gotta make sure you'll accept risks and consequences."

My friend at least is being truthful in saying that he thinks (he's not willing to say "I know"-- not right now) that he did a mistake. But of course, I think Scientology were shifty people because why in the Hell didn't they tell him that the space lord Xenu story?

He was thinking it was a Science thing, or whatever...

In any case, I don't think this isn't gonna be a conspirancy/ hollywood chase story (Lord knows I don't need that in my life.) From what I'm told and from what I've head, Scientologist frequently vist friends and family of their members to squelch their disbeiefs-- They do this by trying to convince friends and family that the only problem is in their own lifes and they do this by convincing them that got some hidden shit going on their lifes. (In that youtube video, remember how those scientolgist creeps were calling the camera guy a pedophile?)

In any case, my friend is still doing that thing, but at least he's lifting a brow at them.
